On the exact day that Trunks said the androids would show up, they did. And they started to destroy a city, as Yamcha was in the area. So Yamcha went over to see what was going on only to meet the 2 androids, he gets annihilated, and gets a hand through the chest. Then he gets his energy absorbed. The Others sense that his power is fading so they go over to him and find the androids, and an almost dead Yamcha. Goku Piccolo Gohan, and Krillin arrive on the Scene, followed by Tien. Goku suggests that they don't fight in the middle of the city, and so he leads the androids out of the city to some place that is totally desolate and nowhere to be found on earth..and it was right over there. So they finally land and The team discovers that the androids have studied their moves and attacks and fighting styles for a long time, and that they know every single move that they will make. The battle is pointless because the victor is already predetermined. But Goku finds out that they didn't monitor their fights on Namek because they had already gathered all the information they needed.

Goku takes this as good news because they don't know that he can turn Super Saiyan. So He turns super saiyan, and Begins annihilating one of the androids. It is a fat one with a white face called Android 19. They did not expect that such a power gain would effect anything, and so they blindly fight. But The android is getting annihilated. Only until Goku's heart disease sets in right in the middle of the fight. So he launches a kamehameha beam, and the android absorbs the entire beam making himself stronger. Goku doesn't believe it, so he launches another one but nothing comes out. Now that Goku is weaker then ever because of the heart disease, and the android stronger then ever because of all the energy that he absorbed from the kamehameha the table turn easily, and the android starts annihilating Goku. When he is about to finish Goku off a boot comes out of nowhere, and it turns out to be Vegeta. He interferes saying that no one has the pleasure of killing Kakarrot other then him. So while Yamcha takes Goku to get the medicine that trunks gave him, Vegeta starts battle with the android.

After giving a nice speech Vegeta proves that Goku isn't the only one who can turn super saiyan, and with an immense explosion of power, Vegeta transforms into a Super Saiyan. Much stronger then Goku ever was when he first turned Super saiyan, Vegeta explains that there is more then one way to reach the goal. And that he had undergone the most rigorous training, as long as your heart is pure it doesn't matter. But as Vegeta has proven your heard doesn't have to be pure good. It can be pure evil as well. So Vegeta knocks the android around and after ripping the androids arms off so that it couldn't absorb energy beams anymore he annihilates it with a Ki blast. He then moves onto the next android. But as the battle is about to Begin Android 20 flies off in fear. Vegeta eats a senzu bean and chases him. As the z Fighters are looking for the android they realize that they can't detect their power levels since they are androids, so they are forced to use their eyes.

The android uses this advantage to sneak up on piccolo and absorb energy from him. But after Gohan comes in and saves piccolo, the android ends up loosing one of his arms due to Piccolo. And after the rest of the gang comes, Piccolo starts banging Android 20 around, and when he is about to defeat it, the android runs off to get to his lab. We find out that Android 20 is actually Dr. Gero. This is when Trunks arrives on the scene with Bulma and she recognizes him. Vegeta finds out that Trunks is his son because his baby is the same name and he is the only other half-saiyan that can turn super saiyan. They find Dr Gero's lab, and they see that he is activating 2 more androids. Android 17 and Android 18. These are the androids from Trunks' future, and they are much more powerful then 19 and 20. After 17 takes out Dr Gero, he proceeds to activate Android 16 who is the strongest out of all of them, but he is gentle, and he will not fight anyone but Goku. They are programmed to fight and Kill Goku. Vegeta is prepared to fight them, but they just ignore him and fly off. Angered by this gesture Vegeta flies after them and catches up with them on a road.

Vegeta makes some remarks, and begins battle with 18. They seem evenly matched for a bit but then 18 unleashes her full potential and totally annihilates Vegeta. The rest of the z fighters come in on the scene but 17 takes them all out with 1 hit, also cracking trunks' sword. They fly off in search of Goku as the other z fighters have no choice but to go to warn chichi that the androids are coming and that they have to move Goku to master Roshi's house. So they do so and Goku is moved to master roshi's house while he is recovering. Piccolo goes to fuse with Kami to form a super warrior. After they fuse Piccolo heads back to master roshi's but on his way he discovers a town with only clothing and no people in it, so he stops and is introduced to a being named Cell, Cell explains that he is a being made by Dr Gero from all the Cells of the z fighters, so he has all their strengths and none of their weaknesses. Piccolo does battle with cell now that he is a super warrior, and it turns out that they are even strength. Cell launches a few moves of some of the z fighters like Kamehameha's and a Tri-Beam and things like that, but they are even strength in the end. So Cell goes off and disappears, and Piccolo continues on his way to Master Roshi's, when he finally gets there he sees that the whole gang is there so he tells them about Cell and how he's from the future, and that he used Trunks' time machine to come back and absorb the androids so that he can achieve his perfect state.

So Gohan and Krillin go and destroy the Cell that is still in this timeline so that he has no chance in ever developing and hatching. Back at Master Roshi's the androids arrive and they want to kill Goku, but Piccolo comes out and fights with android 17 instead. They are perfectly even, but eventually Piccolo starts slipping because he is not an android and therefore he can get tired. But android 17 always has the same amount of energy. what is going to happen?
