| Triple
X // A new breed of secret agents...
|
Xander Cage a.ka. Triple-X, played by Vin Diesel
is hired by the NSA to investigate an underground Russian
organization. His mission, to blend in, get information and
get out alive. What they found was that the organization was
building a submarine capable of launching bio-nuclear weapons
anywhere in the world and it cannot be detected. Triple-X must
stop this from happening and save the world from total nuclear
annihilation.

The story of Triple-X is the basic, bad
guy gets a nuke and plans to destroy the world and good guy
must stop it. But the difference is, it is more like a bad guy
stop a bad guy. In the story, Triple-X is portrayed as a man
hunted down by the law, a thrill seeker hired by the NSA. He
is hired because the organization they are trying to
infiltrate can smell an agent a mile away. So they figured, if
sending a ruffian like Triple-X, they might actually welcome
him. Well the story has its low and high points, but to me it
was pretty entertaining. It wasn't too complex and it wasn't
to simple which I think is perfect for an action type movie.
The special effects are very good. Well what can you expect
from the same producers as Fast and the Furious. The movie had
tons of explosions, gun fights and car chases, aspects that
you will find in a regular action movie. But this movie has
scenes that can match up with those as James Bond. Mainly
talking about the avalanche scene
and the motorcycle scene.
The soundtrack was close to perfect. It really gave you a feel
of the movie and the surroundings. It was really great and
well done. The music switches from fast to slow, and loud to
quiet depending on the scene. To be blunt, the soundtrack was
awesome.
The acting was actually not bad. One would expect with a
fairly new actor like Vin Diesel, the acting would be a little
shabby, but he did a fairly good job. The other cast did a
good job as well such as the performance of Samuel L. Jackson,
Asia Argento and Marton Csokas.
