Gundam Wing Visuals: 4.5 Music: 4.5 Story: 4.5 Enjoyability: 4.0 Mech fans is this the anime for you. The gundams look beautiful and each is unique not only from each other but from all other gundams in any of the series. I have found that the anime strongly balances the heros, sure you can tell who the main character is but it doesnt have to revolve around him constantly, in fact there are many episodes where he doesn't even appear. The sense of equality amoung the heros is easy to see when talking to other people about it. In most animes when ever you ask someone who their favorite character is more then half the time their going to say the main character, not so with this one. One time i found a site that had a forum dedicated to the debate on which one of the gundams was best. Well to get back to the main part of the review. This anime has a great score and good voice acting that will help immerse you into its intricate storyline. The visuals are good too, all of it looks sharp with great animation and gundams that make you shit in your pants. As for the story line, like G Gundam it is in no way conected to the original Gundam, which left them plenty of room for changes. Unlike the other Gundam seires, the gundams are much more superior to their enemies mobile suits. The deisgns for Oz's mobile suits are cool, but for the first half of the seires they don't stand a chance. I would definately suggest trying to see the entire seires, at the very least watch what you can, you don't get the full effect but its better than nothing. This anime is a diffent rent or even buy. -Tarconis |
