Episode 37
Not all that much was taken out of this episode. Just a shot of Muten Roshi doing what he does best.
Episode 38
Blek! This episode didn't come out good either! I'll explain the pics since they're wavy. In the first three, Gohan has escaped from his hospital room in order to train himself. Unfortunately Chichi nabs him on the roof. In the last two pictures, Gokou tells Gohan to hit him as hard as he can. So he tries to. Gokou grabs his fist and holds it back. Finally he lets go and smiles. He commends his son on a job well done.
Episode 39
First and foremost, did you notice how when Gohan, Kuririn and Buruma walked down that dark hallway, Kuririn made a big deal of putting on his hat, then when they emerged five seconds later, it was off? That's because that hallway was a huge maze riddled with traps and they were in there for half the episode; and in one of the traps, Kuririn's hat falls into outer space. Second, notice in the last two pictures that Gohan and Kuririn call the beings children. None of them are prtrayed as adults like in the American version. The reason for this is explained in the next episode.
Episode 40
The first series of pictures are of Gokou getting a shot. This scene is absolutely hysterical, and I have no idea why it was editted since even three-year olds get to see and experience shots first hand. The next series is the children having flashbacks and explaining their past. From the pictures from episode 39 and this one, you should be able to piece together the whole story. The children on the ship are all orphans. Their parents were all killed by Freeza's men, but before they were killed, the parents loaded all of their children on a series of ships, and sent them on a course to reach a planet that they were doing buissness with. But Freeza's men followed the ships, and shot down all of them, except for this one.
