• The Crucifix :
This Cross is huge, and heavy. It's heavy "Because it's so full of Mercy". But the Cross Punisher, Nicholas D. Wolfwood shows "No Mercy". He is a good friend of Vash the Stampede, but unlike Vash he is a cold blooded killer. As we watch Wolfwood become more and more compassionate, he is still is a doesn't hesitate to kill his enemies. This Priest in Black who carries his cross ervey where he travels has many tricks up his sleeve through out the series.
The Cross or The Crucifix which Wolfwood carries is actually three weapons. The Crucifix is divided into 3 parts, The top head of the cross, The bottom leg of the cross and The 2 short arms of the cross.
First !! - One of the short arms of the cross is filled with about 8 pistols, all of them identical. They appear to all be .45 caliber pistols, each with an ivory or gray color body with balck handles.
Second !! - The bottom leg of the cross is an extremely powerful machine gun loaded with a ton of bullets or ammunation (ammo). This would explain why one of the short arms of the cross is never opened, which leads me to believe it's ammo chamber. We never get to see Wolfwood load the machine gun ammo, who knows he loads it.
Third !! - The final weapon of the punisher is located in the top head of the cross. It's a very powerful rocket launcher, or grenade launcher. It blows the crap out of anything it hits. Wolfwood doesn't use this to often, but you can catch him using it when he battles Grey the Ninelives in episode #21.
Nicholas Wolfwood fashioned his gun after the one used by his mentor, Chapel the Evergreen. We find that their crosses are very simliar, but only by shape. Wolfwood's weapon is self contained, where as Chapel's cross is actually two different guns that come apart to fire.
• .45 Caliber Pistols :
These are the pictures of the .45 caliber guns that Wolfwood keeps in his cross. He has about eight of them, and they fit in the arm of the cross. In the second picture (above) you can see a side view of the cross's arm. That's where Wolfwood keep his semi-auto .45 Pistols.
In picture to your right, as you can see... How the pistols slide into the arm of the cross, and then the cover slides back to close it. These pistols were first used by Nicholas Wolfwood in episode #10. These pistols are also refered as "The Belief Lighting". Beacuse these .45 pistols are used for fast atacks, for injuring a group of people without actully killing them.
• Machine Gun and Rocket Launcher :
These pictures (below) shows the cross as it is seen in the anime. You can see how the bottom leg turns into a machine gun, and how the top head fires rockets. You can even see where the rocket exhaust comes out of. This picture also shows the trigger configuration. Look at were Wolfwood hold the cross, from the center of the cross (where all the four sides of the cross meet). That is actually three different triggers for the different weapons.
Wolfwood uses the maching gun on "Grey the Ninelives"
Wolfwood uses the rocket launcher on his cross for the first time.
