Dragonball Manga - Volume 4

Goku and the 'terrible' Oolong stand face to face, with the latter person in the form of an Ox. He threatens Goku that this is his last chance to apologize, but Goku merely pleads with him to just start fighting already, and Oolong eventually obliges after giving up on trying to convince the young boy to run away. They are about to commence their fighting when the huge Ox looks up at the clock, and sees that it is a certain time, running off and hiding behind a fence, before a puff of smoke follows and he turns into a small, regular, unimpressive pig. He is completely out of breath after having to scamper away like that, and hears Goku coming, deciding to lean against the fence and whistle. Goku runs past, and hastily asks where the huge Ox went. Oolong doesn't hesitate in telling the kid that he ran off, pointing in a random direction, and making Goku give chase. The pig then begins laughing, mocking all of the townspeople for cowering at the feet of the atrocity that is he. Goku soon returns, and Oolong comforts him in not finding the Ox, not letting on that it was really him in disguise.

After Goku has walked off, Oolong contemplates why he wasn't scared, desperately trying to work out how a mere child wasn't afraid of such an intimidating animal. He can't work it out, but hears Goku casually saying that he chased him off. Oolong then transforms into a huge robotic creature, whose presence is terrifying, and whose height is unmatchable. He ventures into the village, and laughs at Goku for thinking he ran away. He counters that he merely went off to destroy another village, but has returned to fight now, with a boiling hot bowl of soup in one hand, and chopsticks in the other.

Goku is completely unimpressed, only tiring of Oolongs antics with his incessant blabbering and shape shifting. It is becoming tedious for the young child, and for everyone else from the looks of it. Oolong is angered by Goku's comments, and prepares to attack, but accidentally puts his finger in the soup, burning it, and making him put up a terrible fuss. When he finally finished groaning about the agony that he was in, a small child from the village hit him on the back of the head with a stone from a catapult, making him storm up and down, succumbed with pain. He turns round, and barks at the kid and his mother, demanding that the children are controlled during his fight, or he will become angry. They all cower down to his intimidating size advantage, but Goku has worked something out - That Oolong is really a weakling, and no matter how much the pig tries to deny it, Goku has intelligently figured out the truth.

Oolong counters asking Goku is he is strong, and when the boy says he knows Kung Fu, the shape shifter decides to set up a test, piling up three bricks and challenging the kid to break them with one punch. He does one better though, stepping forward and snapping them all in half with one swift chop from his index finger, making Oolong stammer with fear.

With a quick, and intelligent idea, Oolong turns into a bat, and quickly scuttles away, flying high into the air in an attempt to escape. After some encouragement from the harassing Bulma, Goku jumped on his nimbus cloud, and began his pursuit. All the villagers are stunned, and embarrassed that they never fought back against Oolong due to his sheer size and looks. Bulma assures them that Goku will easily catch up with the evil-doer, and sure enough he does in no time on his speedy cloud. Oolong then turns into a missile in an effort to make some more ground, but he is unsuccessful, as his five minutes run out, and he is forced to turn back to normal. Goku grabs the pig as he drops, saving his life, and can't believe that this is what he really looks like.

Oolong is tied up, and forced to show everyone where he has hidden the girls that he kidnapped for the village. After a brief walk, they arrive at the pigs palace-like house, only to see that all the girls have become spoilt brats, and don't want to come back. They've become such a handful that Oolong pleads with the village people to take them back.

The couple move on from the small village in search of the next Dragonball, hoping to complete their collection soon. They soar across the river in a speedboat, moving at an efficient pace, with Goku and Oolong sitting patiently in the back. The young, naive boy questions why they bothered to take the pig, a query that Oolong backs up and asks too. Bulma replies that the shape shifting technique may come in handy on their quest, a word that merely scares the coward Oolong. Bored, Goku decides to discover the gender of the pig by doing the 'pat pat' technique. He pats Oolong's private area, and can feel that there are things there, and comes to the conclusion that he's a guy, same as him. The pig shouts loudly as Goku, telling him never to touch him there again or there will be terrible consequences. Naturally, Goku isn't in the least bit scared of such an empty threat, and they all continue on their journey.

Tired of the ongoing traveling, Goku questions how long it will take to get to their destination, to which Bulma replies that there is about three days left of speeding across the river. She then begins reading the map out loud, and mentions that they have to go round "Fry Pan Mountain", which scares Oolong, making him act in a melodramatic way. He informs them that the Ox King lives there, then turns into a fish and tries to escape. Bulma comes up with a plan to catch him though, using a fishing rod, with panties as bait, to hoist him back into the boat. Goku tells Oolong that they know what's for dinner if he tries the fish trick again, and the pig slouches in his seat, knowing that he has been defeated.

They continue onwards, and Bulma gives Oolong a little sweet, and says that if he makes himself nice and useful he'll get a pair of panties, and being the pervert that he is, he's happy to oblige, and sit back and behave. The boat suddenly "stops talking" as Goku said, and Bulma notes that they are out of gas. She convinces Oolong to change into an oar, allowing Goku to utilize him and row to shore. The talented young girl then gets off the boat to use a gas capsule, only to discover that they're all gone. This sends her into a state of blind rage, shouting at everyone (As usual) and groaning about the fact that there's no house, no bike, no car, nothing. Goku doesn't see the problem with walking, but then again, he's riding on a cloud so it doesn't affect him.

After Bulma's finished her ranting, she notices that Oolong has gone, and just after Goku has suggested she has him turn into a "Dyke", meaning bike. Bulma begins whistling "swee", and informs Oolong that the sweet she gave him gives him the trots, making him need to crap whenever she whistles that line. The pig immediately gives himself away by letting rip in the bushes, and quickly confesses and gives himself in to prevent anymore whistling from going on. Goku is impressed with the trick, and decides he wants a go, whistling then laughing himself silly as Oolong dives into a bush to relieve himself. The pig isn't amused though, more like irate at the kid for being so annoying. He finally finishes then comes out and turns into a bike, not a very good one at that. Bulma sits on it, but immediately it is squashed down, making her get off. Oolong goes back to normal, and informs her that his mediocre strength remains, whatever form he takes, and it would only last for 5 minutes anyway. Goku reminds them that it looks as though they're walking, annoying them massively as they beginning trudging on. Goku goes on foot too, so they don't feel like he's cheating them in anyway.

After a reasonably far distance, Oolong and Bulma are too tired to walk anymore, whereas Goku is still full of energy. While Bulma complains, a small floating cat-like creature is watching suspiciously with a telescope. It's name is Puar, and it reports to its master - Yamcha, that some people are in the desert, and they probably have some capsules or something on them. Within seconds they are on a very speedy vehicle, rocketing towards the trio. Goku asks Oolong if he likes pork as they contemplate what to eat, only getting an annoyed grunt back. The pig then notices the bike-like machine speeding towards them, and looks on in fear as Yamcha and Puar approach.
