Summary:
Let the Training Begin!!
Once everyone came outside, Kame House, Kamesennin shrunk it back to its capsule
size. Goku wondered how they were going to go, since he wouldn't have enough
room on his cloud. Kamesennin told him that he has a boat, so they all climbed
in, and rode off. Along the way, Kamesennin told Lunch, if she wouldn't mind, to
not sneeze. Soon enough, they all reached the larger island, where Goku and
Krillin would increase their strength several times. Goku then flies up, while
Kamesennin tells him to come down, telling him to start a quick training lesson.
Kamesennin yells at him again, asking what he's looking for. Goku tells
Kamesennin that there are more houses, allowing Kamesennin to explain him that
about 300 people live here. Goku starts to get excited for the training, but
before they start, Kamesennin lets Lunch do whatever she wants. Lunch offers to
make them dinner, but starts up a sneeze, making Kamesennin, Goku, and Krillin
fear for their safety. They all run away, behind a rock, until Lunch finishes
her sneeze, with a yawn. She tells them she's really sleepy, making Kamesennin
get angry at his pupils to get angry over a yawn. Now, the training starts.
Kamesennin asks Krillin if he has any clue about martial arts, making Krillin
excited to report that he's studied for eight years. Kamesennin is relieved to
know that they both the fundamentals, and confesses that it is one hundred
meters from the boulder to the tree. He then asks how many seconds will it take
for them to get there?
Kamesennin also goes on to say that being a fast runner doesn't make you a good
martial artist, but it is good to have strong legs. Krillin boasts about him
going first, since he could go to the Olympics if he wanted. Kamesennin goes
over to the tree and tells Krillin to start. Krillin runs past Kamesennin,
making the first time of 10.4 seconds. Krillin goes on to say that his best is
10.1, so it's pretty good. Goku steps up and starts to run. Along the run, Goku
notices something about his feet. Krillin is amazed about his speed, but is only
11 seconds flat. Kamesennin is impressed, but not as quick as Krillin. Goku asks
if he can try again and get some new shoes? Krillin tells him to not blame the
race over his shoes, exposing his shoes as not runners shoes. Goku then fights
back that his shoes are broken. His points down, showing that the front of his
shoes are torn open, exposing his toes. After getting some new shoes, Goku
starts to get excited, but making Krillin nervous. Kamesennin tells him he can
go, and Goku races off. He runs past them, with great speed, making a time of
8.5. Goku asks if that's fast, making Krillin dumbfounded about his training.
Kamesennin tells them both that they are great runners, but within human limit.
The only way to become a great martial artist, is to break the wall of human
nature. Kamesennin asks Krillin if he can clock him for him, making Krillin
wonder for his master's health. Kamesennin goes to the boulder, asking if
they're ready. Krillin then lets the cannon of Kamesennin loose, making him blow
past them with great speed. Kamesennin asks how fast he did, making Krillin
spout out 5.6. Kamesennin tells them that he's not that bad. Kamesennin explains
that that is breaking the human wall, and with their age and soon taught
discipline, they could break five seconds. Kamesennin tells them now that he's
thirsty, and asks Goku if he could get him a beer. Goku asks what that is, until
Krillin offers to get one. Kamesennin goes on to say, that martial artists are
also vast in knowledge, so... they'll work on that. Krillin runs in the house,
asking Lunch for a beer for Kamesennin. Lunch happily gives him one, until she
sneezes. Kamesennin knows that that isn't a yawn. Krillin runs out, with Lunch
chasing him with a knife, telling him to get his hands off her beer. Kamesennin
tells Goku that Krillin is now reaching the wall of humanity.
