Atari's latest Dragon Ball release, "Budokai 2" for the Sony PlayStation 2, is being released tomorrow, December 2.
Unless you've been living under a rock in Mongolia for the past half-year, then you already know this, but anyway...it's a 3D fighting game based on DBZ and is a sequal to the smash hit--but fairly disapointing--"Budokai". With improved graphics, added characters, and an all new Dragon World mode, this game looks to be a major success.
But what's uber-sh!tty about this game, is that there IS NO STORY MODE! Even if this Dragon Mode thingy takes up so much space, then why don't they just release it on 2 CDs? In my opinion, they should have done that with the first Budokai, and released both games as one.
I'm waiting 'til Christmas to get it. This way I won't have to pay for it!!! lol...

| Taipon, I agree with you, they really should've put a f!!!!!! story mode on the d!!! game! I mean, it would be more fun to not just play as Vegito, Gogeta,Gotenks,or Goten, but they could have given us a story mode! That can't be too much to ask |

i'm in the UK so i've been playing Budokai 2 for a couple of weeks now  the story mode (dragon world) is only ok. the AWFUL loading times from the 1st game have been sorted out and have a new novel loading thingy ROTATE ROSHI TO MAKE HIM FLY!!! very fun game in short bursts. |

| yeah but the uk game isn't dubbed by funimation its just crappy subbtitles written by a guy who hasn't even seen dbz. I imported the first bodikai to play it with the english vocices for my game cube, i'm gohna do that if the 2nd one comes out on the gamecube in the USA too. I might rent |

This game no matter what is an average fighting game what make it tight is characters, They should have went with the xbox it would look and play so much better.  |

you all bring up good points but i could care less, i mean ill just play in tournaments of budokai 2 and win money all the time cause i can kick so much a** with trunks on budokai 1
whatever do what u want, i want the game as long as there is some of the newest characters

| I think the Buu saga was pretty good. It probably had the best fighting in it. And the way they did Majin Vegeta was pretty awesome. Vegeta was the best in that saga, rather than the crappy Frieza saga. |
