Dragonball Z Adventure History

22nd Tenkaichi Budoukai Saga
I've gotten stronger! Look what I can do!

Chapters 113-134, 22 chapters long, 1 2/3 books long

Comic One Hundred and Sixteen
Summary:

Arrival for Drawings
Back behind the main arena, Goku is doing some pushups, while Krillin reminds Yamcha of all the good times they had here, since the three of them qualified last time. Yamcha agrees, but their happiness turns to anger, when Tenshinhan shows up. He tells them that he's surprised to see them alive, because now that the elimination rounds are over, it won't get easier. Yamcha scolds him, saying that his talent is nothing compared to his and the reason he got here was only luck. Tenshinhan laughs at him, reminding Yamcha that he and his friend are greatly skilled. Krillin walks up to Chaozu, asking how did he ever make it past the elimination rounds? Chaozu just calls Krillin bald, making Krillin yell at him, saying he doesn't have any hair himself! Chaozu takes off his hat, revealing one hair! Krillin yells more, saying that even with just one hair, he's still practically bald! Chaozu counterattacks, saying he has more than him. Tenshinhan is embarrassed for the both of them, just trying to drag Chaozu away, saying they have to draw now. Krillin scolds Chaozu one last time, saying he'll get him!

As soon as the bickering stops, the announcer calls for all finalists to please come to him now. Goku comes up and gives a nice hello, while the announcer reminds him and himself that he made it the grand finals last time! He wishes him good luck, but needs to get down to business. He points at a board, where eight slots are. He instructs them to pull a number and they will be placed here. The one who advances the farthest and wins, will win the tournament. And now, the last winner, Jackie Chun. Jackie comes up, while Tenshinhan tells Chaozu that that was last year winner and they really need to stay on guard for him. While Jackie goes up, a wolf man starts to growl, catching Tenshinhan's attention. He asks if has anything against Jackie, making the wolf man say yes and he will get what's coming to him! Tenshinhan tell he understands, then looks at Chaozu, saying he wants him to pair up the wolf and the old man together. Chaozu smiles, while Jackie pulls out a number four. The announcer writes it down, saying that that's the fourth fight. He calls for Yamcha next, making Tenshinhan feel ready to fight. He tells Chaozu he wants to fight him in the first fight, to shut him up. Chaozu agrees, switching Yamcha's original number with a number one. The announcer looks at it, saying that that will be the first fight.

After Yamcha, is Panputo, who Chaozu pairs as number seven. Tenshinhan is next, while walking up, tells Chaozu to remember. Chaozu switches the numbers around, making Tenshinhan number two. Yamcha sees this as a great challenge, while the announcer tells everyone that the first fight is is with Yamcha and this other fighter. While walking back, Yamcha tries to put down Tenshinhan, saying that he'll win. Tenshinhan gives a smirk, telling Yamcha that he has that all wrong. Up next, is Krillin. Chaozu has his own agenda now, making Krillin be number six. The announcer writes Krillin's number down, saying he's in fight three. Up next, is Wolf Man. The wolf corrects him, saying that's Man Wolf! The announcer is confused, making the deformed human tell him his awful story. He is an actual wolf, that transforms into a man at the full moon. He loves to live the life as a human, but can't anymore, because the moon is gone! Krillin starts to whisper to Goku, saying that this guy is totally nuts. The announcer tries to smile affectionately to Man Wolf, saying that he understands completely! The Wolf Man then stares angrily at Jackie, making Jackie ask himself what is he staring at? Chaozu then flips Man Wolf's number, making him number three! The announcer tells everyone that the second match has been decided, with Jackie Chun vs. Man Wolf! Man Wolf growls evilly, telling himself that he did it!

Krillin asks if he has anything against Jackie, since he did blow up the moon. Yamcha doesn't know, but he tells Jackie to be on guard, which Chun agrees to greatly. After all the commotion, the announcer asks for a name he can't really pronounce. He asks for Gyuza, making Chaozu say that's me, which is Chaozu. The announcer corrects the mistake, while Chaozu pulls out a number. He gets number five, making the announcer say that the fifth number is for the third fight, which he will fight Krillin. Krillin wipes his forehead, saying that he was almost worried, but not against this little pipsqueak! The announcer then looks at the board, saying since only one slot is left, it will go to Goku, who is number eight, in the fourth fight, against Panputo! Goku gets confused, asking if he really knows if he's number eight? He pulls in the box, very skeptical, pulling out a number eight! He yells out that the announcer is really good, making the announcer say a solemn thank you. Tenshinhan laughs at Yamcha and Krillin, asking if Kamesennin taught them anything about numbers!? Chaozu pulls on Tenshinhan's clothes, saying that he doesn't know how to count either, making Tenshinhan say to stay quiet for now! The announcer looks at the board, saying that they now have everything ready, but will go over the rules again.

If you knock someone down for ten seconds, knock him out completely, or push him out of the ring, you win. No weapons or protective clothing is allowed and if you kill your opponent, you lose. Now, everyone will get to fight, but they must stay back here until their turn is announced. He then looks down to Goku, asking if he would like anything to eat before he gets to fight, making Goku yell out, food, food! Tenshinhan laughs at Yamcha again, telling him that his friend is very naive. He then looks at Chaozu, telling him to get ready to hold nothing back. Krillin starts talking with Yamcha, telling him that if all four of them play their cards right, they can all meet in a match later on! Jackie agrees, but they have to go through others. Outside, everyone is yelling for the fights to start. Turtle is asking when they will get out, while Oolong reminds him that it took years for them to get there. Puar is just thankful that Lunch helped them all get closer to see the match, making Lunch ask if she did anything bad at all?

A huge gong then goes off, making the announcer come out, thanking everyone for their patience, since the fights will soon begin! It is time, for the 22nd Tenkaichi Budoukai! Beforehand, the preliminary rounds came about, where 182 people meet and fought. However, only eight came now to the finals! These eight will compete, one by one, all to gain the championship of the Tenkaichi Budoukai, which is 500,000 zeni! Now, let the matches begin! For the first fight, they will hold a competition with great fighter Yamcha and other fighter, Tenshinhan! Bulma is excited to hear about Yamcha, as well as Puar. Yamcha and Tenshinhan both walk out, staring ferociously. Yamcha tells him that he will shut his mouth up now, making Tenshinhan ask how he can do that? The announcer gives some background information, saying that the first person he will talk about, is Yamcha. He came to the last Budoukai, only to come out short in the first of the finals. However, after training three years with Muton Roshi, he seems confident to win! He is one of three people under Muton Roshi's wing to come to the finals, out of eight in the finals!

Next, is Tenshinhan, Tsurusennin's disciple, whose master happens to be rivals with Kamesennin. These two will prove which master trained them the hardest and the toughest, all for the championship! Tsurusennin and Jackie both say at the same time that their disciple will win! A watchperson in the crowd is impressed, hearing that both Kamesennin's and Tsurusennin's students are going to fight. Puar yells out for Yamcha to win, making Yamcha say to Tenshinhan that he will purely win! Tenshinhan tells him that this is where he loses, making Yamcha say that he had better watch himself!
