Many people would know this site already. Final Anime X is the best site for our SOTM for August 2002. It has been doing some serious work and has been becoming popular. I think its my honor to review this site. Well here goes my review on one of the best content sites on the Net.
Content: The site is full of content. As you can all see, its an anime site and its motto matches its content. "The Best Site for All Anime Needs" is right. It has 67 anime sections with almost each one having a few bios and character descriptions. Even though some of the anime sections haven't come up yet, the other sections are enough to keep you reading and busy. And if you visit the Dragonball Z section, its huge and has almost the same number of sections as of any separate DBZ site. The multimedia is good even though you are forced to enter by voting. Then there are other small sections in multimedia such as mangas, Anime Babes, Movie Clips and so on. And if you are wanting emulators and roms, this site has a seaparate section for it too. Then the webmasters. Even though, they don't offer that much free stuff, they do offer free scripts and also have a few tutorials. Tell me, isn't all this enough for an anime site? The content truly deserves 10/10
Graphics: Not much graphics to see in the site as part of their layout. The top banner of the site is cool displaying scenes from Dragonball GT. They also have an image gallery and it is good to visit. Thats all the graphics I have seen so far, but more graphics only makes the site slower to load. So I think the graphics of this site deserves a 5/10
Layout: Ah, the layout. The layout is always a big part of the site and this site's layout is very simple and easy-to-navigate. With two navigations and one main content table, the site loads very fast as you go from page to page. The left navigation offers all the animes and at the bottom of the left navigation are the Topsites and Statistics. then the right navigation shows you the main menu, the multimedia, the emulation and the webmasters. At the bottom is the Network and the Affiliates. The layout is very simple and gives the site a professional look. Everything is composed of simple tables. Even though the layout is not very unique and is becoming more and more popular with every new site, it deserves a 9/10
Script: As in many cases, the site doesn't use a lot of new and unknown scripts. they se Fusion Version 3.4 for their news. Then simple HTML for the layout and the Layout/Include script of PHP which helps the webmaster to change all the pages easier. But even though these scripts are the only ones needed on a site, interaction between the viewer and the staff is less. They could put up a shoutbox or a tagboard which is pretty easy to script and this could increase interaction. But unfortunately, the webmaster hasn't put up wither of these. But still, the site doesn't fail due to interaction. It has a language script that can be used for translating all the pages into a certain language. Very usefyl indeed. So the Script gets a 7/10
Overall: Final Anime X is your best source for all your Anime info and multimedia. The site should be visited if you are an all-star anime fan and want to know more about other Animes. Their Dragonball section is one that should not be missed and I think this site will quench all your thirst for Anime info.
Overall Rating: 8/10
