-Subject: Updates on the ALL ANIME CHANNEL
Posted on Thursday, November 7 2002 -=- By {-SzR-} drop me a line
-We spoke with ADV Films marketing director Ken Wiatrik today to get answers about the Anime Network, and while the company is being pretty tight lipped, we did get a few details.

While previous reports have been that the channel would probably be a pay channel and not basic cable, Wiatrik's feeling were different, "I don't know, but I would hope it would be basic cable. The purpose of this channel will be to expose people to programs and genres that they have not already been exposed to in the past."

What about the programming? Well, ADV's press release merely states "The Anime Network(tm) model is structured around four categorized content areas: Action Zone, Sci-Fi, Comedy Incorrect, and Horror/Martial Arts. These categories are designed to include virtually the entire spectrum of quality anime, while contextualizing content for new viewers unfamiliar with specific titles."

While Wiatrik wouldn't talk about non-ADV shows he did say that not all ADV shows would appear on the Anime Network, but they are looking at airing the following shows: Gunsmith Cats, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Getter Robo, Gasaraki and RahXephon. In fact, RahXephon will probably air on the Anime Network before it is released on DVD. "We will be premiering programs that have no shown in the past. RahXephon will be hopefully premiered on the Anime Network."

And yes, the above logo is the current official working logo for the Anime Network.

Thanks to Masenko and Anime News Network -=- SzR.

A 24HR ALL ANIME CHANNEL FOR USA.. YUPP FOR SURE here is the info

"John Ledford announced that ADV has just made arrangements to have a 24 hour All anime Cable channel (for the USA). Steve was able to speak to David Williams in production and was told that they have not decided if this will be a pay channel or just a regular channel. They are leaning toward a pay channel because they do not want to air it edited, but they may have to....."

-Subject: Adult Swim Revamps; Removes Most Anime
Posted on Saturday, November 2 2002 -=- By {-Sam-} drop me a line
-According to a Collegiate Presswire story, Cartoon Network (Probably due to its recent acquisition of Futurama) is expanding its Adult Swim schedule to Monday through Thursday starting January 12th.

The "Comedy" block on Sundays will stay, but except for Inu-Yasha and Cowboy Bebop (Which will replace the Toonami Midnight Run block on the weekday slots) the Saturday "Action" block will be gone.

This means that the legendary series Mobile Suit Gundam will not be aired in full for the second time in a row on CN. Future airings of Yu-Yu Hakusho, Outlaw Star and Gundam 0080: War In the Pocket are thrown into doubt by this decision as well. More schedule details in this article.

-Subject: DBZ Budokai Trailer
Posted on Wednesday, October 23 2002 -=- By {-SzR-} drop me a line
-WOW just seen the trailor and I must say this game is 20 times better than DBGT Final Bout. If you wanna see the trailer just click DBZ Budokai Trailer. WOW great I love the part where Piccolo is hitting Napa then in mid air as Napa is falling back Piccolo charges up this blast (the screen goes black) and then hit him. Also the part when Goku goes from normal to Super Saiyan (during the battle with frieza) WOW. And the part where Cell throws a blast at Vegeta and Vegeta knocks it back at him MY GOD this game looks AWSOME. once again DBZ Budokai Trailer. Don't need to right click (unless you want my link so you can post this on your site) becasue I embedded it onto my site so just click DBZ Budokai Trailer.

- 1. The new Trailor for the DBZ Budokai game is out. You can view it at Dragonball Z Budokai Trailor
- This game is NOTHING like DBGT Final Bout. The paly is much more fluent and there are way more characters and MOVES to be done here. I do NOT understand why so many people have a misconception that this game will be another DBGT Final Bout game. I mean if you check the Dragonball Z Budokai Trailor you will realize this game is far more reaching than DBGT Final Bout could ever be. I believe this game is a very good introduction to a long series of DBZ video games. I do want a DBZ/GT game that is based around the METAL GEAR SOLID concept. But hey, we gotta work with what we got. I do hope all of you buy the new DBZ Budokai game as to show Infogrames that the DBZ/GT games are very popular and that it would be to their advantage to make MORE of them. Just my final 2 cents on the game. Once again Dragonball Z Budokai Trailor.
