Review:
FS2002 very good upgrade from previous versions. The ATC works well, though
there a few bugs that are annoying. MS should design an auto-save feature when
the game crashes, so that you can restore it upon re-launch. Links 2001 performs
this very well, and FS 2002 needs the same function incorporated badly.
As for the game when it works...it is extremely fun to fly just about anywhere.
The scenery auto-generator is a big plus. Of course, the terrain detail is not
perfect, but it's as close as anybody has gotten so far. Buildings in cities
tend to be represented pretty well. They are not exact, though...perhaps by
design they couldn't be due to trade marking or something, I don't know. For
example, Kansas City has a "twin-tower"-topped building. In the game, this
building only has one tower. Also, not all of the planes have the virtual
cockpit which is my favorite view. Not sure why.
Best Runs on a 866 Pentium III, with 256MB RAM, and a GEFORCE card, and the game
was reasonably smooth, though it got a little rough when flying at night. I had
turned up the graphics level and ran 800x600x32 resolution. Overall, though, it
was smoother than previous versions of FS on my previous PCs.
It's a tad bit expensive, but if you love flying, it's a must have
Cheats:
Its a
simulation not really a game. Duh :p
