On May 27, 2003 in a media briefing in Tokyo, Sony annouced that they will be releasing a new Playstation console at the end of this year. It will be released in North America and Europe in sometime in 2004.
With the exception of the console's 120Gb hard drive and built-in Ethernet support, the PSX console's new features won't offer any benefits as far as gaming is concerned but--thanks to the inclusion of a TV and broadcast satellite tuner, and a DVD recorder--will instead transform the PlayStation 2 into a set-top box capable of delivering online play, music, and movies straight out of the box.
When playing games, the controllers will plug into the rear of the PSX console where the hard drive and Sony Memory Stick compatibility have clearly rendered the standard PS2 memory cards obsolete. No pricing information for the PSX has been announced at this time, but the box will be marketed as a high end electronics product rather than as a game console and, as such, will be handled by Sony's Home Electronics Division as opposed to Sony Computer Entertainment.

What is a PSP you might ask? Well in the end of 2004 Sony Entertainment is bringing out a Portable Playstation.
"PSP" will be equipped with a wide screen 480 x 272 pixel (16 by 9) TFT LCD monitor with a backlight, and powered by super chipsets utilizing the latest 90 nm semiconductor technology. For graphics, 3D rendering will be enhanced by the employment of curved surfaces (NURBS) along with conventional polygons. Video quality will also be enhanced with MPEG4, which delivers quality equivalent to DVD video at a low data rate.
"PSP" will have an USB 2.0 port for further expandability and connectivity to other devices, such as "PSP," PlayStation 2 and many other systems, along with a Memory StickTM slot for network applications and data transportability in a wireless environment.

Hey guys, the date is set. Animatrix will hit the shelves on June 3rd, 2003. The anime is based on some of the actions and storyline of the hit movies of Matrix and Matrix reloaded. The anime will not have any of the same characters in the previous movies. They will be all new! Im really looking foward to this anime and I hope you are aswell.
