Episode 1: Lime Enters! A Man-Only Planet
Late again, Otaru Mamiya has just enough time to ogle his landlord's newest marionette and wish he could afford one as well. While out selling his wares, he runs into his old rival - the incredibly wealthy and spoilt Hanagata with his groupies. While showing off his newest roadster, Hanagata causes Otaru to spill his fish. Now mad, Otaru challenges Hanagata and his groupies to a fight on the bridge. Good thing Otaru is an accomplished karate fighter. However, a misplaced footing and he falls into the river. When he washes up, he ends up at the Japoness Pioneer Museum and finds something that has been locked up for many years.
Episode 2: Trouble-making Marionette Girl
Lime is not your typical marionette as Hanagata finds out! In addition, the residents of Otaru's apartment block thinks she is defective and try to do away with her.
Episode 3: Major Unrest in Japoness City
It is a wonderful day to go see the festivities at Castle Japoness. So off go Otaru and Lime with Hanagata following in the process. Episode 4: Cherry Panic, Romace War
Cherry has come to live in Otaru's small apartment. But Cherry is very different from Lime's childish mentality. It is her hope that Otaru and her will share a passionate kiss sometime and she dreams about that all the time! On her way home from the market, a gang of bullies picks on Cherry to alleviate her baggage. But Cherry has something else in mind... a plan that will make Otaru her hero!
Episode 5: Faust Challenege
The leader of Gartlant has made his intentions clear that he wants to conquer more of Terra II. Now Japoness is up at arms if he will attack them next. But Faust has other ideas as he learns Japoness has Saber Marionettes like the three he has. Their new mission, take out the Shogun.
Episode 6: Most Unwelcome! Flying Love Attack
Now Otaru has three Saber dolls living with him: Lime, Cherry and Bloodberry. Bloodberry's wishes are to marry Otaru and do what married couples do; she will also do whatever Otaru wants. During a dazed encounter, Otaru mentions he wants to fly. Bloodberry does everything she can to make Otaru's wish come true; however, there is a reason there are no planes on Terra II.
Episode 7: Getting Rich Quick Makes A Happy Day
Living with three marionettes (who evidently eat, unlike the other marionettes) is expensive, especially for an unemployed person like Otaru. With his last coin, Otaru sends Lime out to buy some noodles but she comes back instead with a lottery ticket!
Episode 8: Love Fortune Telling Battle Royal
Otaru has the entire group help him out by working in a horror house. At least the Saber Dolls are enjoying their roles as spooky ghosts. Suddenly, a group of marionette collectors kidnap Lime. Grabbing the wrong one, they tell Otaru to bring Cherry or something bad will happen to Lime.
Episode 9: Gartlant! There's Nothing to Fear if We All Go Together
Japoness is next on Gartlant's conquering list. However, the Shogun has a plan - Otaru and the Saber Dolls will go incognito to Gartlant and take out their main computer, rendering their military forces useless. But war is a foreign concept to Otaru and the Saber Dolls who prefer more passive roles. Faust, on the other hand, is ready for their attack as they make their way to Gartlant.
Episode 10: Infiltrate! The Black Kingdom
It seems Gartlant is very different from Japoness. The citizens of Gartlant live under Faust's iron rule as soldiers walk the streets keeping the citizens in line for the food trucks giving out skimpy portions. Faust's Saber Dolls have found them again. Will they be able to reach their objective?
Episode 11: Great Victory Of The Maiden Circuit
Not everyone in Gartlant supports Faust's cause. A small rebel group has arisen and is now helping Otaru and the group fight Faust. But all they have to offer is some outdated bombs. With their objective in sight, the group sets off again. Who though Hanagata would actually come in useful?
Episode 12: My First Kiss Taste Like Plasma
Lime, Cherry and Bloodberry are really jealous because Otaru had to kiss Tiger to prevent her from interfacing with the main computer. However, the Saber Dolls fall ill just as a major plasma storm is heading their way.
Episode 13: Otaru's Debut! Now Is The Time For You To Shine
Otaru has returned to Japoness a hero! An instant celebrity overnight. Now called the Savior of Japoness, celebrity status has blinded Otaru as he makes appearance after appearance on all the top shows. However, the Saber Dolls feel he does not need them anymore since he never spends time with them so they leave.
Episode 14: Spring Welcome! The Otaru Cup Marionette Contest
Faust wants to know why Otaru's marionettes are 'evolving' better than Tiger, Luchs or Panta. He sends his Saber Dolls out to win over Otaru. What a better way to win him over than winning the Marionette Contest to see which nation has the best marionette?
Episode 15: Resurection Of The Female! The Mystery Of Lorelei
A special day, Otaru decides to have a sukiyaki (a type of noodle) feast so he sends the marionettes out to buy the ingredients. However, as they walk home, they see a puppy about to be run over. Instead of saving it, they decide the sukiyaki is more important. Furious with them, Otaru searches out the meaning to their existence by going back to the museum. While there, he meets the Shogun who explains why the marionettes are different. However, a bomb is set off in the museum, trapping them.

One of Faust's weapons, a giant plasma sphere, attacks Japoness. With the loss of the Shogun, it is up to Otaru and his marionettes to repel the invasion. However, the Shogun has one last weapon left and it is a doozy!
Episode 19: Tiger, To Die For Love.....
Furious with the repeated failure of his Saber Dolls, Faust banishes them from Gartlant, only to return if they return with Otaru's marionette maiden chips. Their purpose in life is to be with the one they love, therefore, this is a blow to them. However, Tiger is determined not to let Faust down.
Episode 20: Feelings Will Not Die, Though The Heart Is Far Away
With the death of Tiger, Lime begins to question her existence. Unable to control her feelings anymore, she runs away from home. However, Faust has a secret agent in Japoness and it is someone who Otaru knows. When Otaru finds Lime back at the museum, she is just a marionette.
Episode 21: Barbeque Picnic Of Light And Darkness
Otaru's neighbors throw a barbecue to celebrate Lime's return. But in all the confusion, they forgot to bring plates! Otaru goes off to a nearby pottery down the river to borrow some plates.
