Bits of News
As many of you may or may not know, Dragonball Z was displayed at the E3 Event which was just recently completed. Information is slowly leaking to the general public. As you may have seen posted earlier on the site the Playstation 2 Action-Adventure/Fighting Game has been confirmed through various details about the game. Check the main page for that post by Daniel Kurland. From what I can tell... Nappa, Krillin, Goku, 1st form Frieza, Casually dressed Yamucha, and Tien are confirmed playable characters. Stages I've seen are Namek, Tenkaichi Budoukai, and the desert similar to where the Z-fighters ganged up on Dr. Georo. The game looks like it'll play similar to DBGT Final Bout, probably more smoothly however due to the power of a more advanced system. The game also will probably be $39.99 since Playstation 2's suggested retail price for games has been lowered by Sony. That's all I can tell for now, I will have more later.
I also believe a Trailer movie was played at E3, I'll try and get movies or pictures of that. I'm definitely on the job, trying gather as much information and as many details as I can. Progress is slow however, this is "crunch time" as far as school goes... Final Exams, Standardized Tests, Research Papers, and all the other stuff that schools come up with to drive us insane. But don't worry I am on the hunt.
ALSO, I recieved this from "Greg Perry", take this information for what it's worth:
"Hi, my uncle works at infogames and he is currently working on concept art for dbz for gamecube and xbox, sorry not coming to ps2. Its going to be a cell shaded(like cell damage, or jet set radio) game with real time building explosions , terrain damage, and you can challenge another player to a duel on multi-player mode which will have several different modes including free for all and capture the Dragonballs(like capture the flag, and the game will consist of 1 to 4 players multi player mode and 1 player story mode. Be ready for previews of the game in late july. You can put this in the dbz video game secton if you want just please give me a credit.

If you'll notice, his information is wrong in the very 1st sentence, claiming no game will be available for PS2. Or perhaps the PS2 will have it's own individual game while XBOX/GC recieve a seperate title... only time will tell... Anyway believe him if you like, I'd much rather wait for a press release from Infogrames personally.
Also, just to clear something up that many people don't realize...
We do not... I repeat.. we DO NOT make these Dragonball Z video games!!! So don't email me complaining about how we should be making videogames for so and so. It's out of my hands. It's out of our hands. All I can do is report the information to the people, I have no influence whatsoever on the development of ANY DragonballZ product.
