This news comes from Bandai at the New York International Toy Fair. However it is not stated when it will be appearing on Cartoon Network or when it will be released on DVD. -Subject: The Ultimate Evangelion Experience?
Posted on Tuesday, February 18 2003 -=- By {-Izlude-}
-Well what do ya know... Gainax is milking more money from Evaholics has we speak (then again, who doesnt? Marketing Masters...) -
"Gainax has released specific details of the "Renewal of Evangelion" Japanese home video release. All of the Evangelion animation will be re-released in a 10 disc DVD boxed set that contains the entire 26 episode TV series broadcast on Japanese television 7 years ago, the extended "director's cut" versions of episodes 21-24, and the final edits of the Death and End of Evangelion movies. The video footage will be entirely remastered to present the best looking Evangelion ever seen and will include 2.0 and 5.1 audio tracks. The new DVD set will also include 1 bonus disc of supplemental material featuring non-credit opening and ending, trailers, and a never before released "live action version of the film."
The Renewal of Evangelion DVD boxed set will be released in Japan on June 25th at a retail price of 39,800 yen. The individual DVDs will be released separately beginning in July.
As a sneak preview of the remastered re-release, Gainax will release a "Neon Genesis Evangelion 01 Test-Type" DVD on March 26th. This 30 minute DVD will retail for 1500 yen and include the remastered TV episode 1 and a new music video of "Zankoku na Tenshi no Teze."

I'm not very fond of Eva, but I know alot of you people out there who are. It's like the Star Wars Special Edition of Evangelion, in its ultimate, most high quality, top notch form. I wouldnt count on seeing a Box set of this calibur hitting the states for a few years, since you can already get the Evangelion Perfect Collection from ADV, and the two movies from Manga Entertainment. But... if your really THAT hardcore of a fan, you can always import it (applying that you have a region free dvd player).
Other than that... underground sources suggesting that the next volume of the Evangelion manga should be hitting in Japan soon (yes, it's still running!), I have no details about it really, but hey, more Eva will keep the fans going (seriously, I cant get into this series! Damn Shinji whacking off every 5 minutes!).
Now for something I ACTUALLY ENJOY, Time Asian Magazine's website has published an nifty article regarding Shonen Jump's success! Check it out hereTime Asian Magazine
It's great news that Shonen Jump is selling so well, but this is by all means, no way a "fad". Anime is not a fad, its art! Commerical Art ^.^ Even after all the Pokemon crazed died down, people still buy it and go nuts over it, hell Nintendo makes a new game every single year. Holy... I think I finally found what kind of editoral I should do for SzR! "Is Anime a Fad?" heh heh... that would work out pretty well... -=- Izlude.
-Subject: Shonen Jump Best Selling EVER, and more news!
Posted on Tuesday, February 18 2003 -=- By {-TheQuestion-}
-Issue #1 of Shonen Jump has reached the highest number of sales numbers ever recorded by a comic book in America. Never has their been one release that has sold more copies. This is a huge step up for manga, and anime in general to topple those American heroes we know such as Spider-Man and Super Man.

In further news, Rurouni Kenshin which will be coming to Toonami shortly with edits coming in the areas of blood and language. The show WILL NOT have a second run-through so make sure to catch it when you can!

Whelp that's it. I cannot WAIT for YYH to become as popular as DBZ. I'm a huge fan of the series and actually run a site about it, however that is down right now. Also, if you want to check out the Kid's WB TV ratings go here. Alright everyone, this is TheQ signing off.

-Cowboy Bebop The Movie -Release Date: April 4, 2003 - Alright time to pay tribute to CB The Movie. First of that is the official poster for the movie located to the left of this article. I have seen this movie also known as Knocking on Heavens Door. I enjoyed it and most Bebop fans do. in fact it held the #1 spot in Japan for a long time. This movie is promoted by Sony who oddly enough hasn't made any attempt to cross promote it with any TV Series. No matter this is another Anime that will show main stream movie companies that America wants more Anime placed on the big screen. So Whats it about? Well here is a brief summary. Faye kinda is catapolted into a big mess when she is trying to capture this Hacker and ends up watching this tanker explode killing a bunch of people but more impotantly a Virus is released that stems from this exploding tanker. The Government places this high reward for the capture of the criminal and Faye is one of the only people who seen him. Of course Spike joins in for the bounty that leads him to Maroccan Street where he meets a man who gives him important information. At this point Spike also meets this veil woman. Well not revealing to much they find out that this virus can multiply itself and self destruct. Stuff happen on a train and a woman survives and is not affected by the virus. They analyze her blood to see why she is not infected. They create an anti virus and try to release it over the city. I won't say more you gotta watch it.
