In a split second, Trunks decides to risk it all for the sake of his father. "DAAAADD!!!!", Trunks screams as he throws himself in front of Piccolo's blast. "You idiot!!! What are you doing!?", Vegeta yells, with a bit of concern in his voice. As soon as Trunks commits himself to protecting his father, the blast hits Trunks with an unfathomable force. Trunks lets out an a fiexcruciating and painful scream, and Vegeta watches, shocked. When Piccolo ends his attack, Vegeta tries to revive Trunks. 'Hey! Brat! Come on...open your eyes, kid....Trunks...". But it's already too late. Trunks' noble act resulted in the loss of his life. "TRUUUUUUNKKKKSSSS!", Vegeta screams. "Bastard, you're gonna pay!" In a flash, Vegeta zooms to an unsuspecting Piccolo and punches a hole right through his stomach, instantly killing him. "No one fucks with anyone in my family...no one...", Vegeta quietly says as he lets the tears run down his face. He now realizes that his son was never the "wimp" he had believed him to be.
