My path down memory lane took me to when I first started using the web.
You have to start at 2002 when Dragon Ball Z was on Cartoon Network. My brother and I would get off the school bus and run straight into our grandmas house. We would sit in the same chair together.
Each episode would transport us into the life of Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Freeza... the battles and the painfully long build ups - the magic of storytelling!
Any child who expresses them self reaches to creativity - day dreaming, drawing pictures... or as it just so happen to be for kids our age - the emergence of a buildable web!
At that time, the language we wanted to learn was code - xhtml, tables, the power of building and creating this natural human desire to express ourselves upon the medium of the digital web.
So, I suppose this is where my path down memory lane takes me now. The simple emotion of finding childhood memories on Archive.org (thank you God) from our favorite websites.
My hope is that I can find some more and share more stories of the early web - even now as that web is dying. We can at least keep our precious memores of what it ment to us to learn to be creative and fight code... like Goku!
