Trunks Special

A fun fair is being fun, and is probably the last remaining one in the world, as a security guard moves the rope so that the next batch of people can get onto the rollercoaster. Two people push, and the security guard tells them to wait their turn. The female one turns round, and decides to just blast the guard instead. The androids are now at the fair! They ride on the rollercoaster, laughing to themselves because of the fun that they are having. Another security guard rings up the worlds last remaining army, asking for assistance, but there is no reply. Over in some wastelands, there are steaming army tanks, and turned over supply trucks, signaling the destructive path of these horrible androids. The visitors flee from the fun fair, as the androids continue to have fun on the other rides. Gohan and Trunks hover above, noticing all of the terrified visitors, realizing that the androids must be there somewhere. They scout the area, and finally find the androids. the two half Saiyans set themselves down in front of the two evil ones, and prepare to fight.

The female android doesn’t seem to optimistic about the Saiyans chances, and tells #17 just to kill them quickly so that they can get back to having fun. The male android - #17 – steps forward, and Gohan tells Trunks to move out of the way, and the teenager does so, very obediently.

#17 charges at Gohan, and he jumps out of the way, dodging a kick, then powers up to super Saiyan form. He and #17 exchange blows, with Gohan doing blocking mainly. #17 manages to land a kick, and sends Gohan into a pillar, then quickly follows it up by catching up with the Saiyans flight path, and slamming him down to the ground, sending him through the roof of a ticket booth. He quickly follows Gohan in, hungry for blood, as the female android goes on the merry-go-round, curiously watching the fight. She sees Gohan storm out of the building from out of the corner of her eye, and then watches as he tries to blast the incoming #17. He is too fast for Gohan though, and manages to get within a whiskers range of the Saiyan, before Gohan lands a punch into #17’s face. The android falls back, as Trunks excitedly notices that Gohan is actually winning the fight. The super Saiyan starts to furiously attack #17, eventually getting a punch in, which knocks the android down to the ground. Gohan charges in after him, but is met by the female android, who slams him down towards the ground, sending him into the glass window of a shop. #17 moans of his fellow android (Now known to be called #18), but #18 just tells him to stop pretending that he’s losing so that they can get on with having fun again. #17 smirks, then he and #18charge in at Gohan, ready to cause an awful lot of pain. Gohan looks on as they spilt up, with one taking his legs, and the other hitting him in the face as he fell. Trunks has seen enough, as he charges in looking irate, but only managing to get blasted back by #18. He quickly recovered though, and he charges towards her, with #18 backflipping all the way up the big wheel. Trunks is right on her tail though, as they both land on one of the little boxes at the highest point on the wheel. Trunks charges at #18, and she seems to be having fun playing around with him, knowing that he is no where near as strong as her. He continues to lay down the punches, not getting anywhere fast, when #18 gets a fairly light one in. Trunks is momentarily phased by this, but quickly recovers, and hits #18 in the gut whilst her guard stayed down. A look of excruciating pain comes across her face, as she quickly pelts Trunks down off the top of the big wheel, using incredible speed to catch him before he hit the ground. Trunks has nothing left to give, as #18 prepares to destroy him. Gohan sees what she is doing, and dives in, knocking her off her feet, and making her blast miss by a long way. #17 tried to hit Gohan as he leapt off, but missed, and fried Trunks’ back instead. Trunks goes into a rapid descent, and is caught by Gohan just before he makes contact with the ground. #18 and #17 try to finish the two of them by blasting them with a series of powerful beams. Gohan narrowly outruns them all, with Trunks bouncing around in his hands. Gohan manages to get out of the androids field of vision, and hide behind a small pillar, which is one of the very few remaining features in this theme park that is still standing. Breathing hard, Gohan hopes for the best as he holds the unconscious Trunks in his hands. The androids are oblivious to where the saiyans have gone, and look around, blasting everything that they can see. Gohan looks around, and sees the two androids almost directly behind them. He holds his breath, hoping not to be noticed as a bead of sweat drips down his face. #18 holds her hand in the air, and a ball of energy forms on it. Gohan sees the light from it out of the corner of his eye, and shields Trunks as the blast causes a blinding white flash to shoot across the theme park, destroying everything in its path. The androids don’t think that Trunks and Gohan have been finished just yet, but they know that they will meet up with them again, so they fly off back home.

Gohan is looking in a bad state after the explosion. His face is covered in cuts, and he has lost an arm. He struggles over to Trunks, using his remaining hand to pull himself towards the teenager. From his belt, Gohan takes the bag of sensu beans, and unties it by using his mouth. Gohan weakly picks the bag up, and empties it, struggling to maintain consciousness. One bean falls out, and Gohan knows that only one of them can have it. Nobely, Gohan puts his all into crawling over to Trunks, and half heartedly puts the bean in his mouth, before collapsing, knowing that at least Trunks will be safe. 

In a dark room, with a small spotlight only on a computer, Bulma is hard at wok, tapping away on the keyboard, making the final adjustments for her latest invention. she is interrupted by the sound of something dragging along. She turns round to see a very bruised Trunks with Gohan on his back, not showing any signs of movement. Trunks explains to Bulma that Gohan protected him from the androids. Bulma quickly called a doctor, and Gohan was bandaged up, but not looking at all recovered back to full. He had bandages all over him, and some areas on his face and chest were still wet with blood. Bulma says that she knews that the two of them were fighting all along, just like Goku would have. She tells Trunks that the time machine will be ready soon, and that he will be able to go back to when Goku was alive. Suddenly there is movement from Gohan, as he curses the androids, desperately wanting revenge on them.

Gohan is out of bed, and although he is still in no shape to fight, he is training Trunks. The little teenage kid continues to try to reach the elusive super saiyan stage, but Gohan tells him that he needs to become angrier. Trunks thinks of what the androids could be doing right now as he uses all this time to train, and his hair begins to stand on end. He becomes very close to becoming a super saiyan, but can’t quite manage the last part, as he falls down to one knee, regretting and despising the fact that he isn’t yet strong enough to make the grade.

Gohan and Trunks discuss the super saiyan feat, and Gohan says that he didn’t manage it until the androids killed Piccolo, Krillen and everyone else. He says that Trunks will be there soon, when the time is right. Suddenly, a huge explosion comes from the city that they are looking down upon. Quickly, Gohan gets to his feet, and powers up to super saiyan form. Trunks tells him that he is in no shape to fight, but Gohan powers up, ready to go into battle none-the-less. Trunks gets up, but Gohan orders him to stay where he is. Trunks wants to go with him though, and eventually, Gohan reluctantly gives in. They are about to fly off when Gohan delivers a chop to the back of Trunks’ neck, knocking him senseless. He turns him onto his back, and tells Trunks that if he dies, then the Earth will have no one left to fend for it, and within a couple of years, he will be strong enough to beat the androids, so there is no point in him risking his life just yet. Gohan the takes off, ready to take on the androids with one arm, still hurting from their last battle.
