The History of Trunks

This is one of three specials in the DBZ/GT series, this one is titled the HIstory of Trunks.
It takes place in Future Trunks world after Android's 17 and 18 have been released and have destroyed their creator
Dr. Gero.
The special starts out with Master Roshi, Oolong, and Puar in a Capsule Corps. submarine under Master Roshi's island.
The three compatriots are very scared and frightened of what is to come. This is because Goku, Piccolo, Vegeta, Yamcha, and Tien are all dead, due to the Androids.
The scene cuts to a car ride with young teenage Trunks and his aged mother Bulma. They hear that another attack from the Androids is on the loose. Trunks, who is getting very angry about this, is enraged.
He flies off to the city that the androids are terrorizing, but when he gets there he is too late. So he flys back home where he is greeted by his old friend of Gohan he survived the android's assasination of the other Z fighters.
Gohan, who hasn't visited Trunks or Bulma in a very long time, comes to greet Trunks and invite him to become his apprentice. Trunks accepts this offer and everyday from then on Trunks and Gohan train to awaken Trunks' Super Saiyan abilty. At one point in their training they hear that the androids are terrorizing another city. Gohan goes to stop the androids. Trunks, who was supposed to where he was and journey back home, follows Gohan secretly.
The androids are terrorizing a Carnival in some distant city, as always the androids are trying to have fun, so they blast their way onto a roller-coaster. Gohan, seeing their ruthless act, calls them out. Of course the Roller-Coaster is destroyed.
Gohan powers up and goes Super Saiyan and starts to fight Android 17. Gohan seems to have the advantage until Android 18 joins in and starts to help 17. To help Gohan, Trunks barges in and punches 18 in the face. She blocks the punch and starts to fight him with ease.
Trunks calls her a witch and 18 punches him upright and Trunks falls to the ground. 18 powers up a blast and fires. Gohan who sees this runs over and shields Trunks and protects him from the blast. They run for cover in the ruins of the city. 17 and 18 who really dont care at this point pop off a couple of blasts and hope they get lucky. They dont, but Trunks and Gohan are heavly damaged. 17 and 18 fly away to leave Gohan and Trunks to their misery. Gohan who pulls out his Senzu beans is about to eat one and then realizes he only has one bean. So being the good samaritan that he is he gives Trunks the bean. Trunks is replenished of energy and takes Gohan back to his house. Gohan is heavly injured and Bulma is force to amputate his arm.
About a week later Trunks and Gohan are back to their rigorous training. Trunks gets extremly close to becomeing a Super Saiyan but he collapses everytime. Gohan gets a bit bored so Trunks and him go rest on some pillars of rock. Gohan immediatly sees a mushroom cloud and becomes enraged, this cloud was formed by the androids and their blasts on the city. Gohan immediatly goes and flys to the scene, but Trunks follows. Gohan who doesnt want to endanger his friend knocks Trunks out and goes to fight the androids.
The androids immediatly realize who this person is and immediatly start to fight him. Gohan, even with the loss of an arm still fights valiantly, but the odds are against him, so he gets blown up into a million pieces. But before he dies he makes a statement that the androids will be beaten by someone stronger than he.
Trunks awakens and realizes that Gohan left without him. So he flies to the city to help, but of course he is too late. Trunks sees Gohan lying on the ground dead.
He is so enraged and furious that Gohan didnt let him help that he starts to scream in pain, this screaming releases the hidden power within Trunks and he becomes a Super Saiyan.Trunks vows that someday he will avenge his former master Gohan.
3 years later, Trunks feels that he is ready to fight the androids. Trunks is now about 18 years old and has aquired the sword given to him by Tapion. Bulma as of right now has been working on the time machine that will take Trunks back to the past to restore peace in the world before him. But this is only a last resort, so Trunks takes off to where he hears the screams of pain and agony.
Trunks arrives at the city where the androids are terrorizing the people, he calls the androids out and they all begin to fight.
Trunks fights valiantly but still he is not prepared for the android's brutal attacks. Trunks retreats to a ruined building, but the androids find him and start playing mind games with him as he runs from different ruins. They get bored so they blast Trunks into a pool of water, Trunks bravely gets back up and charges at 17. 17 is really quite annoyed now, so he blasts him again and Trunks stays down and gets knocked out. The androids fly away to terrorize another city and leaves Trunks to his demise.
Somehow Bulma finds Trunks and nurses him back to health. By the time Trunks is healed, Bulma has finished the time machine and Trunks takes off to go help Goku and the rest of the Z fighters in the past.
Review:
I thought this movie was ok, it was a bit repeative sometimes and Gohan's voice was kinda distorted. But still if your a DBZ fan you'll like this bit of background information.
The History of Trunks gets a 3 out of 5.
