Dragonball Manga - Volume
1
The old man arrives on the turtle, and
introduces himself as Master Roshi, with the turtle saying only to
give the reward to Goku, seeing how he was the only one who helped him
out. Goku looks on regrettably, as he expects a stupid gift which has
no use whatsoever to him, but he was wrong. First of all Roshi calls
for a phoenix, but the turtle reminds him about the unfortunate
incident with the bird seed. He remembers, and scratches his idea of
getting Goku immortality, in favor of another thing. Shouting out
'Nimbus' Roshi waits until a flying cloud approaches, bemusing Bulma
and Goku. Goku asks how he can eat it, but Roshi patiently explains
that it is for riding, you fly on it, and attempts to give a little
example, but falls right through. It seems that only the pure hearted
can ride this little vehicle, and it also seems that he does not fit
into this category. Both he and the turtle are surprised, and assume
the Nimbus is just defective, but when Goku jumps on it and stays on,
everyone is impressed. He rides around on it skillfully for a while,
making it look easy until Bulma demands one too. Roshi is reluctant to
give her anything as she didn't help, but he has an idea for another
gift on one condition.
The condition of the perverted old man
is a peek of Bulma's panties, reminding the turtle of the hermits
habits, and giving him the realization of why he couldn't ride the
cloud. Bulma decides that as it's only her pants, then there's no
reason why not, and lifts her skirt up. Of course, Goku has taken off
her panties (See previous volume) so she bares all to Roshi without
realizing it, and then embarrassingly drops everything over concealing
the view and looks away. The old man is happy at the short glimpse he
got, and begins contemplating over what could possibly match such a
gift, what could he ever exchange for Bulma flashing for him?
The young girl notices a necklace
around Roshi's neck, with a small golden ball attached to it. The
quickly notices that it's the three star Dragonball, and asks if she
can have it in a pleading way. Roshi considers this offer, realizing
that he could make some money off it by Bulma's reaction, but when she
quickly flashes for him again, he knows that it is only fair to give
it her. He sure got his moneys worth. Leaving with a farewell, Roshi
climbs onto the turtle and is carried across the sea back to his
humble abode, grinning intently after getting two glimpses of that
nice young lady, and wishing that he bought a camera.
Bulma and Goku then set off, returning
to the capsule house, with Goku on his nimbus and Bulma on her bike.
The tailed child boasts about how his idea to help the turtle was so
good, but Bulma criticizes him and puts it all down to dumb luck. Goku
isn't bothered though, and merely enjoys his incredible reward,
relaxing on the flying cloud. They stop outside the house, and Bulma
goes inside to quickly change, but emits a huge scream when she
prepares to do so, with the words "My Panties!!!"
identifiable from all the noise. Goku goes inside to investigate the
noise, and Bulma is now whimpering, wondering how her pants can be
there if she has them on. Suddenly a terrible realization hits her,
and she knows that she hasn't got any on, and didn't have any when she
flashed to Roshi. Turning to Goku, she demands to know if he took them
off her, and he confesses without a single hint of guilt or remorse in
his voice, because he didn't know he shouldn't have done it. In a
frenzy of rage, Bulma pulls out a machine gun, and scatters bullets
all over Goku's back, sending the extraordinarily tough boy into a
state of extreme pain.
Bulma finishes getting changed, and she
turns the house into a capsule, putting it away with the rest of them,
and preparing to go, accompanied by her companion Goku. Knowing that
it will be faster on the kids cloud, Bulma asks to go on, but even
after the short time they've been together, Goku knows that she will
fall right through as she isn't pure of heart. Still though, Bulma
tries, and sure enough she slams her face hard against the floor,
going right through, claiming that her only sin is being too
beautiful. She arrogantly gets on her bike and speeds off afterwards,
pursuing Goku on his nimbus, which is far quicker than she is.
Their next destination is a small
village, where the next Dragonball seems to be. They enter it, but
nobody is there, and it is totally deserted of all kinds of life.
Bulma rudely shouts to gain everyone's attention, but her calls remain
unanswered, with Goku constantly claiming that he can sense that some
people are there, making her think he's nuts. The young boy
ventures towards a house, and knocks on the door for a while, before
punching a hole through it and opening it - One of the more efficient
ways of unlocking it. He peers into the darkness, and is hit on the
head with an axe, which consequentially breaks over his head, only
managing to anger him, and make a huge lump submerge. The bearer of
the axe pleads for forgiveness, calling Goku by the name of "Lord
Oolong", and begging him not to take his daughter.
After a brief pause, all is revealed,
Goku tells everyone that he's not Oolong, and they breathe a sigh of
relief. They then go through the story of the terrible shape shifting
Oolong, and talk about how vicious he is, coming to the village and
taking the young girls. He has already done it to a few, and he
threatens to kill or eat anybody who opposes him. Goku suggests that
they just beat him up, but they dismiss this, because Oolong is so big
and scary. Coming up with another bright idea, Bulma asks if any of
them have ever seen a Dragonball, using one of hers as an example. An
old lady comes forth claiming that she has one just like it,
interesting Bulma, then showing her the six star ball. Goku goes up to
her and pats her between the legs, revealing to everyone that she's a
girl, embarrassing the lady, and angering Bulma. This gives her an
idea though, as her greed for the Dragonballs lets her come up with
these fantastic plans.
Next thing we know, Goku is dressed in
a little girls outfit, very annoyed that he has to wear such a stupid
costume in order to be taken to Oolong's lair. The huge fiend
approaches, and tries to sweet talk the innocent young boy, who tricks
him into thinking that he's really an attractive girl. Sounds like an
incredibly hard feat, but hey, it's a comic book, anything can happen.
Anyway, Oolong starts talking to Goku, thinking he's either scared or
cold because he's shivering so much, so he turns into a handsome man.
Naturally Goku is scared of nothing, and he was shivering because he
needed the toilet so badly. Noticing the transformation, Bulma begins
drooling over the man, and suddenly decides that she wants to go
instead, and asks him, with Oolong deciding on who to take, shifting
towards the idea that both would be best, until he saw
something...odd. Goku could hold on no longer, and has began having a
wee in the bushes, in the method traditional to men, completely giving
away his cover. Oolong spots him doing this, and realizes he's a boy,
getting all mad that they tried to deceive him, then transforming into
a huge, bulky, powerful Ox. Goku describes the change as
"cool" and Bulma quickly runs off seeing that the previously
perfect man has changed greatly.
Knowing that it is pointless continuing
to pretend Goku is a girl, Bulma tells him to beat Oolong to an inch
of his life, so that he can tell them where he has hidden all the
girls. Goku happily whips off the girls dress to reveal his fighting
GI uniform, and prepares to do battle, not at all intimidated by the
beast Oolong.
