Episode 34

Get this guys! You're never gonna believe it! Apparently, when a person gets hit in the face with a fist as powerful as a Mack Truck, they actually, (get this!), bleed! By leafing through ancient transcripts from the B.C. (Before. Censors.) era, I found out that there is really something in our bodies called blood that transports material neccessary to survive through our body. I also read that when injured, it will flow out of a wound! Wow! What a concept! But seriously, please enjoy these next pictures. They are a fine example of just how much butt Japanese DBZ really kicks.

Episode 35

And now the dramatic end to this titanic battle. I'll just point out a few things first. In the fifth picture down, it's difficult to see, But Vegita is beating the snot out of Yajirobe while he's on the ground. That part was totally taken out. Also, the scene where Gokou pleads with Kuririn to spare Vegita's life is a LOT longer and more dramatic.

Episode 35

It's a real shame, but my copy of this episode just will not come out good on my screen capture program. The quality of the video itself is okay, but when viewed through Win/TV (my screen capture program), it just comes out a garbled mess which is really a shame because a LOT was cut from this episode. I'll sum it up as best as I can. After picking up Gohan and Kuririn, the gang doesn't just fly off and discuss Nameck. There's a huge chunk taken out in which Kuririn tells the location of Yamucha, Piccolo and Tenshinhan's remains. (Remember, there was nothing left of Chaozu). Buruma breaks out in tears as the bodies are packed into preservation chambers, and loaded on the ship, Muten Roshi confesses to Karin that even HE isn't able to control his anger toward the Saiya-jin. After that Kuririn suffers a "shell-shock" of sorts and has flashbacks to everyone's deaths. It's all very emotional, and a tear-jerking scene. I'd recommend getting this episode just to see the drama of it. And for no reason, they completely botched the story of Piccolo's life. They refer to the Piccolo we know and love in DBZ as the Piccolo Daimaou Gokou killed when he was young. That's pretty much it, but it really ends up being a LOT! This episode actually ENDS in the part where they say, "To Nameck!", in the American version.

And thus begins the Nameck Saga. It should be a simple trip to a peaceful planet to retrieve just 7 Dragon Balls and make a simple wish. What could possibly go wrong? Piece of cake......right?
