Are You Single? Find Love
Movie
1: Return My Gohan
Once again,
we are back at the Kami vs. Garlic Jr fight, but it seems that the energy burst
the Namek got wasn’t sufficient to save him. He is leaning against a pillar,
breathing hard, and heavily. Garlic Jr taunts him, and he manages to get up,
proving his enemy wrong. Garlic Jr pulls Kami down to his size (And that’s
very low) to hear what he is saying. Kami says that he is the guardian of the
planet, and that he wont let Garlic Jr get away with it, he will stop him, etc,
etc, etc. He then wraps his arms round Garlic, and small bolts of lightning
begin to come down on them. Garlic Jr finds the fact that Kami is going to blow
himself up thoroughly amusing, as he knows that he will live through it, being
immortal and all! “You can die, but I won’t!” Garlic Jr says to Kami.
“When Im finished with you, your gonna wish you had!” burst out Piccolo, who
had just entered the room. This make Kami stop the attempt to blow himself up,
and focus on what his evil twin is doing.
Piccolo
states that he knows how strong Garlic is, but of course, the confident Namek
still thinks he can beat him. He strides towards Garlic, then someone jumps down
next to him. It’s Goku! He has come to help! He issues the order to Krillen to
get Gohan out of the building. Krillen obediently does as his friends says.
Garlic is
obviously pleased that he is facing two of the strongest powers in the universe,
but like all villains, he makes the stupid mistake of underestimating them, and
expecting to win no problem. He can back it up though, as he starts to shout,
then undergoes a huge transformation, turning into a gigantic, black monster,
twice the size of Goku and Piccolo. He has incredible speed too, as he runs at
the two warriors, goes for a punch, it is blocked. He then stops, and hits them
both in the back, sending them staggering across the room, but they regain their
balance fairly quickly, and turn to face Garlic once more. The monster throws an
energy beam at them, but it is dodged, as the explosion made is comparatively
weak to the standards that the ‘good guys’ have been achieving throughout
the film. Piccolo advances on Garlic, and Goku does after consoling the injured
Kami.
Piccolo
starts to attack Garlic, but not even HIS speed is enough to get a shot in.
Garlic blocks every punch. The monster smiles as he catches Piccolo’s fist,
and starts to crush it. Goku arrives at this moment, back from comforting Kami,
and he has a go at beating Garlic Jr. He has as much success as Piccolo though,
not getting a single punch on target, but instead, having them all blocked.
Garlic charges up an energy ball in his hand, and throws it at the unsuspecting
Goku and Piccolo.
The ball of
energy roared at them, and went all the way through the room, and up the shafts
in the ceiling. There is an explosion which shakes the whole place, making some
of it crumble. Krillen is left having to try to dodge all of the falling blocks
of concrete, and trying to shield Gohan at the same time.
He is unable to outrun it though, as a pillar toppled, lands on his head,
and breaks in half, making Krillen fall to the floor unconscious, and making him
drop Gohan too. The little saiyan
falls onto a small mound of rubble, which is made into a bigger one by falling
blocks of concrete landing on top of him.
The picture
goes to Goku and Piccolo who somehow dodged the beam. Garlic dashes at Goku, and
picks him up by the head. He proceeds towards Piccolo, and grabs him by the head
too. Garlic runs towards a wall with the two warriors in either hand. Goku and
Piccolo’s efforts to escape from the monsters grasp are futile. They can’t
damage his stomach in any way, instead getting a laugh from it. Garlic bursts
through a wall to the outside, using Piccolo and Goku as shields. He sends them
through a stone bridge, then lands on top of them when they hit the floor.
Somehow, the warriors manage to jump back, escaping the grasp of Garlic who
would have squished them.
Garlic Jr
threatens Goku and Piccolo, telling them to just give up. They realize that he
is stronger than both of them combined, but they still fight on. They both
dispose of their weighted clothes, which puts their power levels up a little.
“I can’t believe we’re fighting on the same side!” Goku said to Piccolo.
The Namek replied by boosting morale no end “Don’t get too comfortable,
after this guy, you’re next.” That left Goku stunned for a second, as
Piccolo charged in at Garlic. The saiyan regained his concentration though, and
quickly caught up with Piccolo.
The fight
that ensues it riotous. No one can hit their opponent, as they keep using their
speed to disappear before getting hit. The first one to score a hit is Goku, who
hits Garlic in he jaw with a kick, after seemingly kicking at air, revealing
that Garlic was there. Goku and Piccolo then start putting everything they have
into attacking, managing to get on a good offensive with a series of punches,
knocking back Garlic as he tries to defend. They then both push Garlic at the
end of a punch, and send him a long way across the floor, before wrapping him up
with a double ki blast, which sends him the rest of the distance to a wall, and
causes the biggest explosion of the movie so far, making the whole screen go
white, then showing smoke pouring from what has been reduced to rubble. The
palace the starts to collapse because of the impact. Goku and Piccolo, who are
breathing heavily, start to celebrate. “We won!” stated Goku excitedly. Had
they though? It appeared so.
Kami appears
and slowly strides towards the two fighters. He tries to tell Piccolo something,
but he brushes off the eldest Namek of Earth, then turns to Goku. He does what
he says he would do, and attacks. The two start to fight, but as they
relentlessly throw punch after punch, a hand comes from out of the rubble. Then
a whole body, that of a huge monster! Garlic Jr isn’t dead! He is immortal,
and just proved it! He starts to charge up an attack, which starts off as a
small vortex in the sky. It gets bigger, and bigger, as it extends to the width,
and length of the sky. It is swirling like a whirlpool, and sucking everything
in. Garlic Jr is planted firmly on the ground though, and he is laughing
hysterically. A bridge where Goku and Piccolo are fighting collapse because of
the vortex’s force.
Piccolo is
sucked in, and goes shooting towards the attack, which is named ‘the dead
zone’. Goku, being the good guy, and having to do everything that is good and
just, grabs Piccolo’s foot, stopping him from being pulled in any more.
The
unconscious Krillen is slowly being pulled in across the ground, but he regains
awareness, and manages to grab hold of a pointy rock as he takes flight towards
the hole. Of course, being the weakest person there, he starts whimpering as he
struggles to keep hold of the rock. All Krillen can do is hope that Gohan
didn’t get sucked into the vortex, because if he did, then Chi-Chi will kill
him (Should he survive). Goku becomes aware of his son being missing, and shouts
out his name, in an attempt to locate him.
Stone
structures start to collapse around Garlic, and are pulled into his swirling
vortex. Piccolo is enraged now, and
tells Garlic that he will kill him. He loses his grip, and is pulled towards the
vortex, only just managing to grab hold of a pillar right next to the ‘dead
zone’. Goku’s structure collapse, which means he has nothing to hold onto.
After going through most of the pillars, the saiyan barely manages to grasp hold
of the last one, parallel with Piccolo’s. Krillen is hit on the head by a
rock, but when he lifts up his hands to cover his head from any other incoming
rocks, he is sucked away from the rock he had hold of. Krillen becomes the third
person to barely manage to grab hold of a pillar before getting sucked in. Kami
is wrapped round a rock on the ground, trying hard not to be pulled in.
Crying is
heard from underneath a pile of rocks. It’s amazing that they haven’t been
sucked in yet. Realizing who it is, Goku yells his sons name. Garlic Jr looks
across to the rocks with a puzzled look on his face. The rocks bursts away,
towards the vortex, but there is no way they could have been pulled in all at
once, that quickly. Gohan is seen, growling with anger, his eyes full of hatred.
For some reason, he is managing to stay standing, and not getting sucked in like
the others. Huge rocks fly by, but Gohan stands his ground. Garlic is
awe-stricken. He doesn’t know how Gohan can stand up to his most powerful
attack. Gohan growls some more, and Garlic Jr comments on how strong he must be.
He decides to use all his power on the vortex, managing to blow Gohan towards it
slightly, but the half-saiyan adjusts, and stands his ground once again.
Goku is
losing his grip by now, and we have to assume that everyone else is too. Garlic
puts everything he has into the vortex, but Gohan stands there, then powers up,
covered in a blue aura of energy. Goku, Piccolo, Krillen and Kami all lose their
grip at the same time, and fall towards the vortex. Goku shouts his sons name
once more, and it energies Gohan further. He turns into a blue blur, ten times
the size of anything people of this power level have ever seen, and he flies
into Garlic, knocking him into his own vortex, with it stopping just before Goku
and friends get there. Garlic Jr tells everyone that they can’t kill him, what
with him being immortal and all, then he disappears into his own dead zone.
Everything falls to the ground, making a huge amount of noise upon impact. Gohan
looks up, the collapses, after using up all his energy in that attack. The sky
turns a blinding white, then its black. After only a few seconds, the air is
back, and just as good as ever, with chirping birds, white, fluffy clouds, and a
deep blue sky.
The wrecked
battleground is shown, and there seems to be no sign of life. Then we see
Krillen and Kami, both are fine. When the bald headed human asks the Namek what
happened to Garlic Jr, he replied with a better explanation that I could give.
“He fell into the hell that he created, and will live forever there, and I
assure you now he wishes he wasn’t granted eternal life.”
Victorious
music plays, and you can’t help but smile, knowing that the good guys have
won. “How strange that Garlic Jr suffered the same fate that his father did”
commented Kami.
The music
continues, and we see Gohan in his fathers arms. The kid starts to stir, and
then says the strangest thing. “Daddy, I knew you’d come to rescue me!”
Goku looks puzzled, then puts Gohan down. “Don’t you remember anything?”
Gohan responded with “I remember that my Daddies the greatest fighter in the
whole world!”
Everyone
laughs with happiness, as Goku grabs his pole, and flips it onto his back.
Everyone walks into the sunset…. except Piccolo. He seems to have vanished. We
then see him standing on a rock, looking down at Goku, and watching him walk
away, and says, proving that he’s not that bad “It looks like I’m gonna
have to finish you off another time Goku.”
We then see
Gohan and Goku chugging along on the nimbus, with the kid holding tightly to his
dads trousers. Goku thinks about telling Chi-Chi, but he decides that it would
be best if he didn’t.
The picture
pans down as father and son come past, and goes to the bottom of the sea, where
the vortex is, folded up neatly in a rectangular shape, with a devil look-a-like
banging on it’s sides. It doesn’t look like Garlic Jr will ever get out!
The credits
roll on, and the first Dragon Ball Z movie has come to an end (I know there are
a few that come before this one, but this is the first ‘Z’ one)
