| Warcraft
III // Time to wage medieval wars!
|
Welcome to a world filled with fantasy, filled with
monsters, knights and dragons. This is the world of warcraft
III. Where 4 unique races battle it out to see who is the
strongest. It has been quite some time since the great war of
the orcs and humans ended. But now a new breed of terror has
come, along with the savage Orcs, 2 new races has emerged, the
Undead and the Night Elves.

Strategy games are basically all the same,
gather resources, build an army and destroy the enemy base.
But warcraft 3 is so much more than that. It is like a
strategy/adventure/rpg game all in one. The controls are
pretty solid since it is a blizzard game. It has all you would
expect such as easy short cut keys, easy assign groups, etc.
But they still lack real strategies such as formations but
they have enough features to keep you busy.
Like I said, this is more of an adventure/rpg than it is a
strategy. You have little quests that you must do throughout
the game. There is even talking in the game like what you
would find in an rpg. There are heroes that gain levels and
get stronger if you keep fighting. There are items that you
can pick up such as rings, scrolls, potions that give you
power-ups. All these little things makes it very fun.
Warcraft in 3d for the first time and it looks amazing. A
little blocky but the warcraft series has always been cartoony
than it is realistic so it was alright. The frame rate is good
but I experienced some slow downs when there is a massive
amount of units moving at once. Maybe that's just my computer.
Overall everything looks good.
The sound effects of any blizzard games have always been good.
They really get you into the game and warcraft III does just
that. The unit voices are cool and you really feel for them
when they die. The sound track is perfect for the game.
Warcraft III is simply a great game to get.
