Trunks decides that fighting Piccolo at this point could result in his destruction. Grief striken, he quickly flies out of harm's way and returns to Capsulr Corp. He tells the gang what happened to Vegeta, and they're all shocked. Everyone tells Trunks that it wasn't his fault what happened, but Trunks refuses to forgive himself for what happened. He spends quite a long time in sorrow and regret.
