Excuse Impact in 5... 4... 3... 2... 1!
Posted Tuesday, February 11, 2003 by Mandrew
Wow, I almost feel like I'm not on the site at all, but it's still in my mind. I have just been VERY busy lately, but I don't want to bore you with excuses, so I'll just say, I'm pratically awake 24/7 now. I'm trying my hardest to push out these summaries, but it's hard when you have scheduled something right in the middle of your internet time. But, I am back, and over this break, made five summaries for such an occasion as this. So, enjoy them, because I don't know when I can update again. Cyas.

Just Ridiculous

Alright, Official DragonBall GT Site is now up and it is basically the same as the DB/Z site except it has video interviews with Barry Watson, Gen Fukunaga, Stephanie Nadolny, and others regarding the show. It also has the first 25 episode titles and descriptions up (Tsufuru-jins turned into Tsufuls). More importantly it also has the show's dub theme. It is without a doubt the worst thing I have ever heard. I mean no offense to FUNimation in any regards but this theme clearly was not thought throguh and does not describe the series at all. The theme is NOT a translation of "Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku". It is basically just a rapist uttering "Grand Tour" repeating while techno music plays. The theme in my opinion was not thought and it is trying to be "cool" in some respects, it isn't working. I can only see it appealing too little kids and when I first heard it I thought it was a joke. I am not slanderous often towards things, but this particularly annoyed me. One of GT's greatest assets was its amazing soundtrack. This is not amazing. More importantly when fans that have heard "GT is awful" tune into this and hear the theme, they may turn it off right away. A traslation of the original them like in the dub of DB would have been much better. This is below "Rock the Dragon". For any of you that have enjoyed the theme, I am sorry if I have offended you. This is simply my opinion and I think many may agree. You may listen to the theme yourself at the official site in the "What is GT" section. I actually enjoyed the GT series, so don't judge it on the theme, I just think a poor choice was made regarding the theme and I KNOW people will buy the DVDs for the wonderful original music.

Another DBZ Burger King Promotion
Posted Monday, February 10, 2003 by Daniel Kurland
Burger King is having another DBZ/Power Puff Girls promotion, and just like last time the toys are subpar. The toys seemed to be themed around movie 7 because Super Android 13 is one of them. Remember the original DBZ BK Toys, the ones that came with the cards? Man, those were some good toys, before DBZ's license went to hell and absolutely everything has its name on it. It's unfortunate. Those were soem good days though, if only we could go back...Anime News Network.com has more info. Cya later alligator.

Saiyanz Rage also has an image of the toys viewable by clicking here!

Release Dates Updated
Posted Thursday, February 6, 2003 by Tim
I think the title explains it all, but if not, I updated the release dates for this year. Remember, DBZ ends this year so there aren't that many dates.
