Summary:

The Battle is Set!!
Goku and Krillin have made it to the finals in the Tenkaichi Budoukai! Now, they are off looking for Goku's old friends, who are in the main arena. They go through a crowd of people, asking to be excused, but realize that they'll never find them in this sea of blubber and sweat, so Goku asks one man for a favor and is on his head, looking for Bulma and co. He finally finds them, while Kamesennin, who just met up with Bulma, asks how she is doing? Bulma ignores the question and goes on to say where in the world does he live now? She went to his island but found no one there. Kamesennin tells her that he needed to go to a larger place to train, but enough about that, and more about a little "puff-puff" for old time's sake. Bulma hits him with a mallet, telling him that she would never. Goku then goes behind Oolong, yelling out his hand, making him see who it is. They both start to praise each other, while Goku also says hello to Bulma and Puar. Bulma says hello back and asks why he's here? Oolong asks if he's competing too and if he saw Yamcha? Goku tells him that he has, but didn't recognize him with his short hair. Goku the introduces Krillin, who is his training partner. Krillin bows humbly, expressing his greetings. Kamesennin then asks if they qualified, making them both smile greatly. Bulma begins to think they're lying, so she asks. Goku tells her that he made it, with Krillin and Yamcha. Everyone starts to praise them with a congratulations and good work.

Suddenly, an announcer yells out that the Tenkaichi Budoukai finals will begin shortly and needs all finalists to come to the martial arts hall. Goku jumps over the wall with Krillin, telling his friends good-bye. Bulma smiles for Goku, seeing he's still a small fry, while Oolong notices that Kamesennin has disappeared. At the martial arts hall, Yamcha asks Goku if he met up with with the old gang, while Goku proudly announces that he has. Soon, a large, smelly man walks in, telling everyone to move out of his way. Goku starts to feel incredible pain in his nose, covering up because of the smell. Krillin asks who that is, making Yamcha explain that he's one of the toughest ones here, but what is more is his smell, since he's never taken a bath in his life. While fighting him, the other fighter must hold his nostrils, letting his defense go, and therefore making him the winner. Goku starts to beg for mercy, telling everyone that his nose is as sharp as a dogs. The announcer then tells everyone to come to him now, but asking the large, stinky one to go a bit farther back. He points at a chart of how the fighting will be arranged, where fighters will draw a number to see who will fight who. An old man comes up and drags a young girl with him, telling him that he wants to fight her, while the announcer tells him that he will not. The announcer then tells them that they will now call off names.

First up, is Namu, who receives number six, who will be in match three. After that is Giran, who gains number eight, in match four. After him, is Bacterian, who is number two, in match one. After that is Yamcha, number three, in match two. Then Krillin, who is number one, in match one, which makes Krillin scream. Then, Song Oku. No one comes up, while the announcer tells them again for Song Oku to come. Yamcha comes up to him, and sees what it says, then tells him that it's Son Goku. Goku puts his arms up, telling him he's here! He gets number seven, in match four. Then Ran Fan, and finally, Jackie Chun. That is the schedule and the announcer goes on to the rules. There will be no time limit, and if you fall off the stage or cry for "mercy," you lose. Also, hitting the eyes or vulnerables is strictly prohibited. Goku asks what vulnerables are, while the announcer calls them jewels, while Ran Fan tells him that she thought they couldn't wear jewelry. The announcer wipes the sweat off of him, telling them that they matches will begin soon, so everyone should get ready. Goku then pulls on the announcers sleeve, telling him when lunch is? The announcer requests that they should wait until after their match to eat, but Goku clearly insists. The announcer falls prey to him, so asks an official to make him a lunch. Goku asks if Krillin wants some too, but Krillin is too nervous to be hungry. Goku eats so much, that in the end of his second meal, he asks for thirds. Finally, the announcer makes his appearance outside and welcome everyone to the 21st Tenkaichi Budoukai!
