Bardock - The Father Of Goku

Bardock is sitting in the HUD of his spaceship, and he is looking ion a bad way. His clothes are torn, and he is a mass of blood and bruises. He sees Frieza’s spaceship, and suspiciously eyes it as he flies past. As Bardock approaches the planet Vegeta, he sees another pod go past him. In this pod is a crying, slightly chubby baby, who he realizes is his son – Kakarotto (Goku).     

On the planet of Vegeta, a Saiyan pod hits the landing mat, and bounces a little before coming to a rest. The door slides open, and a familiar figure staggers out. It’s Bardock! He leans against the side of the pod, trying to recover from the beating that he received. His armour has been destroyed to the point that it has been rendered useless, and the exposed spots, which would usually be protected by armour, have been rendered vulnerable, and are dripping with blood. He breathes hard as he thinks about what he will do next. He is greeted by the landing committee, who inform him that he is too late, as they have just launched his son to a blue planet in the solar system called Earth. Bardock remembers having a vision of this, then confirms to himself that he really has been looking into the future. He delves into the depths of his mind to try and remember what else he has seen. Then it hits him. The planet of the saiyans is going to be blown up! He staggers away, along a corridor, with a distinct limp to his walk. The landing committee wonder how he suffered such wounds, seeing as he only went to the planet Meet. The soldiers who greeted him ask if he’s all right in a caring way, but they get no response. One of them looks inside his pod to see that his seat has been plastered with blood, and tells his fellow soldier than Bardock is far from being all right.     

Bardock struggles to stand as he advances through the corridor, being supported only be the wall, which he is heavily leaning on. He gets to a small flight of stairs, but doesn’t have the energy to get down them, so he ends up stumbling down, and landing on his face. He appears to have been knocked out, as he can’t move a muscle. He trembles a little, and then starts seeing into the future once again. Those words drone through his head “I have given you the power to see into the future…..I can tell you know that you have a cursed future”. It goes on and on. Constantly playing back in his head. He sees his son taking on Piccolo and Piccolo Daimou. He sees the planet Vegeta being destroyed, then he sees a face laughing as the explosion takes place……..it’s Frieza! Suddenly, Bardock’s eyes flick open, and he summons up all of his energy to get to his feet. He is breathing hard, and his blood continues to drip slowly onto the floor. He leans against the wall, and continues to use it to support him, as he resumes staggering down the corridor.  He curses, saying that he won’t let Frieza do this, as he continues on his way to his fellow Saiyans, to warn them of what is to come.

In a busy dining room, the majority of the planets inhabitants are eating. The doors burst open, and in staggers Bardock. He collapses on the floor, immediately grabbing everyone’s attention. He pulls out the remainder of his energy to get up. He tells everyone to come with him to kill Frieza, as he is about to blow up the planet, but the Saiyans respond with hysteric laughter. Bardock is angered by this, and shouts at them all, calling them damned idiots. They are silenced by this outburst, and don’t start talking again until he has gone, claiming that he can kill Frieza by himself.

Bardock begins to sprint up the stairs, reaching the top. He stares into the air, but something catches his attention to the corner of his eye. He sees adult Goku standing on the edge of the building. He wonders towards him, with his hand held out, calling to his son. Goku turns round, and his face and body morphs into that of Frieza’s. Bardock looks on in fear as he is surrounded in a red beam, that kills him outright.

Bardock is bending over, panting hard on the stares. His eyes are shut, but when he opens them, he realizes that he is all right. Knowing that it may have been a vision into the future unless he hurries up, Bardock increases the speed up the stairs. It was only a dream, he can change the future, he can stop Frieza. Bardock reaches the top of the building for real this time, and he looks around, spotting Frieza’s ship. He uses the ledge of the building to catapult him into the air, as he charges at the ship, promising to himself that he will change the future.

In space, Frieza is preparing to destroy the Saiyans planet. A guard bursts into the room, looking worried. Meanwhile, Bardock is flying through space, locked onto Frieza’s ship, and ready to do some damage. The ship starts to leak soldiers though, as they all burst out to attack him. Bardock ignores these though, and continues on his way. A group of about 10 of Frieza’s soldiers fire a combined blast at Bardock, but the Saiyan simply shrugs it off, and continues to charge at the ship. He dodges beams and punches, delivering some of his own. In the end, everyone just jumps on him, but they still can’t stop him, as he uses an energy blast to break out, and continues on. He knocks everyone out of his way as if they are low-level soldiers, quickly advancing on Frieza.

Inside the ship, Frieza tells Zarbon to open the hatch. Zarbon doesn’t want to at first, because all the soldiers are out there still, but when Frieza is about to turn round, the henchman decides it would be best to obey orders. Frieza is looking very angry at this measly Saiyans progress, as he defeats some of the finest soldiers in the land without any trouble. Another big group have attached themselves to him now, with one choking him out. Bardock looks towards the ship, and yells out his enemies name “Frieza!” He then blasts everyone off him, and continues to advance. More soldiers grab hold of him though, and Bardock yells for Frieza to come out of the ship. The Saiyan tells the evil tyrant that he isn’t going to let him do this. Frieza comes out of the ship, and the soldiers let go of Bardock, cowering in fear of their master. Bardock smiles confidently, as he tells Frieza that he will change everything in a heart warming speech. “The destiny of planet Vegeta……The destiny of myself…..Kakarotto’s destiny….and your destiny!”. Bardock then forms a huge ball of energy on his hand, and throws it towards Frieza. The energy ball is about as big as half of Frieza’s ship, and it advances on him quickly. Frieza extends a finger, and starts to charge up a death ball rapidly. He laughs to himself as it grows n size, and becomes so big that it simply absorbs Bardock's beam. The ball becomes the approximate size of about three of Frieza’s ships. He then throws it by tilting his finger slightly, and it rapidly approaches the planet Vegeta, all of Frieza’s soldiers, and Bardock. The Saiyan looks on in horror as he realizes that the end is nigh. The ball immerses him, filling him with intense pain. As it advances, it rips his clothes to pieces, and slowly starts to eat away at him. Zarbon and Dodoria look on in horror, as all of those good soldiers have been mercilessly killed for no good reason. Bardock’s pain continues. HE screams out his sons name twice as loud as he can before he can fight the beam off no more. It destroys him, and sends him to a new dimension, finally finishing off the Saiyan legend, who must have managed to become far stronger than even Zarbon and Dodoria. The ball goes down to the planet Vegeta, and blows it up on impact, with Frieza laughing his head off, admiring the “Wonder fireworks” He laughs manically, as he has just killed some of the bravest, unsuspecting and defenseless men that the world has ever seen. Bardock’s voice rings through the sky, as Goku’s ship passes. “Kakarotto, avenge me, and your people, kill Frieza for us!”. The little baby seems to respond to this in his ship, as he continues to go towards Earth. A red bandana passes the pod, as it slowly swirls down. It is the blood soaked bandana of the great Bardock, Saiyan warrior, and the thorn in the diabolical Frieza’s side, although he still wasn’t enough to stop him.

Vegeta is sitting on a planet, eating over a roaring fire. He receives a message telling him that Frieza says a huge meteor hit the planet Vegeta, and wiped out almost all of the Saiyans, leaving only a couple of survivors. Vegeta doesn’t seem too bothered with the news, and just tells the messenger to tell Frieza to give him a tougher planet to occupy next time. Dead bodies surround Vegeta in their thousands, as he has killed all of them without remorse, and without much trouble.

On the planet Earth, a baby is screaming, and an old man picks him up, and wonders where he came from. Out of the old mans view is a Saiyan pod. The old man picks up the kid, and the kid swings at the old man. Thinking this was just the baby being lively, the old man decides that he will raise it. He notices that the baby has a tail, and thinks that the kid wont be able to survive by himself. The old man decides to call the baby Goku…Son Goku. He starts playing with him, and the baby laughs with joy. Thus starting the story of Dragonball….the legend. Son Goku…..his ongoing mission, although he doesn’t yet know it, will be to get revenge for his brave father, the one who’s name shall never be forgotten - Bardock
