Today, after nearly a year of speculation, Cartoon Network has confirmed that Dragonball GT, the sequel to the immensely popular series Dragoonball Z, will be joining the network beginning this fall. Dragonball GT from FUNimation Productions, Ltd. will air Fridays at 6:30 p.m. (ET, PT), beginning October 3 as part of the Toonami action programming block.

Well this is a HUGE surprise, previously we had thought no GT on CN until Fall 2004... well its a good decision by CN, by Fall 2004 most people wouldn't even care about DBZGT anymore.
Also,Throughout September, several different DBZ movies will air on Toonami at 6:00 each Friday.
September 5: Bardock: The Father of Goku
September 12: The History of Trunks
September 19: Cooler's Revenge
September 26: The Return of Cooler

And finally, the updated links section is up. Take a look.

The Empire has Risen

Like my fanfic? Well (assuming that you answered yes) thank you!
The contest is still going on, and I have in mind the one that I might choose to win 1st place. So if you don't want to be beaten just yet, then hit Microsoft Word and start typing!
Also in the works: A review (not a summary) of DBZ Movie #10. I thought it was a great, but for some reason it felt like I was watching an old-school DB movie....
And I know I promised you guys a month ago that I would have an Ultimate Battle 22 review, but due to hectic crap I'd rather not list, I just haven't got around to it. Sorry, but I'll try to throw together one, once my schedule clears up.
And BTW, did any of you get a chance to see Fooly Cooly last night? Man was that show weird, or what? I didn't the whole horny pre-teen, phallic forehead, crazy plot thing...oh well, maybe tonight's episode will explain w.t.f. happened last night. LOL.
I didn't get a chance to see of Blue Gender. Sorry Adult Swim, but these animes keep popping up like hellfire and I lose track of if I'm watching Lupin, Kikaider, or Blue Gender! And I still won't forgive Cartoon Network for putting Big O on for only one night a week.

The release date is December 2003.
Also, beginning August 16 DBZ will air at 12:30 ET on the Cartoon Network Sarturday Night Program (SVES). The episodes will start at the Afterlife Tournament, Episode #180, "Warriors of the Dead". Don't worry, DBZ will continue to air at 5:30 ET daily on Toonami.

There has already been one Yu-Gi-Oh! movie produced in Japan, a 30 minute film that has yet to be released in North America.
According to Variety the new Yu-Gi-Oh! movie is expected to be released in North American theatres next summer (according to ComingSoon.net the film is due on August 13th, 2004). Hopef
According to a YTV newsletter, Inu Yasha, the original Dragon Ball, and Dragon Ball GT are all scheduled to premiere on the Canadian station this fall. (this also came from DB Universe.) Kinda makes you wish you lived in Canada, huh?
Plus, from Anime News Network:
Tokyopop will be presenting a special "Anime Day" at this year's ManiaFest, a four-day film festival featuring science fiction, horror and fantasy. It takes place from September 18-21 at the Laemmle Monica in Santa Monica, CA.

Funimation's GT Apparently Doing Well
Posted by tennis_man45 on 08-03-2003 22:59
Dragon Ball GT: Preparation and DBGT Ramifications are listed as #17 and #18 in the First Alert Top 20 DVD sales for the week of July 20th, 2003. The First Alert list tracks overall DVD sales, including those of major distributors outside of animation.
The VHS First Alert numbers are even more impressive for DBGT. While some companies are moving away from VHS, FUNimation has maintained a commitment to the home video market, and it shows in their sales:
( Week of 7/20/03 ):
#1 DBGT: Preparation (edited)
#2 DBGT: Ramifications (edited)
#9 DBGT: Preparation (uncut)
#10 DBGT: Ramifications (uncut)
#13 DBGT: Proliferation (uncut)
#20 DBGT: Creation (edited)
I think that's very impressive. Even though more companies are pulling away from VHS it is still impressive to hold the #1 and #2 spots.
Also, take a look at the Mix-Ups Section, it's finally up. If you submitted you even get to see your name
