National Tournaments at Comic Con Scored!

Thanks to all of the DBZ CCG gamers who came out to participate in the DBZ CCG National Championship Tournament. We scored with all of the fans filling up over 45 slots for tournament play. After challenging hours of strategic combat moves, a winner emerged from the dust. Brian Blanchard was the DBZ CCG National Championship winner! Armed with a powerful deck that challenged every gamer in the tournament, Brian was a cool cat under pressure, "The level of competition was outstanding! I was just happy to get the win, especially sweeping the 3 of 5!" Brian said. Don't miss out the DBZ CCG World Cup Championships at Gen Con, in Milwaukee, WI. The tournament is scheduled for August 3-4, 2001. The best of the best
will be competing for the grand prizes.

Irwin Toys Has Special DBZ CCG Cards!

Irwin Toys Limited, Canadian toy manufacturer, announced in May 2001 the release of a special line of Dragon Ball Z action figures in late August. Inside of each of these action figures is an awesome DBZ CCG exclusive promo card. These promo cards are specially printed for Irwin Toys and can only be found with their action figures. Each card is labeled with a special card number and only two are being released. IR1 is Super Saiyan Goku, which can be found with the Goku action figure and IR2 is Super Saiyan Gohan which can be found with the Gohan action figure. Androids Main Personality....only as an Ally?!

Questions about Androids Main Personality? We have received a number of emails from DBZ CCG gamers about why the Androids can only be played as an ally in the game. Well, to answer the many requests, we decided to address the question at hand. The Androids power levels are extreme and they are just too powerful against any of the existing personalities. Until the Cell Saga is released in the winter of 2001, there is no opponent worthy of combat against these dastardly villains. So, in order to keep the peace,(and not unbalance the game) we decided to only allow Androids Main Personality cards to be played as Allies. Fully Playable Main Personalities of Androids 16, 17, 18, & 20 will be available in the Cell Saga.

Tennessee DBZ CCG fans are raving over Big O's Collectibles in Morristown. Big O's Collectibles located in College Square Mall in Morristown, TN has the largest following of DBZ CCG fanatics in the area. Equipped with rows and rows of comic books, card games and anything Dragon Ball Z CCG, Olvid Lambert, manager of Big O's remarked, "We have everyone asking about DBZ CCG. We have a really big following in Morristown." If you are the intense gamer, then you will definitely want to check out their gaming space. They are a sanctioned store that hosts 2 to 3 DBZ CCG tournaments a month.

Frieza the Cyborg level 3, card number 163 from the Trunks Saga, works quite well with the Black Style Mastery, card number 145 from the Trunks Saga, because all Black Style attacks performed by Frieza will do +4 life cards and +4 power stages of damage.
