Welcome back, Z
Posted by Tapion on 12-05-2003 22:31
Ok, nothing's official, but here's something I found at Toonami InfoLink:

"A schedule has been released for January, and the Third Hour will unfortunately NOT be returning as previously reported.

Also, Dragonball Z will be returning after a three-month break and the schedule isn't 100% complete. (There are still a couple of time-slots to fill in the void.)"

New DBGT Videos
Posted by Tapion on 12-04-2003 05:02
The next two videos of Dragonball GT's "Evil Shenron" saga are up for grabs at Right Stuf Int., Inc.. They're both being released on March 30, '04. No covers yet, though.

Dragon Ball GT #13 - "Realization"

Dragon Ball GT #14 - "Conversion"

Oh, and if you find any news links that won't work, contact me, and I'll fix them ASAP.

P.S. -- FUNimation DOES NOT have the rights to the One Piece series. They did aqquire the rights at one time, but then trashed the trademark. The damn fools.

The Return of the Ghost Files
Posted by Tapion on 12-03-2003 05:17
If you haven't already guessed by the title, Yu Yu Hakusho is making its return to Toonami, in order to make the block less lame. No exact date though, but the month is January, with new eps. in March.

Remember that the guys at Cartoon Network are clinically insane and should probably be locked away in a room with padded walls, so this schedule is likely to change at least three or four times before it is final.

Budokai 2 Tomorrow
Posted by Tapion on 12-02-2003 04:57
Atari's latest Dragon Ball release, "Budokai 2" for the Sony PlayStation 2, is being released tomorrow, December 2.

Unless you've been living under a rock in Mongolia for the past half-year, then you already know this, but anyway...it's a 3D fighting game based on DBZ and is a sequal to the smash hit--but fairly disapointing--"Budokai". With improved graphics, added characters, and an all new Dragon World mode, this game looks to be a major success.

But what's uber-sh!tty about this game, is that there IS NO STORY MODE! Even if this Dragon Mode thingy takes up so much space, then why don't they just release it on 2 CDs? In my opinion, they should have done that with the first Budokai, and released both games as one.

I'm waiting 'til Christmas to get it. This way I won't have to pay for it!!! lol...

Lamest news in DBZGT-Legacy history
Posted by Tapion on 11-30-2003 09:23
Happy late Thanksgiving, Z-fans!! I hope yours wasn't as boring as mine. Oh well, at least the turkey was good.

Now for the news:
(source: Official dbz site)

--Wanna unlock the secrets of Atari's new Budokai 2? Well the iGuides are for you! Basically, it's just a strategy guide, except online and interactive. It gives you the weaknesses and strong points of all the characters, plus official cheats from the guys at Atari themselves. There's also a Driver 3 iGuide out on the web.

And:
At any Gamestop retail store, when you buy any DB/Z/GT product with a minimum of $19.99, you get a free card from Score's DBZ CCG.

Also from the official site, there's an interview with YYH's developer/designer. It also includes a question and answer session from Anime Expo 2003. You can either download it from the site, or watch it on the upcoming Yu Yu Hakusho release "Deadly Toguro".

They've also got an exclusive interview with Budokai 2 developers in Japan. Come see a preview of how the smash-sequal was created, or catch the full version on DBGT #10: "Revelations" on December 30^th.

DragonballZ.com has also (finally) posted the Super 17 saga summaries and episode guide. This is what you call a "short but sweet" saga. It only has a few eppies, but in them, there's a Tenkaichi Budoukai, a union of foes, and an explosive fight.

Goodnight, folkz...LATER!!!
