Dragonball GT Episode 30: Has Goku Passed On? "I'm dead"

(English title: The Game After Life)

(original, Japanese episode)

STATUS CHECK:
Goku: DEAD???
Mr. Satan, Buu, and Pan: Hiding in some remote place somewhere
BebiGoten, BebiGohan, BebiTrunks, and BebiBra: the best and most loyal of Bebi's slaves.
BebiVegeta: Bebi himself is controlling Vegeta
Entire Population of Earth: slaves of Bebi

On some remote snowy mountain, Buu spits Mr. Satan and Pan out, and they mourn over Goku's death. Back near where Goku's house used to be, BebiVegeta is sitting on his throne, where Dende delivers the Black Star Dragonballs to him. Bebi summons the red Shenlong, and the sky becomes dark everywhere. He wishes that his home world, the original Tsfurujin planet plant, will be restored in Earth's orbit. Pan laments that this means that the Earth will be in danger again if the Earth is not destroyed in one year. She begins to cry..

In some far off dimension, Goku wakes up. He is greeted by a small blue man in a red jacket. The man says that his name is Sogorou, and asks Goku if he feels lucky. Goku, totally confused by this point asks where he is, as all he sees is a giant board game world. Sogorou explains that they are going to play a simple game: Each player takes turns rolling the dice, and advances that number of spaces on the life-size board. Whoever makes to the end first wins. If you win you live; if you lose you die. Unfortunately, Sogorou has a winning streak of about 32,547,000. However, Goku sees that the only way to get out of Sogorouku's space is to play and win, so he consents.

Sogorou rolls and gets a 4. Goku gets a 6, but lands on a "go back 5 spaces" space, and ends up on 1. Sogorou gets a 3, which lands him on a "roll 3 extra times" space. Of course, Sogorou rolls three 6's.. Score: Sogorou 25, Goku 1

On the Supreme Kai planet, Old Kai and Kibito Kai are fishing. Old Kai is yelling at Kibito Kai, who let a fish slip out of his hands. Kibito is far more upset because of the other thing he let slip from his grasp, though - Goku. A flashback is shown, which reveals that when Goku was about to be destroyed by BebiVegeta's black death ball, Kibito Kai had teleported and grabbed Goku just in time. But in the frenzy, he had slipped because of the repricussions of the blast, and lost Goku in another dimension, Sogorouku's space. Coincidentally, that is the one place where the Kai's cannot help him.

Goku rolls a 5, and lands on a riddle space. "What can run but not walk?" Goku gets it wrong, of course. Three riddles wrong means death, and after each riddle the hole beneath Goku gets wider.. so basically Goku is screwed..

Bulma activates the Capsule Corp doomsday transport, capable of somehow holding the entire population of Earth. BebiVegeta gathers everyone inside, and decides it is time to transport asll of Earth to Planet Plant..

"What has a bottom at it's top?" "Uh…Krillen?" "Wrong, the correct answer is a leg!" (hole gets even wider) "Alright, Question 3.. Who always rides in a taxi but never pays?" "Ooh…Vegeta!" "Wrong, the correct answer is the driver!"

Goku falls in the hole, and tries to fly out. Unfortunately the usage of power is not allowed, and Goku falls further, powerless. Although, he does manage to land so that the spikes under the pit don't stab him, but all this means is more fun with Sogorou.. woohoo. Sogorou takes the dice again and rolls a 2. He then leans towards the dice and wispers "psst…6", and the dice complies, changing its face to show 6. Hmm.. I sense a conspiracy.. Goku then lands on a special space "Super challenge! Player must not cry!" Goku, acting confident, announces that he never cries. But Sogorou isn't too sure about that. First, Goku is pummeled with about a thousand onions, which are then sliced open with a thousand knives. Goku struggles to hold back the tears, and Sogorou can't help but laugh hysterically. Then a hologram of none other than Chi-Chi shows up! In a nurses outfit no less, she gives Goku a giant doctor's shot, which is his worst fear (I'm sure you remember episode 24). Goku finally starts to cry, but holds back. Sogorou is now beating Goku by more than half the board. Does he even have a chance to win, as he loses yet another turn? And even if he does, how will he ever be able to stop Bebi?

NEXT TIME: The end of the game.. a conspiracy with the dice???
