DBZ Uncensored Website Review
Site
Name: Dragonball Z
Uncensored
Layout
- 6/10
Very
basic use of images and colours which doesn't exactly provide an
interesting view, but rather a slightly dull one. Also the loading
time is less than perfect, although not too bad. The format is
different to most as well, with links on the right rather than left,
and this works well enough, using a small button-like image for each
link. It isn't bad, but hardly anything breathtaking either, merely
average.
Content
- 8/10
This
site is perfect if you want to know about uncut DBZ, and the
butchering done to it by the producers of the dubs. It has a
comprehensive guide which even includes images, so it is unlikely that
you'll ever be left doubtful about whether or not something was in the
original episode. Also it gives you a good insight to what Japanese
DBZ is like, and tries to give reasons that things were cut out with
most of them being very intelligent views. His editorials are also
brilliant and worthy of a read.
Updates
- 4/10
I
haven't seen many updates on this site. Correct me if I'm wrong, but
this is just one of those rarely added to parts of the DBZ community
although this is fairly understandable as the webmaster has pretty
much everything he can get out of the aspect that he's covering. When
they do come though, the updates are fairly lengthy, which makes it
worth checking back there occasionally just to see if there has been
any additions..
Multimedia
- 2/10
The
only multimedia that I was able to find on this information-driven
site was that of the screenshots from the original DBZ and the dub. Of
course there are a fair few of these, and it's probably the largest
collection of uncensored pictures of the internet, but it won't
satisfy anyone's needs if they're looking for a site full of movie
clips and wallpapers.
Originality
- 9/10
How
many sites are dedicated to writing about the outtakes and differences
between Japanese and American DBZ? This is definitely a very
innovative site which offers a lot of stuff that no one else does. It
contains very little of the basic information, but everything on there
will be an interesting, and educational read for most people.
Overall
- 8/10
A
great DBZ site, this has everything you could ever want to know about
the changes made to the dub. You've probably heard about a lot of
people complaining about FUNimations butchering and stuff like that,
so go here to see how accurate they were. If the webmaster could
employ a new staff member to make multimedia, or at least made more
frequent updates, then this could possibly surpass even Planet Namek
in terms of quality.
