Potara Fusion The first type of fusion I am going to talk about here is Potara fusion. In order to do this type of fusion, you have to have a set of Potara earings, that only the Kaio-shins have. The only people to do this were Rou Kaiou-shin with an old witch[not on purpose], Kibito with Kaiou-shin, and Vejita with Gokou. When Kibito and Kaiou-shin did it, they were doing it as an example, but little did they know that it is a permanent fusion. Well it is supposed to be a permanent fusion, but when Vejitto is inside Buu, the fusion reverses. This, is by far, the most powerful fusion in the show, even though Rou Kaiou-shin makes fun of "Kaiou-bito" by saying they still aren't strong enough to attempt a fight with Buu. He also said that if Gokou were to be Super Saiya-jin before the fusion, the power overload could be disastrous. Also, it was originally meant that Gokou would fuse with Gohan, but due to Gohan's lack of catching skills, and then being absorbed, Vejita got called in for the role. In order to do this fusion, one person wears one of the earings on his right ear, and the other one wears one of them on his left.
Namek Fusion This type of fusion can only be done by Nameks [hey that makes sense once you look at the name! ^.^]. It is assumed that probably all Nameks can do it, but only 3 do, well actually 2 when you think about it. In the Freezer saga, Nail fuses with Piccolo. In the android saga, Kami-sama fuses with Piccolo, so it is a 3 in one deal there, hey there is a party in Piccolo, and all Nameks are invited! Hehe. In order to do this, only one of the Nameks has to know how to do it. So one of them puts his pointer and middle finger together and puts it on the other Nameks body. Then the Namek with his fingers on the other one, disappears into the other one. The one that disappeared is in the other one, and all his thoughts, memories, and all of that remains. This is a very powerful technique, but not nearly as powerful as Potara, or the fusion i am about to explain.
Fusion with the Fusion dance This type of fusion, in my opinion is the best, because there are so many interesting screw ups that can happen!! In order to do this, the 2 users must have the same ki [or the one with higher ki will lower it to match], they have to be of the same race, and about the same size. The 2 users, must perform a fusion dance, which unfortunatly is fairly hard to learn. If done incorrectly, the results..are horrible, but funny ass characters. [Fat Gojita, Fat Gotenks, Old Gotenks] But if done correctly, the resulting character is very powerful, but not as powerful as with Potara.[Super 4 Gojita does surpass Vejitto in strength, but only because Gokou and Vejita seperatly were so much stronger at that point.] This type of fusion is probably the most seen throughout the series, and can only last for 30 minutes. A similiarity with this and Potara, is that the resulting character, is nothing like the original two. It has it's own personality, and is always very cocky. The people to use this were Goten with Trunks, and Vejita with Gokou.
