Bardock
- The Father Of Goku
A small room
is holding five occupants - Four Saibamen, and one kid. The little, green,
giggling, moronic Saibamen charge at the kid, but not one of them makes a hit. A
soldier is looking on disbelievingly, not knowing how he dodged all of the
attacks. A large Saiyan stands in the corner, smiling confidently. He looks
familiar, and has black hair and a moustache. The kid waits for all four of the Saibamen
to jump at him, then he blast them all with one, efficient shot. They are all
sent into the wall. The kid swirls his tail around cockily, signaling that he is
a Saiyan. He then finishes off all the Saibamen with one simple blast, as the
soldier looks on, watching the screen disbelievingly. The larger Saiyan smirks,
and asks what else he expected from the great….Vegeta. The soldier worries
what he will grow into, but the large Saiyan just smirks. Vegeta orders that the
door be opened so he can get out now, and the soldier obliges, hoping not to get
beat up. The large Saiyan hails Vegeta with praise when he comes out of the
room, but Vegeta just tells him not to flatter him in an arrogant way. The two Saiyans
start their journey to Frieza, going on a conveyer belt. Vegeta tells the large Saiyan
that he is going to ask to go to one of the planets so that he can conquer them,
but the large Saiyan asks why he wants to go again, in an objecting manor.
Vegeta asks if that is a problem in a very assertive way, and the large Saiyan
replies with a worried no, as if he is scared of the kid.
Zarbon
reports to Frieza that the planet Kanassa has been occupied a month ahead of
schedule. Dodoria remarks on the Saiyans prowess, complimenting them on their
hard-working attitude. Zarbon frets over the facts that they could become quite
dangerous if a group of the stronger ones rebel. They may not be too powerful by
themselves, but in a group they are near invincible. Dodoria remarks how strong
Vegeta is for a kid, and tells Frieza how well his adopted son his doing. Just
then, the door bursts open. In walks Vegeta, but he is quickly intercepted by
Zarbon and Dodoria, who tell him that he is not allowed here unless summoned.
The young Saiyan is not intimidated though, and tells them that he is to tell
Frieza that he is going to leave for the next planet. Zarbon tells him that he
will go to the planet that he has been assigned to, and like it, but Frieza
butts in. He tells Vegeta to go, and do a good job. Vegeta thanks Frieza, and
leaves, leaving Zarbon and Dodoria shocked at their masters kindness towards the
kid.
In a
rejuvenation tank floats Bardock, as the scientists speak of his remarkable
ability to heal so quickly. They note that his power level must be nearing
10,000 by now, as he comes back from every mission half dead. Bardock's Saiyan
friends come to see him, and the scientist tells them that physically Bardock is
fine, but his brainwave patterns have changed slightly. Deciding that it may be
a bit of a risk to take him on their next mission, the Saiyans decide to leave
without him, going to the planet Meet. The Saiyan pods fly off, rapidly
approaching their destination, as Bardock starts to have a flashback. He thinks
about his son – Kakarotto, and then starts to see something that he has never
seen before in his dreams. He sees a Saiyan pod heading for a planet that is
about three-quarters water, and crashing down. He sees a kid, who must be his
son – Goku. This kid is attacking an old man, biting his finger, and jumping
around. Bardock then starts to see
a little more into the future, this time with the words of the alien droning
through his mind. “I have given you the power to see into the future. I can
tell you now that you have a cursed future…..”. He sees Goku battling
members of the Red Ribbon army, and defeating them. He sees his son befriending
a small, bald headed kid, and a young teenage girl. He sees his son and the bald
kid marching around, being trained by an old man. He then goes into his last
vision of his session in the rejuvenator tank – Goku facing Piccolo, and
getting pounded by him. the water from the tank is then trained, as the
scientists notice Bardock's brain pattern going mad, and the Saiyan opens his
eyes. He staggers out of the tank, and claims to feel a little dizzy. He gets
dressed, and tells the scientists of his strange dream. He thinks nothing of it
though, and after being informed that his friends are on the planet Meet, he
runs down the corridor, grabbing a scouter on the way. He stops halfway along
though, and looks at his son, in his pod, ready to be blasted off down to Earth.
Those words drone on in his mind….“Suffer from seeing your future”.
Bardock goes into a trans, and sees his home planet being blown up by an energy
beam, from an unknown source. He is blinded by the light given off from it, and
wipes his eyes so that he can focus once again. He stares at his son for a
while, repeated his name – Kakarotto – over and over again. He takes his
power reading, and it measures up at a feeble 2, which is very low for a Saiyan
child. Bardock curses, and heads off back down the corridor. Goku remains in his
pod, screaming for someone to come and attend to him.
On the
planet Meet, Bardock's Saiyan friends seem to have met some tough opposition.
The slightly wide member of the squad (The one who was in the room and spirit
and time) has blood streaming down his face as he charges in. He gets to his
target, but is knocked straight back down. One of the other Saiyans struggles to
look up, and asks why they are doing this. They all laugh at the helpless Saiyans.
The attackers are wearing the familiar armour given to Frieza’s troops. A
large, fat, pink creature pushes through the pack. It is none other than
Dodoria. He commends the Saiyans on their persistence. Dodoria picks up one of
the four Saiyans, and the Saiyan asks Dodoria why they are doing this, desperate
to know. Dodoria informs him that it is by Frieza's order, and that the
worthless Saiyans must have done something to upset their great master. Dodoria
then punches the helpless Saiyan, knocking him soaring through the sky, and
landing with a great thud.
Bardock
lands on Meet, and looks around. He sees the soldiers of the planets defenses
scattered around helplessly on the floor. He notes that his friends must have
easily stormed through the comparatively weak opposition. His scouter blinks,
and he sees the power level, thinking that it is that of his friends. He quickly
flies off to join them.
Bardock
lands on the battle fields, and is horrified as he sees all of his fallen
comrades, helplessly lying on the floor in a bloody mess. Someone calls out
Bardocks name, and he runs over to the source of the voice. It is his dearest,
and oldest friend – Toma. Bardock demands to know who did this, and at first
thinks it was the soldiers of Meet. Toma corrects him though, and says that it
was by Frieza's orders. He tells Bardock to gather the Saiyans, and tell them
that they have all been betrayed, leading the whole army to kill Frieza for him.
Toma then collapses unconscious, and his life rapidly fades away until he
eventually dies a tragic death, after being stabbed in the back by his employer.
He looks around, and sees his other Saiyan friends on the floor, in puddles of
their own blood. He takes Toma’s blood soaked Bandana, and grasps it tightly
in his hand. The blood slowly immerses the bandana, until it covers it
completely, making it a dreary red. Bardocks scouter blinks a little, and he
turns to see Frieza’s soldiers laughing at him, telling him that it is now his
turn to die. Overcome with anger and grief, Bardock takes Toma’s blood soaked
bandana, and ties it round his forehead, ready to do battle. The soldiers
attempt to intimidate Bardock, but to no avail. He looks up at them with no
emotion what so ever on his face. His heart is full of anger and hatred, but his
face shows none of it. Bardock lets out a roar of rage, and goes charging in
towards his opponents. He gets to them, and they all blasts him, taking off into
the air so that they don’t get caught in their own explosion. A soldier with a
rather pointy head, kind of like Frieza’s third form, fires a beam down
towards Bardock, causing a blinding explosion, making him smirk confidently,
thinking that it is all over. His scouter blinks, and in less than half of a
second, Bardock is above him, and he utilizes a double axe handle smash to break
through the soldiers armour, and sends him down to the ground. Bardock floats in
the air, surrounded by the three remaining soldiers. They all stare him down,
trying to make some fear stir in his heart, but it is now non-existent. The
leader of the soldiers fires a devastating blast at Bardock, which seemingly
connects. Smoke pours through the air, shielding the soldiers eyes from Bardock.
They desperately search for him but to no avail. The saiyan bursts through the
smoke, and grabs one of the lesser soldiers by the neck, and starts to choke him
out. The leader of the soldiers can see a silhouette in the smoke, and chuckles
to himself, thinking that Bardock has been careless. The lead soldier fires a
powerful blast at the silhouette, making an epic explosion. He laughs until he
sees that the silhouette was not Bardock, but the soldier than Bardock had been
strangling, as it dive bombs to the ground and an increasing pace, with flames
seaming from his body. The smoke clears, and Bardock is standing with an
emotionless look on his face. The look turns into a half-smirk, as he watches
the two remaining soldiers panic. They can’t believe that such a low level
saiyan can be doing this to their team. They both charge in at Bardock, and the
saiyan does the same thing to them. Before they collide in the middle though,
Bardock has a vision. He sees Goku flying through ther air using his kai-o-kan
attack. This distracted him enough to allow the lead soldier to knee him in the
face. Bardock falls back, and is caught by the other soldier, who holds him in a
full nelson, not allowing him to move. The leader of the soldiers rushes in, and
starts to pound Bardock in the stomach, cracking his armour. Bardocks visions
continue, as he sees into the future a little further, with Vegeta taunting Goku
who can’t get a punch in. Bardock curses as he can’t focus don the battle,
and is getting punched rapidly across the face. He is getting destroyed by the
duo of soldiers, as they cause even more pain to him. The lead soldier is ready
to finish it, so he draws his fist back, and lunges in. Bardock manages to flip
around, causing the soldier that was holding him to be in the line of the lead
soldiers punch. The lesser soldier has a fist through his armour, and releases
his grip on Bardock as he cough up blood. The saiyan spins through the air, and
when he regains his balance, he fires a devastating blast at the last remaining
soldier – The leader of the squad. A blinding light fills the sky, and when
Bardock is sure that the soldier is dead, he comes to a rest, landing on the
floor as blood pours from every orifice of his body. His scouter blinks once
more, and he jerks round to see who it is. A pink mass of blubber confronts him.
It is Dodoria! He laughs as Bardock demands to know why the saiyans are being
targeted, but he does not think that he deserves an answer, so he shoots a beam
from out of his mouth at Bardock, immersing him in a devastating amount a pure
energy. The dead bodies from around the battlefield are scattered through the
air, due to the intense power of the blast. Bardock tries to hang on, but the
raw power of the blast is too much for him, and sends him soaring backwards.
A crater has
been made from Dodoria’s mammoth blast, and there is no sign of the saiyan.
Dodoria is a little disappointed as he had hoped to toy with Bardock for a
little longer. He gets a message on his scouter telling him that Frieza is on
his way to the planet Vegeta, so he should return to base immediately. Dodoria
takes off, leaving the dead bodies of saiyans to rest in peace in a place where
they would have liked to die most – On the battlefield. There seems to be no
life coming from the crater, until the top saiyan on a pile of the five of them
is pushed away. Then another saiyan is moved. Bardock crawls out of this mess,
and looks around, not wanting to believe what he thinks that Frieza is going to
do. He looks at his deceased friends, and bids them a final fair well as he goes
to attempt to rid the world of Frieza. He is now covered in blood, and is hurt
extremely badly. He doesn’t show this though, and doesn’t even bother to
wipe the blood away.
In a docking
bay on Frieza’s ship, a scientist says that they will send a pod to Earth.
This pod contains a boy named Kakarotto, the son of a low class soldier called
Bardock. Kakarotto (Or Goku as we know him) is silent now, and he sits quietly
in his pod, curiously gazing around at his surroundings.
Dodoria
reports to Frieza, telling him that the job is done. Zarbon doesn’t look too
happy, as he curses Dodoria for his stupidity. When the pink mass of fat asks
what is wrong, Zarbon points to a screen, where a saiyan pod is soaring
gracefully through space. Dodoria can’t believe that Bardock survived the
blast, and he promises Frieza that he will dispose of the saiyan as soon as he
can. Frieza tells him not to bother, as he’s heading for the planet Vegeta
anyway. Zarbon says that it will get the same result either way. Frieza tells
them to prepare for some incredible fireworks, as he will be producing them
tonight.
