» SUBJECT: Naruto Fan subbing Choice
–• Monday , August 16, 2004 @ 2:13 am
- I'm sure all of you fans have heard about the split between ANBU and AnimeOne (aka Gotwoot).
I PERSONALY was wondering which Sub had a better quality AVI movie for naruto.
I went ahead and DL both and watched both Files
In my OPINION, I like AnimeOne.
A few reasons are listed below
1. Same FONT used for the subtitles (I don't know about you guys/gals but I like the font used, its sends the message that a lot of time and care was placed into the subtitling of the show)
2. The picture quality seemed to be more Sharp with AnimeOne, where as Anbu picture quality was a bit Blurry
3. The translations were m uch more realistic (meaning it was translated from japanese to an english slangs and NOT Direct Translations as Anbu had)

Only Downfall was AnimeOne was released a day after Anbu. Now this is not to say that it will always be released LATE or Early but that would be my only gripe.

What bothers me is now the SEEDS will be split between Anbu and AnimeOne meaning less seeds mean longer DL.

Thanks to Naruto Info they found a link to a place that backs my argument up.
- AnimeOne Vs. Anbu

You all decide and post comments on which you prefer...

- Anbu
- AnimeOne

» SUBJECT: Some MINOR changes
–• Sunday , August 15, 2004 @ 1:07 pm
- I hate UPDATING on the site in place of NEWS, but I thought it was much needed.

The layout has changed OBVIOUSLY. Its clean and simple as we are an Anime Fan site NOT a designing site. If you want a GRAPHICALY designed site with all the flashy designs and a hoobalah of renders, then I should point you to google and type in GRAPHIC DESIGNED SITES.

As of now, a few minor adjustments will be needed for the php to work smoother with the layout. Cute news will also go through a revamping and a few minor bugs need to be worked out on it.

All in all we are getting back on our feet but are in no real rush. HASTE makes WASTE.

Thanks to all who support the site

–• Friday , August 13, 2004 @ 11:53 pm

Kyle Hebert discuss the potential episode numbering for the DBZ re-dubs on his forums. According to Lance Heiskill public relations guy at FUNimation the episode numbering will be handled lettering certain episode with different parts (for example: Ep 01a and Ep 01b).

If you are out of the loop this post is a follow up of the news released at Otakon 04. Where FUNimation announced their plans to remaster and re-release uncensored DVD versions of the first 53 DBZ episodes, which will come out Spring/Summer of 2005... ...& The Dragonball GT movie (tv special) is due out November 16, 2004.

» SUBJECT: Bad Reviews for Yu-Gi-Oh the Movie
–• Friday , August 13, 2004 @ 7:41 pm
- SI reports that Yu-Gi-Oh the Movie premiered in theaters today, August 13, 2004. While today was the first day many people saw it, the critics saw it before hand and, boy, they have given the movie horrible reviews. On Yahoo! Movies, the average rating by a critic was a D+, far below the possible A+ rating. The public, however, gave it an average rating of a C+, which is still pretty bad. I'm sure Yu-Gi-Oh fans were expecting more from the movie based on the popular card game and animated television show. Yahoo! Movies gives a
compilation of reviews written by many critics from places such as the Boston Globe and the New York Times along with reviews by its own Yahoo! users.
