The two androids arrived. During the 3 years of training Vegeta mastered the Super Saiyan form, the second person to do it. Goku meanwhile was infected with a heart disease, so he couldn't fight. Vegeta easily killed one of them, but the other one who Bulma revealed to be Dr. Gero himself escaped and headed towards his lab. He awakened Androids 17, 18 and suprisingly another one, which was much stronger and programmed to kill Goku, 16. The Z warriors followed Gero to his lab. They all had a go at the three androids, but none of them were strong enough. 17 meanwhile kills his own creator. 17, 18 and 16 set off towards Goku's house where Goku is sleeping, trying to recover from his heart disease. Piccolo meanwhile fuses with God to become Super Namek. Piccolo thinks he is strong enough to take out the androids. He encounters all three androids and 17 fights Piccolo. But during the fight, another one of Gero's creations arrived, Cell, who consisted of cells of the greatest warriors in the universe including Goku, and Cell had the ability to absorb, and he acquired the bodies of Androids 17 and 18 in his body to reach perfection. Suddenly, Goku awoke and didn't die, courtesy of the medicine. Goke took his son, Trunks and Vegeta in a chamber to get some training. Only two were allowed in at a time. Vegeta and Trunks went in first and came out Super Strong. They arrived at the battlefield where Cell had already absorbed 17 and was in his 2nd form. Cell approached 18, but Vegeta and Trunks arrived. Meanwhile Piccolo and Tien go to Sky Palace. Goku and Gohan enter and come out again as strong as ever(Trunks and Gohan are Super Saiyans at this stage) Over at the battlefield Vegeta continues his pounding, until Cell persuades Vegeta into thinking that he'll be a better challenge when he absorbs 18. He absorbs 18 and becomes Perfect Cell. Perfect Cell easily beats up Vegeta and Trunks, and he flies off in boredom. Trunks, 16, Vegeta and Krillin all receive senzu and return to Sky palace. Cell holds a Cell Games Tournament. All the Z gang arrive, and Goku steps up to fight Cell first. They are equal, but Goku suddenly yields to Cell and Gohan steps in. Gohan says it's meaningless to fight unless he's angry. Cell makes Gohan angry by killing 16, and Gohan transforms into Super Saiyan 2. With this form Gohan kills Cell, but in the huge battle Goku dies and also King kai's planet is exploded...
