This is not the Goku everyone knows about; he was destroyed in a battle long ago when he took on a legendary super saiyan. His cells were scattered all over Planet Earth. A scientist with evil intentions who had viewed the battle, managed to gather all of Goku's remaining cells. Using Goku as the base element of his experiment, he gathered more from the remains of fallen warriors all over the universe and merged the cells to form a new breed of warrior, he left the warrior with the name Nemesis and explained the height of his plans involving him. The new warrior wasn't impressed by the scientist’s idea to use him and to test out his new powers, he killed him. Something the scientist didn't realize was that this Nemesis still had parts of his memory remaining, including that of his last battle. With revenge in mind, he set out with his new powers to destroy his enemy. He retained his name as Goku.
