-Subject: New ZOIDS on CN, ROCKMAN.EXE on WB, and MORE!
Posted on Saturday, February 15 2003 -=- By {-TheQuestion-} drop me a line
-According to this article from Animation Insider, a new ZOIDS series will air on Cartoon Network this Fall. CN has ordered 26 episodes of the new series but nothing is known about the plot line at this time.

Another article on Animation Insider reports that the Rockman.EXE anime by ShoPro Entertainment will begin airing on Kids WB Summer 2003 under the name Megaman: NT Warrior. There has been no finalized airdate at this time. I can't wait to see this series myself as I'm a HUGE Rockman (Megaman) fan and own almost all of the games and have seen all of the original T.V. series which aired many years ago.

In even further news, a report from AnimeOnDVD.com said that Toonami's "Giant Robot Week" which will feature Neon Genesis Evangelion, Dai-Guard, and Martian Successor Nadesico will air completely uncut. This came as quite a shock to me, as I would have imagined that these series would have to be heavily edited to air on Toonami. For heavans sake, we are talking about Neon Genesis Evangelion, one of the most controversial anime titles of all-time. I guess it may end up being ok as they are not going to be showing the whole series. I'll be interested on the outcome of the week and possible reactions by various organizations. If something comes up regarding it, I'll be sure ot report it along with the other news items I have reported today.

Thus ends my first post here on Saiyanz-Rage. I am very happy to be contributing to this site, as I have been a fan for a long time. I would like to thank Izlude and the rest of the staff for giving me a warm welcome, and I'd also like to thank SzR for giving me the oppurtunity to work here. And if you haven't done so already, check out the Editorial section where I will be contributing a lot of work including my latest and first editorial ever which you can find here. Well, that's it everyone. Have a safe weekend. This is TheQ signing off.

-Subject: UK DBGT Airing sooner than US
Posted on Saturday, February 15 2003 -=- By {-SzR-} drop me a line
-CNX in the UK has begun advertising GT and will air it after they finish up DBZ which should be very soon cause they already started airing it.

Thanks DD

And well CN in USA says In September 2004 they will play ALL episodes of Dragonball GT in order. They are only skipping the 15 episodes on video and dvd temporarilly.

-Subject: Site update & Tims post
Posted on Saturday, February 15 2003 -=- By {-SzR-} drop me a line
-Editorials are up. Go to editorials and look on the left side for the 2 editorials. AWSOME great job. WOW. If you have any send them in, just look at the editorials page for the requirements.

Now on to Tims post. What can I say, TIM you and me see eye to eye on so many things. I think out of all this new change that FUNimation is doing they only made good on the new GT logo. in short, FUNimation - "Your KILLING ME"

-Subject: DBGT Theme - This just keeps getting worse
Posted on Saturday, February 15 2003 -=- By {-TimofLegacy-} drop me a line
-I have listened to the new DBGT theme song and yes I think its horrible. You fans hoping FUNi might switch back to the original theme are in for some serious disappointment. FUNimation is now holding a contest where people send in a VHS tape of them dressed in costumes and sing the new theme song karaoke style. FUNi.... what are you thinking?? You know you made a TERRIBLE theme song, but now you want us fans to look like morons singing that song??

In regards to the episodes being skipped in DBGT, I seriously don't think any work whatsoever has gone into the skipped eps and FUNi has just started with the Bebi saga (excuse me... Baby Saga). I don't think a box set of the skipped stuff will ever come out or at least not anytime in the next year.

-Subject: Rurouni Kenshin on Toonami! Some GT talk
Posted on Friday, February 14 2003 -=- By {-Izlude-} drop me a line
-I was checking out CN's site a lil bit, and I noticed that RUROUNI KENSHIN was added to the March line up! I checked around good news sources (Anime on DvD, Anime News Network and Anime Nation News) and yes, it is all true!

Here check it out yourself - Cartoon Network's Schedule

I think this is excellent news for Kenshin fans. Also... if YYH manages to keep the PG rating next month when it premires, this could mean Kenshin will be given an PG rating has well which means alot less editing. But alot of Kenshin fans should realize a MUCH bigger factor behind this. Remember Big O? Sucked alot in Japan, but it did swell in America after being aired on Toonami. Well... if Kenshin does really well, it may motivate Sony enough to animated the final saga to Kenshin, the Jinchu Arc! CN's success with the Big O allowed for another season of Big O to get made... so... you see where I'm going with this?

Has for all the stuff going on with DBGT, I guess it makes some sense to cut out "the non action episodes" a.k.a the crappy ones (but then again... GT is kinda almost like crap heh heh, well... ok the story sucks, but action is cool).

Hmmm but it is a smart move in a way, how so? They can air it all in a single run! Then if people wanna see the junky episodes they can easily do so on DvD, thus giving Funi's DvD profits a nice boost! GENIUS!!! I wish they did this with DragonBall Z!!! LOL Although I have got to admit... Funi did a nice job on those DvD covers (What are on SzR? This modernization is mondo cool dude! lol). I have to say its much cooler than screencaps, although... I do like Movie 7's cover a whole lot more, its more original, but this is nice too. Same dude who did American Budokai's cover ^.^

Anyways fans, remember RK next month on Toonami, lots of GT action n rapping to look towards too! Before I go, according to Anime Nation News, the ever so famous Excel Saga series is having the manga released courtesy of Viz! Read up - Anime Nation News

Oh yes before it slips my mind, lets all have a huge welcome to The Question, were Yu Yu Hakusho buddies dudes, so give him a good welcome or feel the wrath of Kuwabara's SPIRIT SWORD! ~ later days

SZR ADDS: Okay to clarify some of the postings, In September 2004 Cartoon Network will play ALL episodes of Dragonball GT in order. They are only skipping the 15 episodes on video and dvd temporarilly. But will release them probably at a later date.

-Subject: Digimon to LEAVE UPN & DBGT DVD Release
Posted on Friday, February 14 2003 -=- By {-SzR-} drop me a line
-Cinescape Reports that - YAHOO! Entertainment News states that Disney has decided not to renew its' agreement with UPN which underpinned the airing of Disney-produced kids' shows on the network.

Leaving the UPN airwaves will be shows such as DIGIMON, LEGEND OF TARZAN, and RECESS. The shows are expected to find homes on one of the Disney-owned networks.

Thanks DZ

Well the site Anime Fans did a search at both Rightstuf and Animenation to find DBGT DVD release dates. If you would like to check them out, They made a DBGT Release Schedule on their site - DBGT schedule

They also included links in which you are able to preoder them. Its appears as if two dvd will be coming out per month starting in April.

-Subject: Update to previous post
Posted on Thursday, February 13 2003 -=- By {-SzR-} drop me a line
       -Thanks to Kabobward

"FUNImation stated they got negative feedback about the first 15 episodes, and so they went strait
to the start of the action, which will keep the DBZ Feeling coming"

Also thanks to Andrew for the following.

FUNimation has released the first 2 Dragonball GT DVDs for preorder. you can get them at RS.

I have uploaded the 2 covers and they can be viewed by clicking This LINK to GT covers.
In my opinion they look like crap and i feel FUNImation may be going a little overboard to try and change the image of DBGT to fit the times. Sometimes you need to leave well enough alone... just my 2cents on the covers you can view them Here.

-Subject: RARE UPDATE
Posted on Thursday, February 13 2003 -=- By {-SzR-} drop me a line
-now due to the recent release of the DBGT episodes i have gotten a few email on why they aren't showing 15 of them. Well this is why this post is RARE i never usualy post a GUESS but this may be worth it. REMEMBER this is only a guess and not confirmed. After a brief discusion via email with Andrew we both came to the same guess, FUNimation may try to do a DVD box set promo for the GT series by offering the 15 episodes in an exclusive "only available" on DVD box set. 3 episodes on one DVD which would make a 5 DVD set. THIS is just a guess but due to the numerous emails i thought i would throw this possibility out and see if any fans that visit SzR could dig something up through possible contacts with FUNimation reps. if you dig something up please let me or my staff know. Thanks..

 - Ah yes. What is this thing called Tokyo Online. One of the better forums on the internet. You can find people from the likes of Tim from DBZGT Legacy, Myself, Deano of DBGTN, Yac from VBBang and many more cool webmasters on the net. Also to note, this is probably the only place that you can probably hold a long conversation with me and get to know the "PERSONAL" side of SzR. This place is pretty mature, I mean if you go there you'll see what i mean. I mean from the subtle little use of words from Saiyan1 to the Graphic AWE of //NUG// you'll find yourself posting all day. Also with scripting wizards like Deano and Trigunflame, you can find a lot of support for the ever popular PHP and MYsql. Don't worry if your not into gossiping, they have an awsome RPG forum that I have never seen before. Its no secret that these forums are run by MajinGOHAN and MADneo themselves (you know the crazy fools over at Animega), and I must say they got themselves a little diamond in the ruff in that being the Tokyo Online Forums. Well hope to see you there ! @ Tokyo Online..
