"I was hit by a bus on the way to beat the enemy", says Vegeta, looking ashamed. "How did that happen?", Trunks wondered. "How come you didn't just fly there?" "You moron, if he detected my ki if I flew, the enemy would have tracked me down and killed me! So, I decided to walk to where the enemy was. However, I didn't look both ways when I crossed the street, so I umm....kind of got hit by a bus.", Vegeta says. "You poor thing", says Trunks with a smirk. "Let's bandage you up and put you in bed." He does so, and the Z-Gang goes to Capsule Corp. to give Vegeta some "Get well soon" balloons and flowers while he recuperates.
