 King/ North Kai:
King Kai or North Kai overlooks the North quadrant of the North Galaxy. He overlooks Earth and some other planets nearby in that quadrant. He lived on a planet at the end of Snake Way and the only wa of reaching him was by crossing Snake Way. On his planet, the gravity was 10 times that of normal Earth gravity and so it provided a good environment for training for starters. King Kai lived with Bubbles the monkey and Gregory. He is very decent guy and has many wonders up his sleeve. He is also a great cook, but he can also be very corny at times with his corny sense of humor. But still, he is a pretty good guy.
His planet got blown up when Goku instant transmitted himself to King Kai's planet alongwith Cell when he was about to blow up and so to save the earth, Goku, King Kai, Bubbles and Gregory sacrificed their lives. But still, Cell's reign of terror wasn't complete and he came back to Earth while Goku didn't. If it weren't for King Kai, Goku wouldn't have defeated the Saiyans and also without King Kai's start, he wouldn't have reached the stage he is at right now.
