Naruto Manga Review
Naruto is the story of a young teenage orphan trouble-maker,
who is desperate to become the greatest ninja in his village. He goes through all kinds of
adventures, slowly maturing, but always willing to compete against his arch-rival Sasuke.
Whilst Narutos mischievous nature gets him into a lot of trouble, his determination
to become the best is unsurpassable. Unfortunately though, Sasuke seems to be top of the
class in everything, and will be an incredible opponent to better.
The love of Narutos life is a young girl called Sakura
who absolutely hates him. She thinks very little of everything he does, and is even less
impressed by his dumb approach to most things. Another disadvantage to the chances of
these two having a relationship is that Sakura loves Sasuke.
These three kids get put in a group to train with an expert
ninja, and to carry out missions until theyre strong enough to advance to the next
level. Usually every mission carries hidden dangers though, creating hardships for Naruto
and his teammates. Each task seems more daunting than the last, but Naruto is more than up
to the challenge.
The artwork in this manga is fantastic, with great detail on
every single character, and an impressive selection of background features that perfectly
blend in with the surroundings. The movement can easily be noticed with well-drawn lines
showing direction, and speed, etc, as well as creases and folds in clothes, which have
been done intricately. The one problem with the artwork is that occasionally it can be
hard to figure out exactly what is happening in certain scenes. These are generally during
close range fighting, and whilst it is generally done well, there are odd instances where
it can be hard to decipher.
The story in excellent and engrossing, catching the readers
interest immediately, and constantly improving with each chapter. Due to the brilliant way
it is done, it is incredibly hard to stop reading, and can often keep you up extremely
late, desperate to know what happens next. One of the best aspects of the fascinating
story is the constant changes in the Naruto character, as he adapts to situations, becomes
more sensible, and over time becomes an all round better person. The way each chapter
leaves in a cliff-hanger is also good, as it makes the next one even better.
This is a great manga, worthy of being read by anyone and
everyone. The artist is obviously incredibly talented with a fantastic brain for story
telling, as it will keep you interest throughout. If you havent already witnessed
this immense triumph in Japanese manga for yourself, then I strongly suggest you do so. It
is easily one of the best out there. I am going to give it an A, which means it should
definitely be read by everyone, and only has some slight flaws. |
