-Subject: The results are in! Jackie Chan is Vegeta!
Posted on Monday, September 30 2002 -=- By {-Sam-} drop me a line
-Accorting to dragonballz.com, Jackie Chan received the most votes to play Vegeta. Jet Li recevied most votes to play Goku. Now they want to know Who do you think should direct the Dragon Ball Z live action movie?

Everyone please put down "Andy Wachowski and Larry Wachowski". Those are the directers that directed The Matrix. -=- Sam.

-Subject: FUNimation Announces DBZ Number One on All Cable TV
Posted on Monday, September 30 2002 -=- By {-Sam-} drop me a line
-Beating out everything from Digimon to the Simpsons and other Prime Time broadcast shows, the season premiere of Dragonball Z was the most watched show on TV last week (week ending September 22nd) for its key demographics.

"We anticipated good ratings for the new season, but having the number one show for our target audience on all cable television is outstanding," exclaims Gen Fukunaga, president and founder of FUNimation Productions Ltd. "From the success of the series, to home videos and our figures from IF Labs, Dragon Ball Z is a very strong property."

The season premiere of Dragonball Z aired on September 16th on Cartoon Network's Toonami. What is particularly surprising about the ultra-high ratings is that Dragonball Z is only shown on that one cable channel. It is relatively rare for the top show in any demographic to be anything other than a show airing on a broadcast network such as ABC or NBC.

Reflecting the success of the show during the week ending September 22 (as compared to the same time period last year), FUNimation's press release states:

Dragon Ball Z was the #1 program of the week on all cable television with tweens 9-14, boys 9-14 and men 12-24.

Dragon Ball Z's boys 9-14 ratings (11.5) jumped +70 percent, while men 12-24 ratings (6.6) leaped 120 percent, compared to the same time period last year.

The Wednesday, Monday and Tuesday telecasts of Dragon Ball Z ranked as the top three programs in all of television -- broadcast or cable -- for delivery of boys 9-14. (The closest competitor was CBS' Survivor: Thailand.)

-Subject: I'm moving to the UK
Posted on Monday, September 23 2002 -=- By {-Sam-} drop me a line
-According to salfinal71 UK is getting a new channel called CNX which is a branch off Cartoon Network aimed totally for adult males. Think of it as Adult Swim, but a whole new channel. It'll be showing a lot of animes and that includes uncencored DBZ, they'll be finishing the fusion saga on that channel too. Looks like UK DBZ is miles ahead of the American DBZ. I'm sure we will get something like that in the future. -=- Sam.

-Subject: My God Big News
Posted on Saturday, September 21 2002 -=- By {-SzR-} drop me a line
-Okay sorry this isn't in the comm. News area but it is big news. Oh the comm. news page does work.
www.dbgt.com has been hacked and possibly by ENGEL. If you don't know Engel he owned DBZORG. This is fishy because most of you know I too am a network security specialist and a lot of my BHat hackers are emailing me about this. I also am getting money offers from people to attack DBGTN.com and suprisingly enough it is not RUBEN asking. I don't know whats going on. I REFUSE to Hack Frank he is a personal friend so no worries there (altough the people contacting me is willing to pay good money) I ain't no sell out. Well as my team (Red Hack Team) finds out what is going on I will let the community know. I hear it wasn't an exploit or buffer overflow, It's been said it was an old FTP login that did it.

NOW for this site. The php that we wrote is giving us a hard time so content is gonna take a little longer. I am re-coding all the content and it should be up shortly. Also to my AFFILIATES that have not been listed I AM GONNA LIST you the bottom of the layout did not come out as planned so I am fixing it and you will all be in that area.
I also have been getting emails about some of my affiliates cheating on hits and action is gonna be taken. Well look forward to more news and updates as today is a busy day in the Community -=- SzR.

-Subject: First 3 DBZ Movies Will Not To Be Re-Dubed.
Posted on Friday, September 20 2002 -=- By {-Sam-} drop me a line
-According to Kyle Hebert the Voice Actor of Adult Gohan, Funimation will not be redubbing the first 3 movies. They are already uncut. Also, if you didn't already hear distribution rights to the first two American seasons of Dragonball Z (eps. 1 to 53) will revert to FUNimation from Pioneer in 2004, at which time the roughly 15 episodes edited out of the American version will be restored, re-dubed, and re-scripted for uncensored, bilingual home video release. -=- Sam.

-Subject: The "teaser" Poster is Real..
Posted on Sunday, September 15 2002 -=- By {-Sam-} drop me a line
-Many Anime Magazines including Beckett DBZ Magazine's September 2002 issue Volume 3 of 9 and online movie sites, are now reporting that this is the official "teaser" poster for the Dragonball Live Action Movie.

Also a few months ago ING reported that the layout of the poster is not in the usual one-sheet proportions, meaning that if it's real, it's probably some kind of special banner. On the one hand, the graphic design work is far above the usual fan-made fare – clearly the work of a professional designer. The poster also includes a jazzy new "DBZ" monogram that is so typical of the inscrutable alphanumeric tags Hollywood and TV producers like sticking on movies and shows these days. -=- Sam.
