Namek Evolution -- Click here to visit
Namek Evolution is a website that started up in the anime community not too long ago. From this day backward, i think i could remember the first day that they opened
their doors to the community. And BAM right away, they had taken their first step into the worst community on the net. The most corrupt community on the net. Yes thats
right, the anime community, formerly one of the top, are now dwindeling in their gutters, scraping up every last hit that they can get. They are only second lowest
to the ever so popular Pornography businuss. Now don't get me wrong, i don't generalise all sites in the community, there are some that have their reasons, and there
are some that are not as i say they are. But i am sure i can name over a dozen off the top of my head that are a prime example of this mess. Back to Namek Evolution.
Ther started off fairly the same as any other site. And are now doing very well for a site of their age.
The graphics on this site, are currently superior to that of what i would expect from a typical site of their age, and stature. They have very thought out crapgics.
Although i doubt weather they are all original. However, there is no doubt that the staff, or a staff of that site did make at least some of the graphics on that site.
And i'm not accusing them of stealing graphics or anything, but they are very good. Although the placement of the graphics are not exactly on the neat side, i'm not
here to discuss the layout, i'm here to duscuss the graphics...we'll talk about the layout later down the line. CONTENT: 6.5/10
As you can see in the image above (by clicking it) the sections highlited in white are the websites content listings. They currently have quite a few pages of anime
info, and they have a large scelection of dragonball information. They have many links that lead to many things, most of them obvious, and all other sites have them.
But they have quite a few links that are original also. The content although a bit slopy, is well written, by sloppy i mean that it is organised poorly. They have
links here and there, and everywhere you can throw your evey at. You don't know where the links are, whats a link and whats not. You have to hover over it to find
out. Other then that good content, bad organisation, i'm sure they'll fix that in future versions. GRAPHICS: 6/10
The level of interactivity on this site is very nice, it's better then this sites thats for sure, but then again, this site is here for a different purpose then they
currently are. The picture you see to your left is a screenshot taken showing the interactive things that are currently on the layout. The scelections highlited in
white (the tagboard) and (the affiliates) around the layout are all ways that the viever can interact with the site, and make different things happen on the site. The
viewer can decide what happends, and they have freedom to do what they want. Namek Evolution also has a poll on their splash page currently asking what they need to
improve on. What type of staff they need most. This allows the user to inform the webmasters, so that they can better suit the people who visit the site. Because afterall
a site that pleases the people always has them coming back for more. And most people come back to sites to see if anything that they have done in the interactivity part
has changed. Like if they have posted on the tagboard, they usually come back to see if that has changed. Little things like this can bring a site closer to sucess.
INTERACT: 7/10
The Layout, well, this is the conclusion of this review, and i have one thing to say. The layout has good graphics, and terrible organisation. I hope they learn from
their mistakes, and make version 4 much neater.
