| Blade
2 // The daywalker has returned!
|
Blade played by Wesley Snipes, returns to kick some
ass. But this time, he is teamed up with his mortal enemies to
try and bring down an even stronger and fierce enemy. A new
breed of terror has evolved that prays on vampires. So blade
must unite with the vampire community to stop these mutated
freaks. This movie is really about that phrase of keeping your
friends close and your enemies even closer.

The story is not really the high point of
this movie. I believe they wanted to focus more on the special
effects and the fight scenes. The story is not bad but it's
also far from perfect. This is a movie based on a marvel super
hero. Which you automatically know would end in a happy ending
with the hero saving the world. But it was interesting that he
had to team up with vampires this time to fight an even
greater foe. It's not a movie where you would go to see an
in-depth story, this is a movie you would go to see some ass
kicking.
I would have given this movie a perfect score in the special
effects category if it wasn't for the last fight. Wesley
Snipes looked like he was computer generated. His face was
polygon like and the body movements were just too unreal. But
the rest of the special effects were very good. Blade still
looks badass with his long black leather coat and his wicked
weapons.
The sound effects were awesome. Just like the first movie, the
soundtrack was amazing with very cool tunes that really gets
you bobbing your heads. I really think techno,
leather, vampires and blade are a perfect match and this movie
gives you back some of those club-like beats.
Not one of Wesley Snipes best performance but he really looked
comfortable and natural playing Blade this time around. I
believe he was just getting used to being Blade in the first
movie and here he was finally more in tuned with the
character. A great cast support alongside the great Kris
Kristofferson playing Whistler and a few others really did a
fairly good job on their parts.
