T R I G U N
• Introduction :
On a desert planet scorched by twin suns and five moons, bounty hunters scour the planet looking
for The $$ 60,000,000,000 Man. In this lawless time stands a lone gunman. He's an outlaw, who
goes by the name "Vash the Stampede". Also known as the Humanoid Typhoon, the man responsible
for wiping out the entire city of July. The price on his head, $$60 Billion double dollors.
Truly a man to be dreaded. There is no record of him ever taking a life. However, only two
things ever happen to those who are after the 60 Billion $$ skull of Vash - they either crawl
away wounded, or they stagger away in disbelief that such a
dork could possibly not be the man they are looking for! Where he goes, destruction follows.
That is just a joke for Vash because he knows there is no human that can kill him, and get the
money. While I admit that that side of Vash is somewhat less than original, but when you add
in his "mysterious past," "tragic love," "partial memory loss," and "evil rival," and mix in a
healthy dose of "goodness" and "humanity", you do get a pretty memorable hero.
However there is one person who is skilled enough to kill Vash, and get the $$60 Billion Double
Dollars. We then come to know that its his twin brother Millions Knives how want to kill
Vash.. but he is not after the $$60 Billion. He wants to get back at Vash for what he did to
the city of July. So, Vash the Stampede teams up with the cross punisher Nicholas D. Wolfwood
to fight the Gun-Ho Guns and their leader Legato Bluesummers. With the combind help of Vash
the Stampede and the preacher in balck (Wolfwood) they mannaged to all the Gun-Ho Guns.
Just before the end Vash ends up shooting Legato. Props up to Wolfwood for geting with Milly,
but a very sad death of Wolfwood, made the filter episodes in the begining more touching.
In the end it boils down to Vash and Knives. Thes brothers duke it out. The suprise ending
between Vash and Knives is what keeps us all wating for a new Trigun Series.
There is certainly enough material here to carry on into another series, though it's unfortunate
that it won't happen. I'd love to see the result between Vash and Knives in their new
relationship and I'd like to see Meryl and Vash actually get together. But at the same time
I'm not sure if I could watch more Trigun knowing that there'd be no more appearances from
Wolfwood. All the episodes he was in Trigun are my favorites episodes in this series.
