¤ No the first 5 DBZ episodes are not airing on Kid's WB. Like reported here a few days ago. Kid's WB has mixed up the episodes that will air during Dragonball Z at 4:30pm on Kid's WB Toonami. Here is the list as of right now..
Toonami's Kid's WB Dragonball Z Line Up.
Mon, July 30 at 4:30 pm during DBZ - "Gohan's Metamorphosis" (Season 1)
Tue, July 31 at 4:30 pm during DBZ - "Home for Infinite Losers" (Season 1)
Wed, August 1 at 4:30 pm during DBZ - "Laboratory Basement" (Season 4)
Thu, August 2 at 4:30 pm during DBZ - "Super Vegeta" (season 4)
Fri, August 3 at 4:30 pm during DBZ - "Faith in a Boy" (Season 4)
So there you have it a the episodes are all mixed-up from Season 1 and 4. Kid's WB Toonami version has the rights to everything aired on CN's Toonami version. There might be some exceptions though. But this is the confirmed DBZ episode Line-Up.
Updated: If you want to see some screencaps from tne new Kid's WB Toonami you can Click Here... The Toonami "add" talks about Tom and Toonami having landed on the Kid's WB Station and will begin broadcast Monday June 30.
Hell-o, Praise the Lord!! I am back from my vacation. I had the most pleasurable time on my senior trip, and my second vacation visiting foreign countries was also fun. I will post up some pictures of the countries I visited. There is so much to say but so little time. I don't want to get into it right now. I got back 2 days ago but I am still not over the jet-lag. I am too exhausted to do almost anything. I slept like 13-15 hours last night and I am still exhausted. This tiredness is due to the different time changes in all the different countries and the gravity change on the plane verses the land. I mean 13-20 hours on a plane is just weird.

As soon as the problem was noticed the IP addresses were corrected. The corrections took a few hours to take effect and then domains worked again.

¤ once again Someone has emailed a pic of a trace route of my site IP address. Well I can't wait till they try to hack as eveyone knows what my dad does for a living. Someone has tried and they even had an IP scrambler (their IP was all zeros and even tried to use someone elses puter) but my dad has a special proggie installed on my FTP account that bounces a packet of the IP till it hits the root then emails me the results. My dad is now seriously talking to the FCC about this hacker named Lorthic. AOL is actualy tracerouting the IP of this individual and will be contacting my father on the correct name, address of this person and have agreed to help bring charges against this person. Here are the laws my father are going to be prosecuting under. THESE ARE FELONY CHARGES and regaurdless of the age holds a penalty of no less than 1 YEAR and no more than 5. But each HACK is a violation so if 5 sites were hacked that means 5 charges totaling up to 25 years in jail REGARDLESS OF AGE (as long as the person is over the age of 7 as deemed by the supreme court as anyone over the age of 7 is held LIABLE for their own actions)
~HRS section 708-890
~HRS section 708-891
~HRS section 708-892
I promise you I ain't no kid that lets this hacking go and you can ask some of the people who aren't on the net anymore I DO PROSECUTE.
I hope i get an email from this person before my dad gets the info AND NO IF YOU CANCEL YOUR ACCOUNT YOUR INFO IS STILL AVAILABLE becasue its on file.
LORTHIC if you didn't do this I HIGHLY suggest you contact me so I can relay the info to my dad. Jags2ooo found out how serious my dad gets and Jags2ooo apologized and we dropped the charges against him. Now you can ask Jags2oo and he'll let you know that my dad DOESN'T FUCK around about this look at the above links and you'll realize THESE ARE FELONY OFFENSES.

¤ Here's the scoop for the TOONAMI on Kids WB:As we reported earlier, Toonami is coming to Kids'WB! Batman Beyond will be a part of the block, as well as Pokemon, Cardcaptors (unconfirmed), but the 4:30pm (ET) slot is the kicker. It seems, for now, that time slot will be a rotating slot highlighting Cartoon Network Toonami shows, much like the "Action Block" that aired earlier this summer in that same timeslot. Batman Beyond will remain at 3pm (ET), followed by Pokemon, possibly Cardcaptors (or another Pokemon), then the rotating CN slot. This schedule right now is likely temporary. And the first show to begin in this slot? Well, on Monday, July 30 Kids'WB! will air a week of Dragonball Z episodes at 4:30 p.m. (ET). This is a big milestone in the Toonami block, which will be four hour slong and stretched over two networks. Stay tuned for more news on this later this week!
Of course sourced from the Planet of The Nameks
OH and by the way in case you missed it PLANET NAMEK has a new layout BOING BOING BOING. Nice work Mr.E You sly dog I never seen it coming........
Side-Note: One of our source has informed us that TOONAMI on Kids WB has rights to air Dragonball Z, Season 1 and 2 only. That means they can air only episodes 1 to 53 on Kids WB. This news comes from Sam who is on a vacation and will return this week.

¤ This is just in from Anime News Service:
Your chance is coming! Palisades and Score, producers of the DragonBall Z
collectible card game, have teamed up to cross promote the DragonBall Z license,
providing fans with an opportunity to win one of ten early released busts. The
two mini resin-busts, Future Trunks and Imperfect Cell, are exclusives of
Georgia Music Distributors and can normally only be found at
www.georgiamusic.com. This time around however, they're free!
The Game If you haven't seen Score's Dragonball Z CCG yet, it is based on
Dragonball Z and allows players to do Dragonball-style combat against one
another through the use of powerful cards, powerful characters, and a healthy
does of skill. It's a game along the lines of Magic: The Gathering, but with
it's own rules and settings, based on the worlds, character, and specific forms
of combat of Dragonball Z. In the game, players assume the roles of either the
Super Saiyan Warrior, Goku or Goku's long-time ally, Vegeta, and challenge the
heroes and villains of the animated series, earning skill as they go. The more
battles you win, the more experience you gain, and the better your character
becomes at fighting others. But it's not all power - there's a fair amount of
skill involved in the game - you have to think about your moves in advance, as
well as the ramifications of your moves. If it were any tougher, it would be
called Dragonball Z Chess.
The game has become huge in CCG gaming circles and won more than a few awards.
Now, it's time for some champions to be named. Championship Dragonball Z matches
will be held during this year's convention season, and Palisades will be
providing the leading prizes for all of these events. You guessed it - the
exclusive Future Trunks and Imperfect Cell mini resin-busts! And if you need a
little help on remembering who's who - Trunks is the son of Vegeta, and
Imperfect Cell is an android fighter created by Dr. Gero. In any case, they're
two of the toughest fighters in the Dragonball Z pantheon.
The Events The National Dragonball Z Championship Tournament will be held at the
San Diego Comic Con International, which is coming up next week, and runs from
July 17-21. The World Dragonball Z Championship Tournament will be held at the
premiere gaming convention, GENCON, which will be held in Milwaukee, WI from
August 2-5. A third, special Tournament, the WizardWorld Championship Tournament
will be held at WizardWorld Chicago, August 17-19. Each tournament is expected
to bring in dozens and dozens of players from across the country so don't expect
to waltz in and waltz out with the mini busts. You're going to have to work for
these cool prizes. If you want a quick preview of these killer prizes in person,
stop by either the Score or Palisades booth for a gander. For serious DBZ fans,
come on by the Palisades booth and take a look at our other upcoming DBZ
products. We guarantee that you'll like them - a lot. You think you've got what
it takes to take home one of these Dragonball Z mini busts? Get your decks tuned
and your gloves on, it's time to prove it.

T O P I C :::: Toonami update/New layout for AR

¤ Well, as many of you already know, Tenchi will air for the final time on Cartoon Network on July 20th. Though this may sound like bad news, Cartoon Network has two brand-spanken-new (!) series to take its place.
To start with, Cartoon Network will be airing the original Mobile Suit Gundam in their 5:00 PM timeslot. This is certainly a big boon for Gundam Wing fans. For those of you who don't know, MSGD first aired in 1979 and is the precursor to all other Gundam series. From what I hear, the series visuals and music has both been beautifully remastered under the close supervision of the original Japanese director. It should turn out to be quite a treat!
To complement MSGD, Cartoon Network will be airing The 08th MS Team (or 8th MS Gundam as its now called) during Midnight Run's 12:00 AM slot. The 08th MS Team take place during the same time frame as MSGD, but focuses on the exploits of a small contingent of normal mobile suit pilots. The 08th MS Team is a 12 episode OVA that was produced in the late 90's, and features animation quality that puts Gundam Wing to shame.
Personally, I am looking forward to both series (especially since the Ocean Group does such great dub jobs). With the chance to see a series that launched one of the greatest anime empires of all time, this will certainly be an exciting time for anime fans.
On a side note, during Anime Expo, FUNimation's CEO claimed that Dragonball would begin airing on Cartoon Network on the 23rd as well. However, numerous other "in the know" sources have confirmed otherwise. While we're fairly convinced Gen had been smoking some seriously heavy stuff prior to the expo, you'd think HE would know these things. In other words, don't be surprised if it happens, but it probably won't. We're still banking on a late August air date, perhaps to coincide with the launch of Dragonball Z Season 5.
Finally, to put a recent rumor to rest, Toonami is NOT moving to Kids WB.
Sourced via the Planet of the NAMEKS ^_^
Also Anime revenge has reopened with a kick ass new layout his finest work indeed go see.......

Hey all Anime Xero just got an awsome new layout go see, They are also looking for some major affiliates. Also WTF, The Sailormoon Porno is winning in the voting poll LOL.
Sniff sniff. I smell a network opening soon sniff sniff yupp so all you webmasters get your sites nw layouts up and getupdated info and improve those graphics because the "Rage Network" is a coming..... I think what i mentined above should give everyone a clue as to the requirments for the network. As of right now we will only be accepting 10 sites. Yup you heard TEN sites only. As always you can expect heavy promotion and a Revolutuionary layout.
Also I (along with SzFury) have narrowed down our project to something rather unique (as you all know I always try to do things Different) It will be revealed after we have something ironed out. But it is going to be a united/commutiy project. All i can say is only a few but not many will be able to be a part of the "Project". Check back for updates on this. Also look for a link later on my site to "The Project" ten you'll have more of an idea on whats it all about. Dammit SzFury email me man.........LOL

¤ 2 new ones Anime-Xero and Anime Online. Great sites. ALSO SAIYAN LEGACY OPENED AND WOW WHOA great site man.
Okay about the Tag board Here is the deal
------My father is a police officer and he is investigating this threat (he is a detective that works on the internet). Right now my Dad them are talking to the Federal government guys and AOL about sending Jags2ooo to jail. And since he never replied to the email my dad is now bringing in his co-detectives to press charges and stuff.
Its real serious I remember this happening to someone else when a guy from New york tried to hack a site owned by someone in Hawaii (where im from) my dad pressed charges and then when he got some warrant issued from New Yorks Court the NYPD went to arrest the person all the way in new york, I remember the NYPD sergeant in cahrge called MY house to let my dad know they had the guy in custody. Im used to to this stuff my dad is undercover on the net seeking to put hackers, Child porn, and other people like that to jail, He has been doing this for a couple of years now. I told him no need do anything becasue I know Pixelpresident and talked to Chris a lot of times and was even making him a tutorial on creating web sites and I helped him try to fix GT-100.coms layout. But becasue my dad hasn't gotten an email He is persuing charges :(. The thing is the tag board logs IP addresses on the DAT file which he has already printed out and emailed it to AOL to obtain the personal info on the guy who tagged and who ever signed up for the account (jags2ooo and Pixelpresident). Most people didn't know that the TAG board has an logged IP feature. That how he got those 2 IP addresses on the right from the Tag Bard. I hope PIXEL emails that he was joking so my dad dosn't request for the warrant (when aol gives them the persons account information name address and phone number) If he emails he was joking then he said he can not prove intent Whatever that means. Wow a simple email that would throw out a whole case unreal.... well later all.

¤ FUNimation Productions, Ltd. emphatically announces that recent Grammy Award-winners Deftones will head a roster of hot alternative bands featured on the soundtrack to the upcoming Dragon Ball Z movie, "Lord Slug."
Warner Bros. recording artists Deftones took home this year's Grammy Award for "Best Metal Performance," and also have been featured on the soundtracks for "The Crow: City of Angels" and "Escape from L.A." Since hitting the national scene with their 1995 debut album, "Adrenaline," this California quartet has become one of the premier punk-grunge alternative bands of the future.
Heavy metal band Disturbed also makes a prominent showing on the "Lord Slug" soundtrack, bringing its visceral rap-metal aggression to the mix. The band, which was formed in Chicago in 1997, grabbed ears nation-wide last year with the release of its Giant Records debut, "The Sickness." The group was named Best New Band in Hit Parader's magazine poll, and will tour on the Ozzfest bill this summer.
"It makes perfect sense for such cutting-edge bands to be included on the new Dragon Ball Z soundtrack," explained Gen Fukunaga, President of FUNimation. "This is one of the most cutting-edge cartoons on television today, and it is a perfect fit with today's hottest new bands."
Joining Deftones and Disturbed on the soundtrack are Wind-Up Records recording artists Boy Hits Car, Dust for Life, Fingers Eleven, American Pearl and Broken. The movie, set to hit the shelves August 7 on home video and DVD formats, is the fourth full-length Dragon Ball Z feature presentation. This time around, Goku must battle an evil overlord, Lord Slug, who has come to Earth inside a deadly asteroid with just one goal - to destroy it. Once Lord Slug discovers the seven magic Dragon Balls, it appears that even Goku may not be able to keep the planet out of his evil clutches.

¤ Here is an official press release from Infogrames about one of the new Dragon Ball Z games. Very exciting news!
INFOGRAMES, INC. REVEALS ITS FIRST DRAGON BALL Z® GAME, THE LEGACY OF GOKU®
Phenomenally Popular Property Headed to Game Boy® Advance This Winter
PLYMOUTH, MN, June 5, 2001 - Unveiling the first details surrounding its lineup of eagerly anticipated video games based on the Dragon Ball Z® property, WizardWorks, a division of Infogrames, Inc. (Nasdaq: IFGM) announced today The Legacy of Goku® for the Game Boy® Advance. Developed by Webfoot™ Technologies, Inc., The Legacy of Goku® is an action-adventure game complimented by engaging role-playing elements, that challenges players to defeat enemies throughout various quests in an effort to save Earth from the Saiyans, and save the galaxy from the evil Frieza. As the story unfolds, players explore vast lands and interact with numerous characters as they attempt to complete their quest.
"Dragon Ball Z® has a loyal following in the millions, and our primary goal with The Legacy of Goku® is to provide them with a compelling interactive game that stays true to the cartoon series," said Paul Rinde, senior vice president and general manager of WizardWorks. "To that end, we've incorporated the same distinctive visual style and deep character development, and combined them with proven game features such as multi-play and dynamic story telling."
In The Legacy of Goku®, the kidnapping of Goku's son sets off a chain of events that ultimately threatens the safety of the galaxy. Powerful alien forces converge on Earth to acquire the powerful Dragon Balls -- objects which when brought together grant the possessor a single wish. Ultimately, the stage moves to the distant planet of Namek, one of the sources of the Dragon Balls, where an entity of mind-boggling strength, Frieza, is preparing to gain immortality by enslaving the galaxy. It's up to Goku and his friends to stop Frieza before it's too late.
Throughout The Legacy of Goku®, players can build up and maximize their character's powers to aid their quest during future battles. Success in combat depends on mastering the balance of Melee versus Ki fighting. In story mode, the primary mode of single-player action, players move from chapter to chapter, completing quests and fighting battles. However, gamers can also play several chapters at once, simultaneously controlling different characters and accomplishing different tasks.

¤ This is very exciting news. It is anticipated that every episode release after July 17 will be simultaneous released on VHS and DVD, providing that any new video release has not aired on Cartoon Network. This means that for you DVD fans you don't have to wait or really WASTE your money on VHS tapes to catch the new episodes. I highly Recommend DVD as they have preserved the ORIGNAL aspect of Dragonball Z as intended by the Japanese creator Toriyama. It also has features like English Dubbed and English Subtitled.
Funimation also updated about the GT series, as soon as They are finished with DBZ, they will be releasing th GT Videos before airing it o Cartoon Network. The earliest videos would be available is 2003
Cartoon Network plans to air approximately 50 episodes beginning this September and finish the remaining episodes starting in September 2002
though it is unclear if the remaining episodes are the GT series.

¤ Seems like there is a lot of controversy over what Nelvana will do to
Card Captors. This is an important announcement to Cardcaptor fans in
the U.S.
"Whether it is in usenet newsgroups, webboards or private mailing
lists, internet fans of Cardcaptor Sakura continue to discuss the
changes being made to the series by Nelvana.
Most readers will remember the controversy stirred up earlier this
year when Nelvana first introduced Cardcaptors, starting in the
middle of the series and relegating Sakura, the main character of the
original series, to the part of a "co-star" or even supporting
character.
At the time, fans hoped and even prayed that Nelvana would leave the
rest of the series alone.
While a sub-licence to Pioneer, which releases the original, unedited
version of Cardcaptor Sakura on subbed VHS and subbed DVD, was the
answer for some fans, other fans still lament the editing being done
to the broadcast version of Cardcaptors.
Most recently, the episode corresponding to the first season finale
was aired on TV. In the original, Sakura spent much of the episode
trying to figure out what kind of Christmas gift to get for another
character. In the corresponding episode of Cardcaptors, the Christmas
gift aspect is removed entirely from the show and Sakura is instead
said to be worrying about a dream that she had earlier in the show.
As fans wait to see what season two will bring, one thing that is
certain is that Nelvana will continue to re-write the series and the
only option fans will remain the home video releases by Pioneer."

¤ Hello everyone, FUNimation has casted the two voice actors and they are Eric Johnson and Laura Bailey. Here are the words from the official site:
FUNimation is pleased to announce that we have cast the two main characters for Blue Gender. The envelope please...and the winners are Eric Johnson and Laura Bailey. Johnson will play the voice of Yuji, who is the star of Blue Gender. Johnson had this to say about his part in the series, "I am excited about the character Yuji because it gives me a chance to play a character who is experiencing emotions different from what I have played in the past. I think Blue Gender is the best thing that FUNimation has produced so far. It is one impressive piece of work." Johnson also plays the voice of Trunks in the series Dragon Ball Z. Bailey will be the voice of Marlene, the female lead in the series. Bailey said, "I am so excited to be a part of something so new at FUNimation. Marlene is such a strong character it is an honor to be able to bring her to life." Bailey is currently the voice of young Trunks in the series Dragon Ball Z. Production on Blue Gender is under way; we will keep you updated as the series progresses and moves toward release.

Mr.E of Planet Namek is reporting that the airing of the original Dragon Ball on Cartoon Network is being pushed back YET AGAIN to what appears to be late August. If you recall my talk with the Officials and I quote - "I would be suprised to see Dragonball premier on July 23rd". humm? I not saying what he ment by that, because I not sure what he ment by that comment. I thought it was cheep talk, but this could get ugly? I don't think he ment that Literally. I'll have to get back to you fans on that comment only after I return from my vacation. Till then count on PlanetNamek.com to get the scoop on it.. But all I can say right now is DB may still broadcast at 5:30 PM (e/p) on July 23rd. Wait for the Official word.
Official CN PR EXACTLY!! Just like I reported 3 days ago on Toonami Data. Cartoon Network has sent out an official press release to the public announcing the dates for Mobile Suit Gundam and 08th MS Team. Both shows premiere on July 23rd at 5pm and 12am (midnight) respectively. Read the full press release here. ^_^ ANN got the scoop on it too. There is just one clear up I want to make. 08th MS Team which will premiere at 12:00 AM (e/p) will premier on July 24th and not July 23rd. It will be July 23rd midnight, but it will officialy be July 24th.

I had only one question for him "Why the offical Cartoonnetwork.com hadn't updated its schedule pages?" But we ended up talking for a long time where he reveled a lot of info on the Toonami Schedule and Line-up. You can read all about in our new section called Toonami Data. I will give you an oultine of what news it contains in it, I will how ever not post details or dates on the main page, beause it will take up a lot of space..
- Dragonball Z will be returning to the 5:00 PM (e/p) only for 2 days.
- Outlaw Star will return July 23rd to the Toonami's TMR .
- Premier date of July 23rd set for Mobile Suit Gundam on Toonami
- Premier date of July 23rd set for 8th MS Gundam during TMR.
- Pilot Candidate will premier on Toonami late Fall.
- Sailor Moon S premier date set for June 27th on Toonami
- Toonami Lockdown: comming this fall. Look for Tom3
Want exact times for DBZ, Outlaw and MS Gundam CLICK HERE. Anyways I wasn't suppose to reveal it all right now. But I had to since I am leaving in 4 days. Read the full scoop at our new section Toonami Data with exact date and timeings. I hope I don't get my ass in trouble for posting this. But this should answer a tone on question for right now. The offcial CartoonNetwork.con schedule pages should be updated in a few days with the same info I revealed.
Good Bye For Now: Too bad I will not be able to stick around to see Big O. I am leaving for my Senior Trip this June 21st. Me and my friends are going to the Key's in Florida. Hell ya!. We will be back home on July 1st. But right after that the same night July 1st me and my family are going on a world tour vacation. We will be visiting China, North Korea, Singapore, India and Germany. We will stay 5-7 days in each country. I might have some time to buy some cheep anime stuff. Especially in China and India, the black-market is huge and you get all kinds of Japanimation or anime there. We will return to the U.S. on July 22nd. During this time I will not have time to update this site, because I can hardly speak Chinese or Korean and all the keyboards will be in the respected languages. However we will visit Germany and there they have bilingual keyboards (English and German). So I may be able to make a update on DBZ or Toonami news from there. I will be in Germany July 15th. Look at the bright side I will be back to watch DB, Outlaw Star, MS Gundam and 8th MS Gundam.. Peace Out!

¤ I never stressed enought on this part of the press release yesterday. So here it is: Cartoon Network's president, Betty Cohen, is stepping down and will be replaced by Bradley Siegel, an executive at AOL Time Warner's Turner Broadcasting. Cohen, 44, will stay at AOL Time Warner to develop "multiplatform" programs and services that target 17- to 25-year-olds. In related news the officials at CN have started airing KidsWB commercials on Cartoon Network. I just saw the new CardCaptors season commercial for KidsWB on CN this morning, shocked me to see how the KidsWB audience may just win over more fans to Toonami. Now I understand... Looks like this is all for the good.

¤ Betty Cohen announced today that she will leave her post as president of Cartoon Network Worldwide, effective July 16, but will stay within the AOL Time Warner/Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. (TBS, Inc.) family. BETTY COHEN SAID:My tenure at Turner Broadcasting, and particularly with Cartoon Network, has been a series of remarkable opportunities. I am now excited to focus my attention on what the next big thing in my life and career will be. I am an entrepreneurial builder, and Jamie Kellner has afforded me the opportunity to pursue a dream of mine. There is no better time to do that than right now. I could not have reached this decision without the support of Jamie and Bob Pittman, who by word and example have inspired me to pursue new challenges in my life and career, as they have done recently. I am also grateful to the Cartoon Network management team, in whom I have complete confidence. Their passion and enthusiasm for our business are the bedrock of CN's success and will continue to power its remarkable growth. »»
"Cartoon Network would not be the success it is today had it not been for Betty's vision and leadership. She turned our library of classic cartoons into one of the most valuable media properties in the world. I respect Betty as a business person and admire her as a colleague and friend. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next." said Mr. Turner. This is however very bad for Toonami fan's since now Jamie Kellner is the direct owner of Cartoon Networks's Toonami. Damn! I guess there is bound for something good to come out of this, we will just have to wait and see. Source: Yahoo News!
* I know that Betty Cohen has quit as the president of Cartoon Network (world wide) she has still got a job inside AOL Time/Warner. I don't care how you look at this situation, I think Cartoon Network is in deep deep S#IT. Who know what Jamie Kellner is going to do in the future. For right now keep your fingres crossed. *

¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨

¤ Two very popular bands, "Disturbed and Deftones" are going to be featured on the new DBZ Movie #4 Soundtrack. - FUNimation Productions, Ltd. emphatically announces that recent Grammy Award-winners Deftones will head a roster of hot alternative bands featured on the soundtrack to the upcoming Dragon Ball Z movie, "Lord Slug."
(I like both these hardcore metal-rock bands "Disturbed and Deftones". Disturbed was popular in 1999-2000 and still carring strongly in 2001. Deftones is a fairly new rock band. They are one of the most popular Rock band's out there. Damn! this is the best thing that ever happened to DBZ. Man, if only they could include Linkin Park, Tool, and Staind on their CD it would be the best selling soundtrack in the Nation. This is so cool.)
Source: Official Site.

¤ One of the best sustained examples of "Japanimation" (or "Anime," as fans of the genre called it), Akira is based on the manga (comic book) by Katsuhiro Otomo. The story is set in the post-apocalyptic community of Neo-Tokyo. Akira is a fiercely individualistic member of a scrungy motorcycle gang. The despotic authorities, the robotlike police, and even the cycle gang pursue Akira when he's bombarded with a new, insidious energy source that has rendered him telekinetic. Budgeted at $8 million (an enormous amount for a Japanese film of any kind), Akira has become a cult favorite thanks to generous midnight-movie exposure and multiple showing on cable TV's Cartoon Network. -- Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide DVD/VHS and DVD Special Collector's Edition Expected Release Date: 24 Jul 2001.

¤ On the heels of Cartoon Network's announcement yesterday that it is planning a late-night block of adult-targeted cartoons, "Pulp Culture" spoke with Cartoon Network spokesman Jim Babcock, who was able to add a few more details. If the block is successful, CN plans to expand it to other nights. Babcock said CN would look outside of CN's own animation studios for potential programming, but he refused to say whether or not the adult-themed anime series "Cowboy Bebop," long rumored to be a potential CN acquisition, was under consideration. He did stress that CN maintains a good working relationship with all of its outside animation providers, including Bandai Entertainment, which produces "Cowboy Bebop."
Doesn't this sounds exciting. This first positive confirmation that anime is at least a possibility for Adult Swim in the future.. The names for other 'Adult Swim' cartoons airing on the block are: "Sealab 2021," "Aqua Teen Hunger Force," "Harvey Birdman" and "Leave it to Brak." Another 'Adult Swim' toon, "Home Movies," was picked up by CN after it was dropped by UPN. Source: Pulp Culture Online

¤ Hi, I have been getting quite a bt of emails from people requesting i make 2gui Buttons. so Here they are 2gui Buttons by Saiyanz Rage.
Also we got a new splash page go check it out Here.
* Note Do not link to the buttons, rather save them and upload them onto your account. ALSO when you return to the enter page right click and hit refresh. Thanks...
I got an email from the owner of the server and it read as follows
----In a 2Gui email that was sent to all hostees we said that the server should be up to speed in two weeks which would have been this Friday. On Tuesday we received an email from the company that hosts our dedicated server. In short the email said that the restructuring of their server hosting centre in London would not be completed by this Friday as expected due to British Telecom having not finished the work they were supposed to do. The restructuring should now be finished about week later than expected. They went on to say that because the performance of the server has been reduced for an unacceptable length of time they will be offering compensation.
A few people have been asking when the server will be upgraded. As there is no problem with the actual server I'll try to explain what's been happening so nobody is confused. Many dedicated servers like ours are hosted by a London company that keeps all the servers in one protected room in London's Docklands. They recently had to move to a new location in London and this is where the problems started. When they moved, all the servers had to use slower connections until British Telecom could install the type of connection our server needs to run properly. And as I said British Telecom have not finished the work they were supposed to do to get everything finished by Friday.
I want to make clear that this is not the kind of thing that happens everyday. Large companies don't just move their servers around for no reason. This kind of restructuring only happens once every ten years if that.
As we're getting tired of having our site and yours run slowly we quickly thought up a four point plan to speed up the server.
1) The banner ad code was quickly changed so that the banner script was not being run from the server. That should slightly relieve the stress on the server. If you haven't received the new banner ad code please reply.
2) We're hosting no more sites until the server is back to speed as adding new sites to the server will just slow it down. That means any site that hasn't already had an account created will get an email asking them to reapply later. That also applies to network members creating hostees. If you have not already received an email with your hostees details you should soon receive an email saying their account cannot currently be created. You are free to create sub domains that are a part of your site, just not sub domains or domains for a hostee. If you have tried to create a hostee and haven't received any emails about their account please reply.
3) All accounts will be checked to make sure they have a version of the banner ad code and the 2Gui button on their site. Sites that don't will be immediately deleted as they are using system resources.
4) All accounts will be checked for cgi scripts which use a lot of bandwidth. These include:
Chatrooms - that are run from our server
Banner/Button exchanges - these can use a lot of resources
Topsites - excluding autorank
If you have one of these three please get in contact immediately so we can see if they are causing an unacceptable drain or not.
Finally on a totally different note I'd like to thank saiyanz-rage.net and animevegeta.com for making amazing buttons for the 2Gui Network.------------

¤ The entire Cartoon Network, Toonami, Rhino, & Warner Bros has failed miserably on their mission to re-fill inventors with the new Toonami: Deep Space Bass CD. The new Toonami CD was expected to hit store all across U.S. on May 15. Over 90% of the stores that were supposed to receive a re-fill on the CD, didn’t obtain the CD. The Toonami Officials have given us a mandatory release week of July 1st to July 7th , that the CD will re-hit stores again. You can pick up a copy of the Toonami CD during the first week of July. I advise you to get the Toonami CD because the composer of the Toonami soundtracks “Joe Boyd Vigil“ will blaze a path across the universe with manic beats and space-age rhythms created exclusively for Cartoon Network's Toonami.
The Toonami Officials said, “Certain computers may not be able to access the enhanced CD portion of this disc. Neither the manufacturer, the developer, nor the distributor makes any representation or warranty, or assumes any responsibility, with respect to the enhanced CD portion of this disc.” The enhanced portion of the CD contains “Web links”, you must have an existing browser and ISP connection to access those links. The multimedia stuff is "Made with Macromedia" and is a trademark of Macromedia Inc. "QuickTime" is a trademark of Apple Computer, Inc. registered in the U.S.
If you got your hand on a copy the Toonami CD, you are extremely lucky. If you tried to reserve or order it over the web, you will receive it in the next few weeks. If you tried to special order it from a store, well you better keep your fingers crossed. Album Producers & Toonami Creators: Jason & Sean are trying their best to encouraging all Toonami fans to buy the new CD. Well, this should answer the 000 e-mails I get on CD.

¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨

¤ I found this article at Lycos.com which talks about the overall drop of interest in Japanese anime over the past few months online. For epample, look at Gundam Wing, which was in the Lycos 50 for 27 straight weeks through most of 2000, peaking at #8. It last appeared on January 9 and Gundam Wing searches are down 57 percent since the beginning of the year. So why is Dragon Ball Z still at #1 on the list? ...the still-phenomenal level of interest in Dragonball Z shows that anime shows still get a ton of queries if they are enough of a licensing juggernaut. Dragonball and Pokemon both are licensed in every way imaginable, with TV shows, videotapes, comic books, card games, video games, toys, and who knows what else. ...
To make a sports analogy, Pokemon represents what might happen if (when) Michael Jordan comes back. A year ago, Pokemon was like Jordan at his peak -- untouchable. Just like Jordan was far and away the best player in the NBA, Pokemon was far and away the most popular topic on the Lycos 50. When Jordan comes back, he may be very good but he'll be just one of a number of very good players. He won't be special anymore. That's the situation with Pokemon right now. It is still very popular, but it is just one of a number of topics which might make the Lycos 50 top ten in any given week.
Of course, if you continue that analogy you end up with Kobe Bryant as Dragonball and Shaquille O'Neal as Britney Spears. Come to think of it, that's a pretty funny image. Don't know about you, but I am rhooting for the Lakers to win the cup.

¤ Like we reported 2 weeks ago, - "Dragon Ball Z, the highest-rated program in Cartoon Network's popular Toonami block, blazes all expectations. DBZ ratings earned triple-digit increases across kid, tween and teen demographics with the airing of Z-Day on May 25th. Compared to the same time period last year, kids 6-11 ratings increased 146%, tweens 9-14 ratings increased 125%, while teens 12-17 increased 100% and boys 9-14 ratings increased 144%. "Dragon Ball Z is an immensely popular program. To see this type of growth is amazing and a great testimony to the strength of the series," notes Gen Fukunaga, President of FUNimation, which introduced Dragon Ball Z to North America."

Lord Slug is a thrill ride as the mysterious villain has emerged from an asteroid and is an enemy to the earth. There is a good chance that Lord Slug will release on VHS and DVD simultaneously. This is not official and things could change, with the DVD following shortly behind the VHS release. FUNimation is doing everything to ensure a simultaneous release. We will keep you posted here when things are final. Look for Lord Slug at the www.dbzstore.com and retailers near you. Thanks Ironman Source : Official Site

T O P I C :::: Original DB Opening/Ending Explained

¤ Why Funimation re-scored the original Japanese opening, rather than use the original background? Mike LaBrie from D-EX has an answer for us.. It about time, I was wondering what happend to D-EX. Anyways here is what Mike had to say: The opening and ending theme to "DragonBall" are the original Japanese songs, re-scored and sung in English. Some may ask, "Why wasn't an instrumental of the original Japanese version used, and vocals placed over that?" Simple, my good otaku. No actual instrumentals of these songs exist. There are instrumental-type versions on a few CDs, but they have extra instruments playing the melody in them, so they are not true instrumentals. However, rather than make a ridiculous new dub opening for the show (a la DBZ), FUNimation continues to press forward in their goal to be considered a real anime company; "Makafushigi Adventure" and the closing theme, "Romantic Ageru Yo," are in the videos, and will be there with the original Japanese score throughout the entire series.
Also, there's a good chance we will see "Makafushigi Adventure" played on Cartoon Network, as seen by the dub opening for "Cardcaptors" being played, as well (Toonami has a history of not showing opening themes for its programs).

It turns out that the SULFNBK problem may not be a hoax, per se, but rather a mistaken email turned into mass confusion. This article explains that the SULFNBK problem was caused when a user who had a different virus erroneously believed that his problem was caused by the SULFNBK.EXE file. Once urban legend starts to spread on the Web, even logic cannot stop it. This was a big story this week on the Lycos 50. Searches for the supposed virus triple this week on Lycos. The supposed virus ended up at Rank #2, just one spot below Dragonball Z (Ranked #1), which continues to be an international sensation.

A little more mainstream (and a little more close up) was the brief writeup in the US tabloid The Star. The paper managed to snag a great photo of actor Willem Dafoe in his Green Goblin costume along with the first photo so far of the back of the Spider-Man uniform.

¤ Seems like Trigun may never air on CN. So if you are holding-up on buying Trigun Tapes or DVDs (because you thought they will air on CN, forget it), you might want to re-think and buy them because there is a slim chance that it may air on Cartoo Network. Tokyopop's flawed description of the Trigun Soundtrack lead many to believe Trigun was Toonami-bound. Today Pioneer has confirmed this was not true.. yet. I just received an e-mail from Cookie (Co-Editor-In-Chief) over at ANN, and he had talked to an official representative at Pioneer. This is what Pioneer had to say about it: As far as I am aware, this is simply an error by TokyoPop. Trigun certainly has never aired on the Cartoon Network, and the meetings with the Cartoon Network on this subject have been less than positive due to the libral usage of guns within Trigun... Still, never say never, just say not yet.
Since it is well known that Trigun has not aired on Cartoon Network before, rumors have spread suggesting Trigun would be airing on Cartoon Network soon. Due to Tokyopop's Trigun Soundtrack description that included "...the hit anime seen on Cartoon Network and distributed by Pioneer Entertainment..." Unfortunately RightStuf.com is also spreading the rumor that Trigun is airing on CN. But it is a typo on their part. Source: Anime News Network

¤ Warner Bros. announces the title of Matrix 2!
The word went out in an official press release from Warner Bros. late yesterday. Producer Joel Silver and the Wachowski brothers have officially announced the title of Matrix 2, and it's not the oft rumored Matrix 2.0. The official title for the highly anticipated sequel is The Matrix Reloaded!
The announcement was made by Warner Bros. Pictures' president of Worldwide Production, Lorenzo di Bonaventura. Di Bonaventura said, "The Matrix is an astonishingly innovative and influential film. We're thrilled that production is underway on the next installment, anchored by our stellar cast from the original film. Joel Silver and the Wachowski brothers took the action thriller genre to a new level, and I'm as excited as every other fan to see where they take us with The Matrix Reloaded."
Producer Joel Silver was also on hand. He commented on the high expectations for the Matrix follow-ups saying, "We know we set the bar very high for this sequel. Driven by Larry and Andy Wachowski's singular vision and combined with the brilliant creativity of our cast and crew, we're going to deliver all the cutting-edge action, explosive story and mind-blowing special effects that the fans and the franchise deserve."
The release also gave some production details reiterating the plan to conduct preliminary photography in Oakland until June, and then break three months in anticipation of Screen Actors Guild strikes. In September the production will move to Fox Studios in Sydney, Australia.
What of a release date? The statement says that The Matrix Reloaded will be distributed worldwide in 2002 by Warner Bros. Pictures and, in select territories, by Village Roadshow Pictures.
So what do I think of Reloaded? It's alright. It didn't exactly knock my socks off, but what title would? Of course, the Wachowskis haven't given a single clue as to what it might mean, but I'm sure it has some story significance. It does sorta jibe with the rumored plot summary that's been making its way around online. If I were picking a title just for sheer coolness I would've picked The Matrix Rebooted, or something like that. Maybe that'll be the third one?

¤ Wow. Well we have goten some awsome Affiliates Vegetto Style. I don't Even need to say how good that site is you all know it Kicks ASS. Also if you didn't know DBGT.COM Affiliated with us as well, and hey they got that new layout thing going and its AWSOME, Also when you stop by there go see their new SOTM.
- In other news Fireball-Network opened and is doing very very well and why not they have some of the best graphics I've seen in a long time.
- Also, Animelimit Has redone the site with a brand spanking new layout. I am going to be doing a section on this site as i feel it is one of the most under-rated sites in the Anime Community. Look for a new section on my main menu called Promotion. The section will feature a site I am Promoting for that month. All sites will be promoted not just affiliates. I will write a small caption about the site and provide an interview with the web-master If possible.
- Affiliation is CLOSED, UNLESS you think you can knock off one of the affiliates I have now, which is no easy task, but fear not, I am opening an affiliation page for regular affiliates. I will be accepting application only once a month and only 3-5 will make the cut so Get ready. I will open the application for this on JUNE-1st. If you request before June-1st I will not consider you for the list. I will be promoting this page very very heavily.
- Hosting is on hold for now untill I can st some standards. I am getting around 18-20 people applying for hosting. I cannot take all of you and have to set some paramaters to minimiz and pre screen applicants. Also I get emals regaurding the same questions "What do I get, Whats the terms" Well DO NOT ASK ME ANYMORE WAIT TILL I GET THE PAGE UP.
- Our host has informed me that they acquired another dedicated server and informed me that when this server change over is complete, SzR will be faster than it ever was.
- Also exclusive news to Saiyanz Rage only. Cosmo Canyon will be re-opening very very soon and the web-master who is hosting them, along with Cosmo are keeping me exclusively informed about the re-opening so check back soon.
- Rage Designs team has grown very big. We have acquied two very good graphic and layout Designers. Its a secret so you'll just have to wait till our opening to see who the staff are, of course the obvious are Exohell, Sam, and Gohan X along with myself....... I'm stll looking for some artist and layout designers so don't be afraid to drop me an email. Also if you do email, PLEASE show me some work via a link or something.

¤ Blockbuster Video, for week ended May 27.. Two Dragonball Z tapes made it in the Top 20 list Sales for the "Local Sales". Not only that, but both of the newly released DBZ tapes made it within the top 5 ranked sales.. Both World Tournament: Junior Division (ranked #4) and Great Saiyaman: Crash Course (ranked #5) were released this month May 15, 2001. This just goes to show us that there are a lot of DBZ fanatic's out there, who don’t wait for the TV release anymore. The Kai Tournament tapes aren't that popular and made the Top 20 list last week taking the last spot. But looks like the World Tournament tape is doing great. I wonder what rank will it be next week.
