Trunks Special

3 years later, Trunks has grown up a lot. His hair has taken that familiar style which is known worldwide by millions of fans, and he is wearing that capsule corp. jacket which he is so famous for. He gets home with the food shopping in his arms, and puts them down. A huge machine stands before him, and he gazes at it in awe, knowing that it is nearly finished. Bulma makes some of the final tweaks on it, and tells Trunks that it will be ready very soon, but takes 8 months to charge up, so he won’t have another chance, but it should be able to get there and back safely. It is capable of going back about 20 years. Trunks stops though, and tells Bulma that he thinks he is strong enough to beat the androids now, without going back in time. She tells him not to be stupid, but then a newsflash comes in on the radio. Bridge Town is being attacked. Bulma realizes that that is not far from where they are, and so too does Trunks. He runs out of the house, grabbing his sword and pouch, and draping them over his back. He then flies off, determined that he can beat him this time, although Bulma insists that he still isn’t much stronger than Gohan was when they killed him. Trunks powers up to super saiyan form, and is on his way to what could be the deciding battle for the fate of the Earth.

The two androids have just finished destroying Bridge Town, and are ready to go home when Trunks lands. He tells them that this time he will destroy them, for what they have done to Gohan was unacceptable. #18 tells him that he is sick of him always interfering, and charges towards him, ready to finish him off. She pelts him backwards, and he goes flying through a building. Trunks gets up though, and does some weird actions with his hands, and fires a blast towards the female android - #18. She dodges it though, and Trunks tries to hit her, but his punch is caught. She then hits him with her fist, and sends Trunks right back through another building. Irate at the fact that he is getting beaten so badly, Trunks charges up to full power, and gets his sword out. He lunges at #18 with it, and misses her head a few times, coming close on one occasion though, as he chopped off some of her strands of hair. He swings for her again, and she manages to get on top of the sword, standing on it to taunt him. #17 is getting bored of sitting back and watching, so he runs in. Trunks tries to stab him in the face with the sword, but #17 catches it between his fingers. He then holds out the palm of his hand to Trunks’ chest, as the teenager struggles to get his sword free. #17 blasts him backwards, with such a blast that would easily kill any normal man. The two androids then bombard Trunks with multiple energy beams, trying to finish him off. There is a blinding flash of light, but instead of being finished off, Trunks bursts through the beams, taking the androids by surprise. He hits #17 in the face, sending him flying, then he turns to #18, hits her in the gut, then hits her over towards where #17 is. He then floats into the air, and shoots a huge blast of energy at the two androids, as they can only watch it connect with them, causing an explosion which wipes out everything within a kilometers radius. Trunks smiles as the smoke starts to clear, thinking that the androids have finally been killed. A stone slab moves, and out comes #18 and #17. They compliment him on his fine power, but tell him that the way he attacks will wear him out fast, and his attacks are too easy to read. Angered by these comments, Trunks fires energy beams galore at the androids, in a futile effort to destroy them. The smoke clears, and the androids are standing there, in perfectly good nick. Trunks realizes that he hasn’t got enough energy left to do any serious damage, but #17 sticks up his middle finger at the young saiyan, making him shoot a load more energy beams at the two androids. The smoke clear, and no one is to be seen.

Trunks fears for his safety, and knows that the androids are hiding somewhere, a she backs off towards a wall. He scans the area, seeing nothing but rubble, and devastated buildings. He sees something moving in a bit of rubble, and prepares to attack it, but then #17 bursts through the wall behind him, and skillfully hits the teenager in the face with the back of his clenched fist. Trunks goes through the wall, and quickly recovers, hiding behind a wall, and breathing hard. #18 comment son the fact that he is out of breath, and Trunks looks to his side, seeing a shard of glass being poked around the corner, with the reflection of #18’s face in it. Trunks gasps, and there’s a huge explosion, causing Trunks to bounce away like a rag doll. He struggles to get to a sitting position, and is greeted by #17 when he finally does. He tells Trunks that the androids never run out of energy like he does, but instead their energy lasts forever. They are still in as good a shape as they were at the start of the fight. A hand comes onto Trunks’ shoulder, making him jerk round. It is that of #18’s. She asks #17 if they should just kill him now, because he has nothing left in him. Trunks looks helplessly towards #17, and is put through a building, signaling the decision. #18 checks him out, and signals to #17 that he is still alive. The male android blasts Trunks across the floor with a finger blast, causing him to fall into a small swimming pool. They turn to walk off, but they hear Trunks splashing as he pulls himself out of the water. The saiyan struggles to his feet, and his resilience is rewarded with another blast, that sends him across the pool, to the other side. He holds it off a little with his chest, but in the end collapse under the power of the beam. The androids float over to him, and lift up his head to see if he is dead. They are astounded when Trunks manages to talk. He asks them why they are doing this, and they tell him that they think that Dr Gero made them to conquer the world, but they are just doing what they are doing for fun, just looking at humans makes them want to kill them. Trunks is covered in blood, and is having a hard time staying conscious. He struggles up to his feet, and is so enraged by what the androids are saying that he charges at them with a last burst of energy. Unfortunately, he is too weak from the fight to do any damage with his punches, as the two androids don’t even attempt to block them, and just laughs in his face as he fails to so much as hurt them. #18 then sweeps his legs, but catches him before he hits the floor. She throws him into the air, smashes him into a building, hits him into the air as he falls, then catches him with a knee to the gut as he descends again, then hammers him down to the floor, with #17 rebounding him off a building by kicking him as he went down. #18 then finished it by smacking him right onto the floor, just in front of her friends feet. Trunks finally loses all energy, and goes from super saiyan back to his normal form. The two androids look down at him without even a small hint of remorse in their eyes. #17 stands on Trunks’ head, adding further wounds to his repertoire, then he charges up an attack, but #18 stops it, seemingly finally getting a visit from her conscience, but instead, she says that she wants to kill him herself. #18 mercilessly hits Trunks with a massive energy blast, from point blank range, causing a blinding white flash, which spans the whole town. 

In the Bulma’s house, a patient is hooked up to a bed, covered in bandages, and wounded badly. It’s Trunks! Somehow he survived the beating that he got! A fan revolves around the room, dishing out the air around the room. Trunks struggles to speak, and eventually opens his eyes to see Bulma. She gladly sees him, and tells him that he was out for days. Trunks admits that the androids were too strong for him. Bulma forgives him.

A short while later, Trunks is feeling much better, and is ready to go into the time machine. After saying bye to his mom, Trunks sets off, in an effort to save the world from these monsters, with Goku’s cure in his pocket, Trunks sets off to see if he can change history!
