Hey guys, I will not be able to update until after the 16th of August or later. I'm moving to a new house and the computer and internet is supposed to be setup on the 15th, but I doubt that will happen. I've been working really hard on some new Race History information, so look foward to that when I get back.
Alright this isn't the update I promised you guys but rather something I found for you guys to have fun with there's a new rpg on the net and it's not one of those text based things this one has icons and everything it's like DBGTN's MMORPG but better(not an understatement). Anyway the url is http://games.byond.com/hub/KPanther/DragonballAgesall you have to do is download byond and get a free key(just a user id) and you're ready to go. Check it out it's hours of fun. Oh and the layout looks great. Peace.
I put a new layout up, its quite simple, with only 3 small images and the rest tables. The layout will most likely be modified in the next couple of days, if I think of some better things to do with it.
Also, I will not be able to update until sometime on August 20th, because I am moving soon. But I will most likely be doing a lot of behind the scenes work on the site, such as typing up some information on my laptop or something of that such. Until then, later.
Tech TV Canada denies Anime! posted by Rohit on 08/04/03
Hey guys, this is Rohit again, and I found this "heart-breaking" news on ANN:
TechTV Canada's request to have its programming expanded to include dramatic content (fiction) has been denied by the CRTC. As a result TechTV Canada will not be able to air Anime Unleashed, for now at least. According to TechTV Canada, "We are presently looking at our various options and next steps with legal counsel."
Well, I hope you enjoyed that ^^.
Also, Saiyanz Legacy made it into the top 50 sites at http://www.perfectanime.net. It is a great honor, and I'd like to congratulate DA, and all of the staff members here at SzL on this accomplishment.
I'm sorry for not updating often, I've just been really busy because school and stuff. Anyway expect an update from me during later during the week. I'd also like to thank Rohit for updating. I think he wants to make it clear that he doesn't work for the site but rather is a friend helping out. Also it's my B-day so I'm chillin. Peace.
Series 13 Action Figures Released! posted by Rohit on 07/31/03
Hey guys, this is Rohit again, and I found an interesting article on the new Series 13 dbz action figures. This news article comes from The Dragonball Toys Website:
What's that? Series 13 ALREADY? Amazingly yes! Series 13 has been activated in GameStop's computers, and some stores have already started receiving and selling them today for $7.99. We were all so used to Irwin constantly delaying their figures, it comes as quite the big surprise to see Dragonball figures hit the store shelves before their release dates! Once again major kudos to Jakks. So make sure to have your wallets ready and keep an eye out for Super Buu, Super Vegito, SS3 Gotenks, Battle Damaged Goku, and Pikkon at your local DBZ toy sellers.
Also, if you haven't already, start visiting the Anime Republic. AR, is a special project of SzL, and is made by Dark Assassin. They've got great anime reviews, so go check'em out. Okay, later guyz.
Hey guys, my name is Rohit, and I'm going to be helping DA bring SzL back to life. Recently, it might have been going a little slow.My main job is going to be a newsposter type of person. I am not so much a staff member, as I am a friend of the site. If you have any suggestions, questions, or anything else, please feel free to email me at thesdominator @ yahoo.com. Thanks.
Here's my "first report", this news comes from ANN: Studio Ghibli is hiring in the areas of animation, background art, and finishing (digital painting). Gender, school education, experience and nationality are not considered, but it is necessary to have strong Japanese language skills to communicate with the staff.
The announced starting salary is 167,000 yen (US$1,401.13) per month plus travel expenses, a nine-month training period nine months from April 2004, working hours 10am to 6pm with overtime, and holidays.
Interested? Applications close September 8th, 2003, for animation and ten days later for background and finishing. Further details are available from the Studio Ghibli website (Japanese).
