I'm sure any real anime fan has heard of TriGun. I mean how can you not know who the blond-haired comedian Vash The Stampede. A guy who not only happens to be a complete idiot, but is also the best gunslinger to ever step foot in the neo-western world. The guy has a $$60,000,000 bounty on his head and can destroy entire towns.... by accident..... For those who do know of TriGun, you can rejoice for your favorite home videogame console could be getting a port of it soon! "The Planet Gun Smoke Trigun" is the current title of the project. Planet Gun Smoke is the third Trigun manga series, after Trigun and Trigun Maximum. For those who don't have a clue what Trigun is, I suggest you visit the local video store. Trigun is a sci-fi anime featuring Wild Wild West-style action, on a much grander scale then Clint Eastwood could ever hope to be on. This all takes place on an "alien" planet inhabited by humans. This planet appears to be just like Earth, only with a more, western frontier type setting. No system was announced for the Trigun game, but Nightow, who was in attendance at the announcement, stated that it would employ the network technology pioneered by PC and Dreamcast according to PS2.IGN. The game is currently being developed by "Red Entertainment" now a sub-developer under SEGA. And judging by Sega's history over the past few months, I'd say that it's safe to guess the game will be making it's way to the Playstation 2. Sega has also brought or is in the process of bringing titles like Virtua 4, Headhunter, Crazy Taxi, NBA2K2 (virtual concepts), NFL2K2 (virtual concepts), Tennis 2K2, Ecco the Dolphin, Ferrari F355, and many more to the Playstation 2 platform.
